I cannot afford the procedure or do not know exactly what I need if its a breast lift or reduction. I suffer from shoulder pains almost everyday am my doctor only prescribe me motrin for the pain. I really need help and cannot afford it. Is there a list or some doctors that can help me for free in nyc?
Avatar f tn Hi! I had a breast lift done about 8 years ago and i'm currently 22 weeks pregnant with my 3rd child. I know a lift and reduction are different but I did ask my OBGYN and was told being able to breast feed would depend on if the doctor severed or removed any ducts. You'll find out when the time comes so don't waste your emotions worrying about it right now. Plan to breast feed if that's what you want and just be emotionally prepared for the alternative.
Avatar m tn Both breast reduction and Breast lift are about re-positioning the nipple areolar complex to a more appropriate level (above the Inframammary fold), tightening the breast tissue and removal of excess skin. In breast lift, only a small amount of tissue is removed for shaping purpose but in breast reduction, a more significant volume is removed to actually changed the cup size of the breast.
Avatar f tn breast lift, breast reduction, and breast enlargement (augmentation). Depending on your specific case, one or more of these techniques would be helpful to restore a youthful look to your bosom. Breasts are not stagnant organs, they are always changing throughout life. In a young women they grow and develop. They change each month with the menstrual cycle. Pregnancy affects the breasts as does nursing.
Avatar n tn I cannot excercise because of them and I suffer from rashes and breakout underneath and in between them. I am in desperate need of a breast reduction but cannot afford it and my insurance will not cover the cost. I also suffer emotionally because of them and would like some help. Are their any surgeons who do pro bono reductions or the surgery at a reduced cost?
Avatar f tn Before I has my two children, I had c cup breasts. I breast fed for a year and now my breasts are back to a c cup but with d cup skin. My areolas are huge! My husband has admitted that they "aren't as nice as they used to be." I'm interested in a breast lift and areola reduction, and wanted to hear some of your experiences. How bad is the scarring and healing process? How much does this typically cost?
Avatar f tn Based on your description, some form of modified breast lift with coning of the breast to achieve central fullness seem a likely possibility
Avatar f tn 6 yrs ago i had a lift/reduction so this really freaked me out. To make a long story short when i went for a mamogram it was actually that my left breast had shrunk. A LOT. i know your thinking how could i not notice but i was too focused on the larger breast. By the way it was the same size it had always been. My left breast is about the size and feel of a baseball. A cup size smaller than the other.
Avatar f tn I went to another consultation and the cosmetic doctor told me that in order to remove bra bulge you must lipo the axillary pad not breast lateral. Breast lateral usually is for a breast procedure such as lift or reduction. I did not have anything done to my breast. Can someone explain me the difference is what was suppose to be my symptoms and the purpose of these procedures?
Avatar f tn I had a partial breast reduction done back in 2009, more like a lift than a reduction. I don't think my surgeon cut off my mammary ducts and I still do have some sensation on my nipples. I'm 23 weeks now and I really want to breastfeed when my baby gets here. I so regret doing that surgery now :( is there anyone out there who had success with breastfeeding after having breast surgery (not breast implants)?
Avatar n tn I had a breast lift with a very small implant put in about 10 years ago, now that I am unexpectedly pregnant Im very concerned about being able to breastfeed successfully! My implants are over the muscle and was done at the crease under the breast. I have two other children 1 of which I had absolutely no problems nursing, however that was before I got the lift!!! If anyone has experience with this or knows someone I would love to hear what you have to say!!!!! TIA!!!
Avatar m tn OMG I have the exact problem. I am 4 weeks out from bi lateral lift and reduction reconstruction surgery. I had phyllodes tumer cut out a year ago and just had reconstruction surgery. Right breast sore and tender but healing nicely. Under my left breast I have an open wound. Just came from the Dr yesterday and he has me doing wet to dry gauze. soaking 2x2 in saline and inserting in the wound and dry 4x4 over top. I have INTENSE pain, which I never anticipated this far out from surgery.

Avatar f tn If anyone has any suggestion on my treatment or why it all is happening to me, please respond. Btw it was a big reduction and lift (10cm nipple up and around 1kg off from each breast) .
Avatar f tn Hi, I had a breast reduction 15 weeks ago, 2 weeks ago I started experiencing pain in both breasts, swollen lymph nodes and a swollen rib. My surgeon doesn't know what could be causing these symptoms. Today my pain has become unbearable, cant lift/use arms and my left incision has become swollen/red and feels like it its pulling apart. Do you think I should call the hospital? Call the Surgeon? or go to the ER?
Avatar m tn m 40, childless (which means ptosis was not due to breast feeding) and had a breast lift 4 weeks ago. Implants were out of the question for me. If you want perkiness a lift, whether the incisions will be concentric, lollipop or inverted T is for you to discuss AT LENGTH with a plastic surgeon. I received an inverted T, which I am not at all happy with because the P.S. that did my breasts did not specify that during my consultation.
Avatar f tn I had a breast reduction done 10 years ago. I have many scars as a result. I also have fibrocystic breasts. I usually have my doc or obgyn do my breast exams because I find them difficult to do myself because of the nature of my breasts. What I am wondering is has anyone here ever had a breast reduction and find it difficult to distinguish between whats a problem lump and what is scar tissue. I have a lot of cysts some that move some that dont.
7251241 tn?1389564212 I think the breast reduction will be a good thing for you. I too know women who have had this and all are quite pleased. You go down to a more comfortable and natural size-- and so much of the pain and issues are gone. The downside is that it obviously is a surgery that has inherent risks. But I think from what you describe, the benefits may outweigh that tremendously.
Avatar f tn I am 19 and I have really large boobs, I am currently size 32 J and I am unhappy with the way my body looks, people are always staring and i often feel uncofortable in my clothes, I was wondering about the whole breast reduction procedure and how to go about getting it done, and if possible to know how much i could have them reduced by.
Avatar f tn Probably will end up costing me forty thousand with the nipple replacement and reduction and lift and followup.. Maybe fifty. I am price shopping as well as looking for the best or a very good surgeon. I can pay as long as I feel comfortable with the surgeon and the procedure. Dr. Zenns office said I had to completely pay off Duke for the mastectomy before they could see me. I even offered to pay him cash, which was not acceptable. I think MDs are afraid of my insurance.
Avatar f tn You will get use to them. I went from a 36FF to a 36D. It is quite a shock at first. Just think you will be able to wear cute bras and not have the straps digging into your shoulders. If after a while your still not happy with them you can always have a small implant put in.
Avatar n tn I have started Tamoxifen post rads as well. I do believe I have a 12% chance of reaccurance does this mean in the breast or can this be anywhere in the body. I forgot to mention I am 40 years old and my cancer was 90%+pr and 60%er+. Is it common for women to feel completely stressed and and anxious after treatment finishes. Also no lympathic invasion was found.
Avatar n tn Dear dee, I have a feeling my reply is late. You sound just like me 8 years ago. I had painful, burning feeling breasts. OBGYN laughed at me, as no cysts, mammo fine, asked if I wanted male hormones....a moron....this went on for a year. Suddenly, my nipple, which was partially inverted (Yeah, Doc was REAL bad) and became blood red. No imaging tests showed this cancer. NONE.
Avatar n tn Brief history: No family history of breast cancer, but strong history of colon cancer. Breast reduction & lift in June 2004 with staph infection to left breast immediately thereafter, causing hardened area, I discovered change to existing lump in late Aug 2008, followed by indentation in early October 2008. Diagnosed as fat necrosis by 2 biopsies in Nov & Dec 2008, but area I noticed as changed was not biopsied.
