Avatar f tn I had underarm extra breast tissue during my pregnancy, and after I stopped breastfeed it went away. Now two years later I found a small hard lump in the same area, and I don't know what to do. I am not pregnant. HELP!
Avatar f tn I used an epilatory cream on my under arm region about 3 months ago and since then Ive been plagued with painful red bumps under my arm every couple weeks, They last anywhere from a couple days to about a week. I am very afraid that it's something bad. Im getting breast implants in 2 months and I have planned a long time for it and I dont want anything to come in the way of that.
Avatar n tn The lump when pushed can be moved slightly. I also have slight pain in breast and underarm. I have not noticed any lymph node changes, just pain. I would not be so alarmed by this normally, but my grandmother passed away from breast cancer and also had cervical cancer. My mother has ovarian cancer and died at age 46. Could this possibly be cancerous? My shoulder blade hurts as well.
Avatar f tn I had breast cancer in 2004-2005 when I was 26. I had a mastectomy on my right breast in 2005 and 6 rounds of chemo for the cancer. I was in Stage 3, I think, because of the size of the lump. I had an implant inserted in 2007 for my reconstruction. That was all I was able to do for my reconstruction because I lost my insurance soon after that.
Avatar n tn Hi After I had my baby my body chemistry changed. The odor under my breast was a musty underarm foul odor. I tried gold bond, baby powder with corn starch and it did not work. I finally tried deodorant with powder and it worked. I feel so much better not having to weary about people talking about me behind my back.
Avatar n tn Hello, I am a 38 yr mom of 5, breast fed all my children, started my period at 12. Recently visited my Dr for a physical. I brought his attention to a lump in my r breast on just outside the areola towards the underarm side. I waited 3 weeks for a mam, then sent directly to the ultrasound room. Two days later my dr called to tell me I needed a biopsy, the radiologist was concerned about "irregular margins", the lump is solid, immovable and irregular shaped.

Avatar f tn This treatment may be used to kill any cancer cells that remain in the breast, chest wall, or underarm area after breast-conserving surgery. Radiation may also be needed after mastectomy in patients with either a cancer larger than 5 cm in size, or when cancer is found in the lymph nodes. Radiation therapy can be given in 2 main ways. 1] External beam radiation This is the most common type of radiation therapy for women with breast cancer.
Avatar n tn I had bilateral mastectomy with tissue expander reconstruction, silicone implants. I had 6 cycles of chemo. I have found a lump on the outside of my non cancer breast a few months ago. An ultrasound and MRI showed nothing conclusive. It has gotten a little bigger in the last six weeks since the tests were taken. I have moved to a new city in the last year and don't have a good familiarity with any of my Dr's.
Avatar n tn They are usually enlarged when a new deodorant is used, after shaving or waxing the underarm area. Have you been on regular follow ups for your breast implants? This could also be fat necrosis or scar tissue but nothing can be said with surety without getting the relevant investigations got done. Have you got an ultrasound done as yet and have you got a clinical examination got done by a physician? This would help in coming to a confirmed diagnosis.
Avatar n tn My best advice is a second opinion by a Breast Specialist or Breast Surgeon and perhaps a Breast MRI since implants do make mammograms somewhat less reliable. Regards ....
Avatar f tn I just had a boob job, meaning putting implants in my breast. It has been two weeks now and one has healed perfect and the other is totally higher than the other one and hard as rock. So im lop sided. One is up one is down. Its like its climbing up to my neck and is very painful, not to menshion I have breast tissue undermy arm on the right side where it is and so its poking out alot....
Avatar n tn I notced in the last 2-3 months a large lump, asymmetrical in the area where my underarm meets my breast (which is right where the lipo was done) I showed my plastic surgeon, he gave me antibiotics, but still there and not shrinking. It is the size of a very large grape, round, squishy feeling and does not hurt. I am going back to him to get it looked at again. I am only 33- and no history of breast cancer in family.
Avatar f tn I have not found any lumps, but I do notice on the left breast very close to the underarm that I itch occassionally. THe left breast today was somewhat scaly but not on the nipple or areloa, and i have no nipple discharge either. My left breast has always since puberty hit been larger than my right, so I'm concerned with what I'm feeling and am afraid and embarrassed to go to the doctor because of the different sizes of my breast.
Avatar n tn First, the size of the tumor relative to the size of the breast must be considered. If there is limited breast tissue, a lumpectomy with safe margins may leave a poor cosmetic result. In these cases, a physician may suggest mastectomy with reconstruction in order to provide for a better post-operative appearance. Another consideration is if there is more than one tumor in the same breast.
Avatar n tn I had pain that started out in what I thought was my breast, underarm and back. Had mammogram two days ago. The radiologist found nothing. For the last 5 to 7 days, I have been having a dull ache that started out under my right shoulder blade, yesterday the pain moved more to the middle of my right ribs that penetrates to the front side of my ribs, under my breast and goes to the back. Tonight I started having a dry cough and the pain is getting worse on that side.

Avatar f tn We were recommended to do a tram flap after my diagnose of breast cancer DCIS. I agreed because didn't want to have breast implants and then revisit in 10 yrs. After my first surgery, I contracted a very bad infection in the incision, they have to clean up the area multiple times; from April to August 2010, and left it open wound for a space of three weeks.. They closed the incision again, and after that I had my first hernia surgery on September 2010.
Avatar f tn I told my OBGYN about the lump and changes in my over health. She did a breast exam and this kind of upset me, 1. I have implants and 2. she did not even feel for the lump in my armpit. I expressed my concern and she ordered a CBC and that was it. The nurse called and said the blood test results were normal and they send me to the medical center for an ultrasound in 2 weeks. I feel as though they are unconcerned and basically blowing off my concern.
1657910 tn?1302375661 And today my rheumatologist said that without that much research out there, there is no way to say that with a mastectomy my GM wouldn't move to let's say my underarm. That even if we remove the breast tissue, I still have GM. He isn't ready to abandon ship yet, and my surgeon isn't either, I'm still ready to try meds, but just wondering how long is long enough. Anyone hear anything on GM moving locations?
Avatar n tn At age 43, I was diagnosed with Lobular Breast Cancer. It is breast cancer of the milk-producing lobes, not the milk ducts which is more common. I had a mastectomy of that breast and not the other which was clear. Since then, the remaining breast has had no odor whatsoever, and my BO is completely gone, despite switching to weak all-natural deodorant. In my personal experience, it seems like cancer might have be the cause. Lobular breast cancer is invisible on mammograms.
Avatar n tn My problem is pain affects the left side : breast, underarm, neck, arm, and rib cage with severe pain in the upper pectoral muscle. I also found a lump in the one o'clock postion on the left breast three months ago, which I discovered while trying to determine why the pectoral muscle hurts so much. The MRI confirms intra and extra capsular rupture of left silcone implant with intracapsular rupture of the right implant.
Avatar n tn //www.ctvnews.ca/health/breast-implants-linked-to-cancer-allowed-in-canada-despite-ban-in-40-countries-1.4350090 I feel that although CLL is not the same... the node that started this whole ordeal for me is 2 to 3 inches from my implant (its in a weird spot) Its gotta somehow be connected?
Avatar n tn It is impossible to predict when DCIS will become invasive. Therefore the standard of care for DCIS is to remove the lump or the breast (depending on the evaluation and recommendation from the surgeon) and follow-up with appropriate treatments depending on the final pathology. It is not uncommon to experience bruising and discomfort at the biopsy site. A biopsy does not impact cancer growth.
Avatar m tn If this occurs frequently in adults (a number of times per year) it could be related to the back. If this is the case, try swimming regularly using the breast stroke. A Google search for "wiki pcs" will give you more information.
Avatar n tn Hi everyone, I am 32 years of age and just about 3 years ago I started to notice discomfort in my right groin abdomen area and in my right underarm breast at the same time. The discomfort was that my groin, thigh, felt swollen. My underwear felt so tight on that side (like overnight) that I had to go and buy a size larger underwear. Ultrasound was done on my right abdomen and no signs of any unusual ovaries, so the doctors left it as a groin pull.
Avatar f tn If she says I can get a wedge pillow I will be sure to post how it did for me. I've had a breast reduction and i had to sleep on the sofa for 6 WEEKS which it S_ _ _S!!! I just hate to think about the recliner. Some people still say even after all this it is still hard to sleep in bed. I love these blogs I've have learned a lot about what I am in for.
