Breast lift after implants

Common Questions and Answers about Breast lift after implants

breast

Avatar m tn m 40, childless (which means ptosis was not due to breast feeding) and had a breast lift 4 weeks ago. Implants were out of the question for me. If you want perkiness a lift, whether the incisions will be concentric, lollipop or inverted T is for you to discuss AT LENGTH with a plastic surgeon. I received an inverted T, which I am not at all happy with because the P.S. that did my breasts did not specify that during my consultation.
Avatar f tn Breast lifts are uniformly performed with breast reductions. With a lift as the sole procedure, often just excess skin is removed without significant reduction of breast volume. With a reduction, both breast tissue and fat is removed along reshaping the breasts and elevation of nipple position. The decision as to which procedure to select depends on whether there is a need for volume reduction.
Avatar f tn You should not have gone for breast implants. See, not everyone are good candidates for breast implants. The surgeon will conduct some physical examinations and then only he allows you to get breast implants. I think you were not a good candidate. It might be the problem while conducting the above mentioned physical examinations that made you a good candidate. A dear friend of mine has had breast augmentation few years back.

1174607 tn?1264173583 My surgeon is wanting me to do a lift and implants to fix a lumpectomy that I had in May of 2009. It wasn't cancer, it was a galactocile the size of a softball that solidified (after trauma to my milk ducts during a car accident in Feb 2008 5wks after baby). Anyway, I have an inverted nipple and you can see were the seatbelt went thru my breast and he said due to the trauma he wanted to do the lift first and let that heal, and then do the implants.
Avatar n tn I had a breast lift with a very small implant put in about 10 years ago, now that I am unexpectedly pregnant Im very concerned about being able to breastfeed successfully! My implants are over the muscle and was done at the crease under the breast. I have two other children 1 of which I had absolutely no problems nursing, however that was before I got the lift!!! If anyone has experience with this or knows someone I would love to hear what you have to say!!!!! TIA!!!

Avatar f tn Based on your description, some form of modified breast lift with coning of the breast to achieve central fullness seem a likely possibility
Avatar f tn I had a breast lift with silicone implants and a mini tummy tuck 5 weeks ago. Approximately 2 weeks after surgery the incision area under both breasts opened quite quickly. Within a couple of days the wounds were significantly large and weeping. For the last 3 weeks I have been on oral antibiotics and treating the wounds twice a day with silver sulfadiazine. I don't see any sign of healing and my PS will determine today if I need to be seen by a specialist.
Avatar f tn I have saline breast implants that I got 14 years ago. I regretted doing it about 5 minutes after I woke up and have been very unhappy ever since. My breasts are normal in size but I do not like the feeling of having something foreign in my body and believe it to have caused some problems with my health. I would like to have them removed but the surgeon I went to told me it would not be pretty. Has anyone had implants removed? And if so, can you ever look normal again?
Avatar f tn I’ve had several breast surgeries in the past such as implants then a lift then removal of implants with a lift. In 2014 both were biopsied due to capsular contracture. All clear. Now I have two oval small masses with Hypoechoic no vascularity present in either. My impression read suspicious for malignancy. I’m so scared! Praying they are benign. My mother went through the same thing several years ago and it was the same breast. Are these words very concerning?
1378404 tn?1278974651 i saw a plastic surgeon not too long ago who specializes in breast implants gone wrong LOL, and he told me he would take off any extra skin that should have been taken off before the implants were put in to begin with, and he would remove these saline implants, give a breast lift and put in new silicone implants of a cup size smaller. this would cost around 15k. i dont have 15k laying around.
Avatar n tn Hi... just wondering if anyone has managed to breast feed after having a breast reduction?
Avatar n tn but as a result of the rapid weight loss i now suffer with sagging skin around my mid section and my breast look like deflated balloons. i was wondering if any one knew a pro bono surgen who could help me with a breast lift.
Avatar f tn I am 50 and recently had a bilateral mastectomy with immediate reconstruction with an expander and then saline implants. If I had it to do over again I would not do the reconstruction. I have not been comfortable in my own skin since the mastectomy 7 months ago. There has been a lot of pain involved with the expander and also with the implants interacting with my pectoralis muscles. The implants don't look or feel like breasts and they get in the way of my arms.
Avatar n tn How bad will radiation be on my implant-would I get new implants after all is done? will the breast getting radiation look lik ethe other one? if I get cancer in the other one can you do a masectomy on the both even thouogh one has been radiated?
Avatar n tn I have a situation that is similar to you. In the last year I have had two separate lumps that don't show up on mammogram or ultrasound. I have been to three separate sugeons for second and third opinions, since I'm the paranoid type. These doctors all feel that they don't warrent a biospy at this time.
Avatar m tn That would be a unique situation. I imagine those with generous breast implants may run into problems as well. If all else fails and the doctors are sure there's a problem, I suppose they could do a TEE (transesophageal echo). Not very comfortable, I'm sure.
Avatar f tn I had to have drains for about a week after my implant removal because one of the implants was actually ruptured (the smaller breast that is most like my original breasts before surgery was ruptured). In the past 4 months, I have had to go back to my plastic surgeon twice for him to extract fluid that was still in the larger breast. When he extracts the liquid it does go down a little and looks more normal. But now it just is looking really bad and I am concerned.
7928796 tn?1396351929 Its really different for everyone... I know one woman who breast fed three babies a year a piece with implants and I know another that breast fed her first, got implants and couldn't breast feed her second or third...
Avatar f tn Does any one have implants. And if so how did ur boobs look after pregnancy. How big did they get during ?
Avatar m tn However, there is also a possibility that this represents a new breast mass unrelated to the implant removal or the capsule left in the breast. You should go back to your breast doctor for re-evaluation. Take care.
Avatar f tn Actually, if your nipple still has feeling, the chance are high. Breast augmentation (breast implants) isn't a reason alone not to be able to produce breast milk. Most likely, it depends on the kind of surgery you had, but most approaches are compatible with breastfeeding. Incisions made under the fold of the breast or through the armpit shouldn't cause any trouble. A "Smile" incision around the areola increase your risks of breastfeeding complications.
Avatar n tn ------------------------------------------------------- Vacuum-assisted biopsy (brand names, Mammotome or MIBB) allows physicians to perform accurate breast biopsies on women with breast implants. Prior to the advent of vacuum-assisted biopsy, women with implants typically had to undergo open surgical biopsy if breast cancer was suspected. Unlike surgical biopsy, vacuum-assisted biopsy is a percutaneous ("through the skin") procedure.
Avatar n tn I have a 6 year old daughter that I wanted to breast feed, which was obviously before the implants but I never produced milk. So if you are unable to produce, it probably has nothing to do with the implants, maybe it's just your body. I'm trying to be hopeful that this time around I will produce but so far I haven't leaked anything so I'm just thinking there is something wrong with me, lol.
