Cabbage leaves in her bra as the coolness eased it but i couldnt put food in my bra.. didnt seem right.

But I don't think it dried up I think it help cause she was swollen and in pain and it help release milk because she wasn't using it.

Its only been a week, usually the minimum time (that I've heard) it taking for your milk to dry up is 2 weeks (and that is really fast). Of course you're really not supposed to touch your boobs at all or even take warm showers to help 'dry up'. Idk about you but I couldn't imagine not using it if I had it, not all women get that lucky. (Personally I'm going to donate my pumped milk, they use it for preemies and sick babies whose mothers can't produce enough milk.

s milk tea and almonds and a lot of water I was bf on demand so I had a lot of milk supply I was kinda drying up so they told me to try all that before trying fenergreek.

I got him to feed from me for about minute when he wasn't hungry. He's working on it and getting better a little each time :) I didn't know WIC have out breast pumps though. n i already feel like im drying out on milk i breastfeed as much as i can .... but some night about 3 i have not breastfeed her due to my food (spicy) or gassy foods (trying to reduce coluc or gassy bby tummy) but since i feel dry i bought MOTHERS MILK TEA which is yucky awfully nasty... do any of you ladys know how to make it taste better or any other home remedies to produce more milk... pleade help im desperate....

I tried everything to get my milk to dry up, and nothing worked for me, I've had a milk supply for the last 7 years! Not a fully supply but I could get a few ounces out if I tried.

by now your milk should have been dried up only usually takes a couple of weeks for it to dry up after stop feeding was you on your cycle when you noticed it sometimes you have milk then too. If your in pain or breasts are hard and hurt i would contact your gyn they can give you a pill to dry up faster.

Lately I have been taking off my bra and noticing that my breast look like they are peeling. I'm not sure if my breast are leaking and the milk is drying out or is it that my nipples are peeling... it looks like dried Elmers glue lol. Any ideas what this is?

Trying won't hurt as long as baby still takes bottle but unfortunately lactation in all mammals is a supply and demand thing. After delivery your milk comes in. If you don't nurse/pump/hand express you start "drying" up. Kudos for trying. Also oxitocin, the hormone responsible for "letting" your milk down, is the same hormone released after orgasim. Be safe and try that before pumping/nursing.

Ur breast are just engorged I dealt with it really bad when I stopped breastfeeding my son after 4mths....pumping will just cause ur body to produce more milk...I agree with the cabbage (cold) I know its weird but it helps good luck...it will get better...

With excerise after your dr oks it, you can get it firm again but it takes a while as for the breast drying up, im not sure. I breast fed. To me, the most painful part when it came to my breast was when they were filling up. My breast looked like watermelons. It hurt for anything to touch them. When my breast did dry up after breastfeeding it did not hurt at all. Trust me though, it is all worth it. Anytime I was upset about my belly I just squeezed my daughter tight.

I never leaked, and after I gave birth I had a very low supply and ended up drying up. I've also heard it's a good indicator that you'll have a good supply. It's also normal to leak and many women do.

even though my milk supply was low I think it took a week and a half to dry up...you could use a breast-binder, they're supposed to help reduce the milk supply quicker and somehow reduce pain....I have no idea how long it would take if you're not breastfeeding though. just be careful because if you're taking really warm baths or showers it can cause your milk to letdown...and every time you letdown, the body will try to produce more milk....drying up really stinks, lol. I always told them when she goes off to college and they shut up real quick lol. Breastmilk on your nipples can also help and let the milk dry on. I wouldnt toughen them up durin pregnancy but thats just me i would just wait for baby because I cant imagine scrubbing something against my nipples it kind of makes me cringe.

I just wanted to let future readers know that I contacted the doctor today and she said that it can be very normal for milk to show up up to a year after you stop breastfeeding or pumping. She said to give it two more months and see if it stops. Thank you ladies for helping me and making me feel better. BTW, I think AF officially arrived.

Ok so I'm having a hard time with my new born breastfeeding he won't attach to me no matter what so I had to be pumping because I really wanted him to drink breast milk.But I'm having trouble I'm drying out because I was out of town and forgot my pump! Is there anyway I can start producing more milk???
