I wanted to know if these symptoms were brain abscess symptoms. I am a bit of a hypacondriact and I always think the worst is happening when it's usually very normal issues. IE if i have slight chest pain, I will think I have heart issues. That sort of thing. I think maybe my anxiety is getting the better of me.
Any help would be appreciated.
It is quite possible that what your girlfriend has are micro abscesses. Usually brain abscess respond to antibiotic treatment.
This abscess can be a result of ear infection, dental abscess, paranasal sinus infection to name a few.
It is very difficult to pin point the exact cause without the MRI findings and a clinical examination. Hope this helps!

So I have severe hypochondria (health anxiety) and I am so so scared of getting a brain infection/brain abscess. I have heard one of the ways of this happening is by an infection in the ear. Now about a month ago I had Otitis Externa (outer ear infection) which was really painful and took about 2 weeks to completely clear up. I have really itchy ears at the moment because I have eczema inside so I am hoping thats all it is.
Over the past couple days I developed an extremely painful abscess. In an attempt to clean my mouth using coconut oil the abscess burst. I believe I didn't swallow any of the liquid leaking out and throughly rinsed my mouth with salt water and then some hydrogen peroxide. I will be receiving insurance in about 2 weeks from my new job so I am hoping I can hold off going to the dentist till then.
The appearance of these tumors on MRI are distinct and can be differentiated from MS. Infections can also cause lesions in the brain such as cryptococcus, brain abscess, and tuberculosis.
I suggest you discuss with your neurologist regarding the MRI findings to know if the characteristics of the lesions would point out to MS or any other conditions that I mentioned above.

Went to ER yesterday and they said all reports (blood and urine) are normal and the lymph node pain may be due to abscess. They did not say what is causing my fevers and its associated symptoms. Malaria preliminary reports from ER are negative.

So here I am about 10 years later and my abscess seems to have gone away, it doesn’t bother me at all and there are no signs or symptoms of an abscess where mine used to be. A lot of you may think that is very dumb or negligent of me but I have a CRIPPLING fear of dentists. Anyways I was wondering what everyone’s thoughts were considering everywhere I look it says that an abscess cannot go away on its own?
Another possibility is swelling due to sinusitis. It can also be an abscess or a cyst filled with fluid. Cystic acne can also cause a swelling over the eyebrow.

t know half my family history d/t adoption, mother died at 45 from complications of severe SLE and RA.
they seem to cannot tell me what is wrong with me and now im back to square one doing another ecg and echocardiogram and im suppose to visit a nuerologist specialist soon. does anyone have these symptoms or know what may cause this?
5 years ago, I had to receive two brain operations, the first being a brain abscess which resulted from a previous mastoid surgery. the second brain surgery was my lower brain had sunken down into my ear area and from that received bacterial meningitis. I was told that I have scarring on the brain, and was wondering would could potentially arise health wise in years to come as I was never fully informed on anything due to young age at the time and routine scans stopped over 2 years ago.

What about a gum abscess that is being treated with antibiotics? My boyfriend has a gum abscess and he has been prescribed penicillin and topical antibiotics.
