Breast augmentation gone wrong

Common Questions and Answers about Breast augmentation gone wrong

breast

Avatar f tn i went back six months later as my right breast fells slightly harder and there is a lump on the side its not a hard lump i can manipulate it back in, the surgeon recommended to massage my breast and hopefully it would improve if not to wait 18 months after my surgery until all the swelling has gone down.
Avatar f tn I had a breast augmentation in May to fix where I had breastfed my first baby. We hadn't planned on getting pregnant again but I am currently 9 weeks. I still plan on breastfeeding and am curious to what my augmentation will look like afterwards. Has anyone else previously had a breast aug and breastfed after that could fill me in on what to expect?
Avatar n tn I will be 36 weeks this Friday and I am wanting to breast feed, but my question is can I breast feed seeing that I have had a breast augmentation? When I had the surgery, which was 6 years ago, the doctor told me if I was to ever have children that I could breast feed and it would not harm the baby or affect me at all. I decided to go with the saline filled breast implants rather than the silicone. I haven't had any problems what so ever, but I am worried about what I have heard.
517119 tn?1285874992 Make sure that your plastic surgeon is experienced in breast reconstruction, not just breast augmentation. Many are not so this is an important thing to find out. You will be around to see your children grow up and your grandchildren and that will be many, many years away for your 15 month old.
Avatar f tn My mom had something similar and went in to have it removed. She has a tiny scar, but is glad it is gone. I don't know what caused it. Her procedure was outpatient, so she went home the same day.
Avatar n tn hAD A BREAST REDUCTION 3 YEARS AGO - WAS VERY PLEASED WITH EXCEPT THEIR WAS 1 SCARE UNDER MY LEFT BREAST. AS TIME HAS GONE ON I HAVE HAD PAIN IN MY LEFT BREAST THAT RADIATES INTO MY ARM AND NECK...MY BROTHER DIED AT 50 WITH A MASSIVE HEART ATTACK AND MY DAD AT 82 WITH HEART DISEASE -- WITH THAT BEING SAID I HAVE BEEN SCARED TO DEATH THAT IT HAS BEEN MY HEART AND NOT MY BREAST - HAD IT CHECKED OUT BY A HEART DOCTOR - HAD ALL TESTS DONE AND ALL CAME OUT O.K. THAT GOD...
Avatar f tn I am a 38 year old woman. I was perfectly fine until I had a breast augmentation done. After two days the left side of my face started going numb and it felt as if I had pins and needles. This is now 4 years later and my symptoms have progressed so badly to the point that it feels af if my muscles are attacking me. i have these attacks where anything from my skull, chest, tummy, back will just go into spams.
Avatar n tn I'm having two consults with PS's for breast augmentation. One was rated top doc by other docs in Col, Ohio, but has a formal action on State Medical Board regarding medical education certification. He does alot of reconstruction also and I liked him. THe other is rated highly and her surgical centre was rated No. 1. If that consult goes well how do I decide which one has a better history if I don't know any women who have had procedures with either?
Avatar f tn you must be against fake breast because you very wrong i recently have breast augmentation from a small b to a small d i love them they look and feel real the pain is minimum after 4 or 5 days i was back to my normal routine if anything the worst adjustment is no underwire or push up bras the first few months! newbie2b i would say go for it i did it to love my body and it worked it instantly boosted my confidence and happiness!
202436 tn?1326477933 I am going to mention to my ob again about the chest/rib pain - I know rib pain is common but I had breast augmentation done 2 years ago - with the incision under the breast - so I am thinking the scar tissue is pulling and tugging.... which hurts like heck - not to mention I believe each boob weighs 10lbs ..... Feel better!
Avatar n tn I was actually in the process of preparing for breast augmentation surgery when this was discovered - will I still be able to have breast augmentation?
Avatar f tn 7 ovarian cyst and emergency removal 10 years ago and a small one orthoscopic ally last year - Breast augmentation (saline) 8 years ago - Have a 4 year old and currently on the mirena IUD - If I exhale as far as I can I get that hoarse wheezing end of the exhale (dunno if that’s typical) or if I have my back pushed on while laying down same thing happens - Abdominal bloating (mainly at the end of the day) to the point sometimes it looks like I am 8 months pregnant. Worse recently.
640534 tn?1326782911 The RE said next step is IUI with injectables. I'm just praying for God's direction. I had a breast reduction earlier this year and just want to give it some time before starting back up again. IF IUI w. inj doesnt work I think I will just save up for IVF.
Avatar n tn Before going on thyroid replacement had a Nuclear Med study last Tuesday read as normal. We opted to treat with thyroid augmentation, watching things closely to see if the gland can recover, hopefully getting off the medication. I am a registered nurse who can grasp the picture easier than those without my background. So bottom line is this: post combo tx with signs/symptoms of hypothyroidism in the face of a normal nuclear study.
Avatar f tn HI there, sorry you're dealing with such a difficult issue. Did the step daughter get a breast augmentation? if so, at what age? If so, what was her cup size before she had surgery and what is it now? Did your husband ask you specifically to :get a breast augmentation to the same size as his daughters"? Number one, if it were me, knowing that the step daughter disrespects you so much in your own home, i would refuse to attend gatherings at the step daughters home, that's for sure.

Avatar n tn ) i posted a couple times in the breast forum so ive been flip flopping here to there. i gave the wrong website BTW ^^^^^^^. its posted in the other forum. i hope when you "learn" more about this you will let us know (layman terms of course!) im happy you have some answers.
Avatar n tn I honestly would say by the 4month it just lifted just like that I woke up one morning and that feeling was just gone! So I don't know if the breast feeding as anything to do with it or not...I only breast feed for 6 weeks because we found out my daughter was lactose intolerant and now she has a milk allergy but I hope this helped a little bit. I am really worried with this pregnancy that I may get it again. I will definatly call my doctor this time around.
Avatar n tn Are you putting this on the same level as a nose job, breast augmentation or lip plumping? Given the alternative, I'd readily accept my doctor's removal of my diseased organs anytime. You're right. We have choices in life. I choose to preserve my life for as long as I can. I also choose to help educate other women about ovca, not to terrorize and intimidate them. There's a difference, don't you think?
Avatar n tn Just 2 weeks ago I had breast augmentation, again with dissolving sutures. Wouldn't you know, my entire chest and armpits are covered in hives. I am on fire with itchiness! Not only that but my hands are breaking out; I even have hives on my palms. They are starting to spread to other areas of my body as well. Good thing "it's not possible" to be allergic to the sutures, according to my knee surgeon! I'm pretty darn convinced he's wrong!
Avatar f tn But the pain I had from hystertomy, gallbladder, 2 foot surgeries, impacted wisdom teeth, lumpedectomies, breast augmentation and explantation, uterus repair (2x) (just to name a few), all of these surgeries do not require prolonged narcotic pain meds. And I never saw anything on any of my pain meds that said "this medicine should never be stopped abruptly"- in fact I just now looked at one of my patient inserts and it says nothing about this.
Avatar f tn let us not forget her breast augmentation, cheek implants....lip injections....that she has been getting....i guess it is important for her to be a hot mom to her kids. i mean, that's important. oh there were also pics of her getting her nails done as well.........and hitting up the least expensive place in the worls to get coffee.....starbucks. but i mean...........
1322872 tn?1275105462 By the time my surgery went down my husband and I had taken all of my pain pills and I had to deal with augmentation (under the muscle) with nothing more than advil... It was pure painful hell to say the least. That was in October 2008' and things have spiraled out of control... I had a child in June 06' adding to my already 4 1/2 year old boy at the time and let's just say he was the hardest child ever to raise, still is but I love him.
Avatar n tn I am having cosmetic surgery (I am know to this board hense really do not want to give my name, kind of embarrassing (sp)) anyway I'm having a breast augmentation. I am now on Lortab twice a day and oxycontin 20m nightly. I have been told that the surgery is quite painful the first couple of days. My problem is what kind of pain meds I should ask for. I will make sure I tell the doctor who gives me pain pills cause I don't want a fuss at the pharmacy.
3060903 tn?1398568723 Ah , how true and how touching is this description of the emotions which are often excited in the Christian pilgim's breast , as he stands on the banks of the river ! He fears to cross its deep , dark water ; he shrinks from the strange , and it may be , the stormy passage to eternity . Oh , if he could but reach the celestial city without having to cross the stream of death ! It cannot be .
Avatar n tn PS: The friend I am referring to.......was doing oxy's and H while pregnant and the baby was born with horrible horrible stomach problems. His intestines were on the outside of his body. He lived in NICU for like 2 months with IV's outta his poor little head. BY the time he was 3 months old, he had about 11 surgeries. The baby was taken from her when the baby was 5 months old.
Avatar n tn Hey everyone! Check out this information about lipodissolve. I don’t really know what to make of it all but the procedure seems to be raising lots of unanswered questions: “http://www.medicalnewstoday.com/medicalnews.php?newsid=70876” “http://online.wsj.com/article/SB118160554567831887-search.html?KEYWORDS=rundle” Oh and this website I found also seems to be pretty informative: www.lipotreatmentfacts.org. Anyone have any thoughts regarding all this?
