7249185 tn?1399663162 Common misconception. Milk is purely supply and demand. That's why it doesn't come in until after baby is born because it is the birthing hormones that send the signal to begin milk production. Prior to birth, breast changes occur that are preparing the breasts/body to produce but not actually producing (breast growth/tenderness/darker areolas/erect nipples etc).
Avatar f tn I had that too right before i started gettin milk.
Avatar f tn breast feeding is a personal choice. its 100x better for the baby! it wont make them sag according to my ob just decrease in size. as your body adjusts they will get stretch marks because they have to grow to hold the milk for your little one.
Avatar f tn I heard putting breast milk on sore nipples helps too... try that maybe?
Avatar f tn Chinese food nd butter butter cookies w a cup of coke (I knw its bad wompwomp dnt judge me :-)
Avatar f tn They supply milk, eggs, bread, juice and if your not breastfeeding, formula and baby foods when the baby gets older.
Avatar f tn When first starting out it is important to put baby to breast there are hormones that help with milk production and let down and baby helps with that. A pump does not give the mothering instinct like baby. It is also important to relax and not be stressed because that will hinder let down and production.
Avatar f tn They are a supplemental food program, they help supplement your diet to be healthy, so u can buy beans, rice, milk ect.
10275373 tn?1409333029 So I found this recipe and I plan on breast feeding and I thought this was useful cause I want to make a lot of milk for my baby so if u plan on breast feeding u may find this useful as well ... 1) Water OK, so water isn’t technically a food, but it is the most essential aspect of ensuring you’ll have an adequate milk supply. According to studies, 75% of Americans are chronically dehydrated.

With your infant baby, they have plans you can choose from depending on if you want to breastfeed or not. They offer a breast pump for breading moms. Avatar f tn ve been on wic since about 8 weeks they will provide you with wic services through your whole pregnancy then after you have the baby till the baby is 5 years old I think it helps a lot you get fruit veggies peanut butter milk eggs cheese juice breakfast cereal whole grains I love it
Avatar n tn As per my understanding breast size doesnt decide the amount of milk.. you would be able to breast feed. Tou would start feeling it becomig heavy - learnt from child birth education class.
Avatar f tn U can breastfeed at the same time. Or pump aswell...or regular milk is fine too.
Avatar f tn Well my fiance tells me that in between i should pump just in case I am away and she gets hungry then if he is there or someone then they won't have to worry, plus freezing breast milk is good up to over a year. I looked at thd twist and really like How it's designed, bag screws to pump, pump, then unscrew bag from pump and then screw bag onto the nipple.
Avatar f tn So...this is a little tmi...but my breast have been so itchy...and they have started to black patches on the sides :/.... Plus they haven't grew at all!! Everybody keeps asking me why they haven't and am I going to breastfeed...is this normal?? I thought when they itch that means they're growing lol....anybody else not have any growth??
Avatar f tn An infection can cause less milk. I would def. Call ur doc. See if u have the right size nipple suckins. And butter..
7656727 tn?1404157447 If you want to pump and feed right away without nipple confusion, look into feeding with a dropper, spoon, or cup instead! Messier to be sure but that way baby can still get food without refusing the breast. I would still give it a minimum of two to six weeks before introducing other feeding methods if you can!
Avatar f tn Nothing they will have a pump for you. If u go to the store get some nipple butter safe for baby to ingest Lansinoh I think is the spelling. Purple tube. If it's your first it will hurt but if you are determined you can do it and the pain will go away after about 3 to 6 weeks. I know it sounds harsh but once you get past it, there is nothing more relaxing. If you are planning on wearing a bra while in the hospital, get a nursing bra.

Avatar f tn Its nit really leaking it will just make my bra wet and my nipple itchy I dunno if that's normal....
Avatar f tn Yes, squeeze just a drop of milk out of your breast rub it around your nipple and let it air dry that is the best way I did it with both of my pregnancies works great!
