I have a 5 year old daughter who has recently been "kicked out" of pre-school for aggression. My husband & I have taken her to therapy and we are now trying medication (Concerta 36mg). Nothing seems to be working and the aggression is worsening. I love my baby girl and it is breaking my heart to see her so unhappy all the time. We are doing everything that is recommended in therapy (behavior charts, ect) and still no progress.

that is sweet spot but a small ammount of alprazolam will overpower MPH and if it does you will need literally half bottle of Concerta, this is my experience and I say for mayority of other reports that i red in last 2 years so you are safe but take 1mg xanax more and no cleaning...

get the concerta put it in a lock box that only your sister can get into ...if he wont give her her meds she need to tell her doctor what is going on she needs her meds and he needs help.

My prescription ran out and I used a concerta my concern is if I have a urine test or hair follicle test will the methylphenidate in the concerta show up? Concerta is not my prescribed medicine.

My plan is to switch to a med I can take and slowly cut the pills in half and taper off. You can’t cut the concerta since it’s extends release. Please anyone give me an idea on what I should do to get off this.

Did he have these night time problems before the addition of Prozac? I am guessing he did not for the reason given below. Get him off the Prozac (but do so slowly). I have my doctor write my proscriptions for Adderall 30mg instead of 15mg and cut them in half because it saves me big bucks. I just had to explain to him that I was planning to cut them in half to save money. So now he writes for half the quantity but twice the dose. Pharmacists aren't allowed to substitute when it comes to dosage. So, you have to ask the doctor. By doing these 2 things, I now pay about $25 a month instead of $100.

wondering if anyone has tried concerta for their adhd? i was on a few meds a few years ago but stopped taking them because nothing seemed to work. i am about to try going back on concerta 36mg and see if it will help. i also have depression and am starting a new med called celexa. any info will help. thanks!! not sure what i should be looking for in healthy changes.

Concerta does not cause the enlarged heart, but definitely increases the heart rate and causes other chest pains, so cardiovascular monitoring is a MUST with all the ADHD-drug taking children. My son has a 5-6 mm hole in his heart and we get Eco every year, just because he is taking Concerta. So far, we were lucky and did not have to suspend taking it. If they say it - keep him off of it. I am sorry to say that.

i'm on several medications: concerta 52 mg, topamax, and effexor. i am so tired still during the day. i'm also cold. i thought concerta would keep me focussed during the day; not still have me feeling lazy. what is wrong with me.

My child was diagnoised by some doctor to have a.d.h.d. His mother started him on folcalin then concerta he has more problems now at school and cant even read he's in 2nd grade. I have seen to many horror stories on it. Including my own family memebers. My son is ADD and is on Concerta... Concerta is great... It is as close as you can get to ritalin and it not have the bad effects like ritalin. Maybe you should try it. It is expensive though. the 27mg dose is like 100 CDN a month. But works well.

Can we try cutting my son's 54mg concerta tablet in half. He is experiencing kind of a zoned out feeling, even though he is able to concentrate, he feels strange on it. Can we try cutting it in half?

Accidentally binging this week when the concerta wears off has gotten me half way back up to old weight.

My son is 8 on concerta and he also wets his pants I am begining to wonder I have read the literature and can't find any connection. But I do wonder.
