Avatar f tn The overhead pull worked wonders on getting the muscles in my upper torso and arms to stretch back out. My reconstruction was May 06 and I still cannot do a sit-up or leg lift without cheating, but it IS getting some better. I don't work at it as much as I should, but I've started back this winter trying to get things to stretch back out.

Avatar n tn I've learned that (so far at least), lifting things or walking up stairs brings my symptoms on so I try to keep my heart rate under 135 and don't lift heavy stuff.

Avatar n tn After that it moved down to my arm and it has basically settled in my upper arm. Like everyone else. I can me my arm up in front of me, but unable to lift it up from the side. The pain has become constant, but at times unbearable. At one point I was also having jaw and increased neck pain. That's when they found I had a cardiac blockage. After a cardiac cath and a stent placement, I was hoping the pain would end.

Avatar n tn You are likely deconditioned and you may be a little over zealous with your exercise program. Exercise at a slower pace for a little longer rather than pushing yourself to the point of exertion or exhaustion. You will gain more in the long run and obtain better cardiovascular fitness.
Avatar f tn While not having had a child may help your stomach skin tighten back up, it's not going to help the skin on your arms, legs, etc. You can't lift and tone breast tissue, but you can strengthen and tone the muscles around the breasts. Exercises that are best are those that work the pectoral muscles. Do a search for "exercises to tighten breast muscles" and you'll find quite a few examples and/or videos to help you.
Avatar f tn Sometimes I feel pain in the center of my chest right next to my left breast, sometimes the pain is under my left or right breast. My family doctor has taken pictures a few times but couldn't see anything. She thinks I don't have any problem. Each time I was happy to hear that. But at the same time, I know my symptom is developing. Hope somebody can explain.

Avatar f tn Lastly, I believe that there must be a checklist of items that are supposed to be checked postnatally by whoever is looking after the mother and baby. Surely they could have picked up on this under breast Issues, and at least inform the new mother what these lumps could be and when/if to seek further advice. Postnatal &Paediactric care is very scant in this country now anyway so I shouldnt surprised this was overlooked at that time.

Example: I woke up one time swearing that there was a spider on the wall. I woke up my husband and he said there was nothing there. I feel like I'm totally awake, eyes open, speaking clearly, everything. I just don't understand why this happens. Avatar n tn I lost all of my baby weight with no exercise both times (of course gained it all back because of NO exercise). Keep at it. It will all come off. You may be adding a few more calories (which is what you are suppose to do) so you can breastfeed. Good Luck and keep it up. Take Care and let us know how it goes.

Avatar n tn I plan to have a follow up with doctor next month because I found a lump in my left breast a couple of months ago. I had a Mammogram and ultrasound. They both came back okay just showing thickening in my breast but my breast tissue was really thick and hard to read. The doctor made me feel like I shouldn't be concerned because i am 31 and no family history of breast cancer, so he discouraged me from seeing a surgeon.
Avatar n tn i feel much better reading all your entries ! i have all the same symptoms, and "leg cramp" type pains under my left breast all the time. wakes me up in the middle of the night also. and, the next day, if feels achy. i TOO am on high blood pressure medicine. had all the tests done, nothing shows up, dr thinks i have head issues.

Avatar m tn Hello to all my HepC friends. I did my usual 4-mile walk, fell again but got up and kept going. (I suffered a mild stroke 4 years ago that has affected my balance.) I came home and brought four 30-lb. (+ or -) BioBricks upstairs from the cellar for my wood stove. 10 minutes later a sharp pain started suddenly right under my right breast while I was in the shower. This pain started about 45 minutes ago.

If you want to weight lift in addition to aerobic exercise, that would be fine. But, weight lifting alone is not enough.

Avatar f tn Exercise will help make your breast firm. Go to the gym and lift weights and work your pectoral muscles. This way you might also lose weight in your breasts and they will become perkier.
Avatar n tn Last year, my gynocologist found a breast lump in my left breast. She had me get a mammogram and ultrasound. Both tests were negative but because my breasts are so dense/lumpy, my oncologist also performed a core biopsy on the left breast/lump to make sure everything was ok. The biopsy came back negative too. She said I just had dense breasts and fibroids. She told me to lay off of the caffeine, and to take vitamin E, kelp, primrose oil and all my other vitamins.
Avatar m tn Then when it healed my sternum gets really sore depending on how I sit..I can't lift heavy any more and when I lift now (lighly) I'll feel my chest tighten up and I'll get lightheaded...I took 3 months off before trying again and it's still like this. After lifting (lightly) with any chest exercise I breath in deep and when i exhale it sounds kinda llike something's in my airway. I've had heart tests (echo, ekg, stress test, all was normal) and I had a chest X-ray it showed normal.

Lift weights every other day during the baby's nap time or first thing in the morning . Weigh yourself once weekly. Drink water throughout the day to help you stay hydrated and feel full. Avoid excessive caffeine if you are breast-feeding. Prepare several meals in advance to help you avoid eating high-calorie fast food after a busy day.
