m 40, childless (which means ptosis was not due to breast feeding) and had a breast lift 4 weeks ago. Implants were out of the question for me. If you want perkiness a lift, whether the incisions will be concentric, lollipop or inverted T is for you to discuss AT LENGTH with a plastic surgeon. I received an inverted T, which I am not at all happy with because the P.S. that did my breasts did not specify that during my consultation.
I had a breast lift w/ lipo 20 months ago- my left breast has been feeling like something is tearing inside and I have a strange, almost achey feeling in the breast and towards my armpit. This breast is larger than the right, but always has been. I also gained apprx 15 lbs since then and am not sure if this has caused these feeling. I am at a point where I don't know if I should be concerned and go back and see the cosmetic surgeon or should I see my family doctor.
My health insurance ghi does not cover breast lift or reduction. I am currently a size 42dd and my breast are sagging. I cannot afford the procedure or do not know exactly what I need if its a breast lift or reduction. I suffer from shoulder pains almost everyday am my doctor only prescribe me motrin for the pain. I really need help and cannot afford it. Is there a list or some doctors that can help me for free in nyc?
Breast lifts are uniformly performed with breast reductions. With a lift as the sole procedure, often just excess skin is removed without significant reduction of breast volume. With a reduction, both breast tissue and fat is removed along reshaping the breasts and elevation of nipple position. The decision as to which procedure to select depends on whether there is a need for volume reduction.

I have 2 solid masses in my right breast and am trying to decipher the measurements. the smaller one is 1.7cm x 0.50cm x 1.0cm. is that height, length width in that order? the reason that I am curious is that I have read that cancer grows vertically, and that masses that are taller then wide are more suspicious.

I'm 25 years old, and last week I did a breast ultrasound because of the fibreous "lumps' in my left breast. THe radiology report read:"UPPER LEFT BREAST HYPOECHOIC MASS, WHICH HAS TEH APPEARANCE OF A BENIGN FIBROADENOMA. BI-RADS CATEGORY3".
In April of 2007, I had an ultrasound done at a different location, and the result of the same breast in question read: NEGATIVE, BIRAD 1".
I will be done with the tissues expander in couple of weeks. The size looks acceptable, except two breats are mile apart. I look ok with a bra and some creative inserts to lift the sagging breast.. My PS almost always does a small implant to accomplish symetry. My obgyn says it will interfere with the screening. There is also an option of breast lift. I 'd like to hear from those who have gone through this.

Hi! I had a breast lift done about 8 years ago and i'm currently 22 weeks pregnant with my 3rd child. I know a lift and reduction are different but I did ask my OBGYN and was told being able to breast feed would depend on if the doctor severed or removed any ducts. You'll find out when the time comes so don't waste your emotions worrying about it right now. Plan to breast feed if that's what you want and just be emotionally prepared for the alternative.
Before I has my two children, I had c cup breasts. I breast fed for a year and now my breasts are back to a c cup but with d cup skin. My areolas are huge! My husband has admitted that they "aren't as nice as they used to be." I'm interested in a breast lift and areola reduction, and wanted to hear some of your experiences. The reason they did not give it a 4 is because I had had a breast lift 4 years ago, and they said it probably is just the result of that surgery. Seeing that I have had a CT scan with 4 lesions on my liver as well, I was uncomfortable with that recommendation and asked to have it biopsied now. They told me they could do one cluster easily, the other one would need a surgical biopsy (because of it's location).
I had a breast lift with a very small implant put in about 10 years ago, now that I am unexpectedly pregnant Im very concerned about being able to breastfeed successfully! My implants are over the muscle and was done at the crease under the breast. I have two other children 1 of which I had absolutely no problems nursing,however that was before I got the lift!!! But one thing i constantly kick myself for is not conquering the breast feeding thing with my first, so im hoping to give it another go this time round.
With my daughter, she wasnt latching on properly = not gettin enough milk, and causing me so much pain it was unreal - a light bulb came on in my head, and i thought 'why am i doing this to myself?! Hand me a bottle NOW!' so i bottle fed from then on. Expressing milk at this point was also like torture.

I went for a Mammo and a breast ultrasound today because of a dimpled area on the bottom left of my left breast. I am just shy of turning 36. While there is no breast cancer in my immediate family, I have lost many of my family to other cancers. During these procedures the technicians did not give me any information. However during the ultrasound the technician took several still pictures as well as marking a dark area with an arrow and taking measurements of the spot.
The measurements of your belly helps the doctor know if you have a big or small baby without having to do an ultrasound.
t worry. Based on my LMP, I was supposed to be 10w+6,bur when they did his measurements, he only measured 8w+6. Now I'm 24w+4 and my little man is doing great. He's still measuring right around where he measured in the first ultrasound. So, my doc thinks I just ovulated two weeks later than expected. It's most likely not an issue.
As the baby gets bigger measurements normally stop being as acurate... My daughter had stopped growing but because the ultrasound was a guess the figured she was going to be a nice 7 pounds...
