Avatar n tn My blood sugar went up to 441 last week and it took 3 to 4 days to get it down to 129. Scared me to death. Have been diagnosed about 7 years. Meter and strips were o.k. Was under some stress due to hurricane. What should I do when blood sugar goes up that high? Should I go to emergency room? Someone told me Soy Sauce would bring it down. I'm lost......help!

Avatar n tn They specifically eliminate blood sugar spikes, and keep the blood sugar in a normal range. Blood sugar spiking is another theory as to why many type 1 diabetics gain weight, and these low GI foods reduce it. Just a side note however, when I was on the diet, my blood sugar constantly went low and i had to compensate by eating multiple snacks throughout the day, something that probably offset my pound-shedding.
Avatar n tn I have already had an H Pylori blood test to rule out an ulcer, an ultrasound and an MRI which were unremarkable. I am getting very tired of this!
Avatar n tn On one occasion I asked Dr. DeAdamo (Eat right for your blood type) and was told to take bioflavonoids for it. I am beginning to take the supplement now, since the vessel popping has become too annoying to ignore.
Avatar n tn My LMP was around November 10, 2005. Ever since then I've been having headaches, backaches, stomach cramps, nausea & vomiting, sweats, nipple discharge, and CM. I went to the doctor and my nipple discharge was in fact milk. I've taken several HPT and they all have come back negative. I have had 2 blood tests which both beta hCG came back as <2 mIU/mL. My prolactin level went from 5.9 to 8.7 ng/mL in a week. I have heard that some womens hCG cant be detected for a couple months.
Avatar n tn For the past several years I have noticed that after eating food (which ranges from just a cup of milk to a full meal) that my heart rate and blood pressure increases significantly about 30 minutes after eating, and it lasts for about one and 1/2 hours to two hours. This occurs about 50% of the time after eating. My heart rate goes from ~75 bpm up to 140 bmp (max todate), and the blood pressure goes from 130/80 up to 180/102 (max to date).
Avatar m tn I get this from time to time and have anxiety. I've even had a nuclear stress test . . . results normal. I also get the pains in my left and right chest and lower abdomen, but it always goes away. Eat light until it passes.
Avatar n tn i had sexual intercourse about 7 or 8 times before seeing a doctor. the same occurred except for 2 times, in which no blood appeared. but the majority of times blood came out in the sperm, or only after ejaculation during urination, or both in the sperm and the urine. once i woke up without having had sex that week and urinated blood. i tested my blood, sperm, and urine and the only abnormality was a high psa level. my dr said it is very rare and is that high in 40/50 year old.
Avatar n tn Simple question here, has anyone ever had a negative blood test and negative urine test and went on with their daily routine and a month or so later found out you were in fact pregnant while having ultrasound done. If this has happened to anyone or perhaps someone you know, please respond, I'd appreciate the information. Thanks.
Avatar f tn NO soy on the LID. I did not have to go hypo as I took Thyrogen. There is a good recipe for salad dressing on the LID diet which is at thyca.org.
Avatar n tn this is our third child, the first to have green stools and yesterday, i found a trace amount o of blood...just 2 dots. this has just come on within the last week, before that her stools were the mustard yellow seedy type. she, too is gaining weight and seems happy...let me know if you hear anything else. 627818 tn?1271780626 Evidently, some foods contain components that irritate the digestive tract, allowing these components to slip into the blood stream. The immune system thinks they are invaders and goes ballistic, hence the autoimmune response. Arachidonic Acid is a fat associated with inflammation in the body. Lots of Omega-3 fatty acids can reduce the pain and inflammation. I was given a list of foods with the mg of this acid in various meats. Poultry and soy have virtually none, while egg yolks have a lot.

1026267 tn?1257594873 I don't know if almond or rice milk have the iodine in them or not, but there is one other thing that might be of help here. I found out that people with type "O" blood should not use coconut or palm anything, even the healthy extra virgin kind. I also found out that dairy isn't really good for type "O" people either.
413852 tn?1317312312 Had a partner in the past, lost partner, have tried three different donors, and my donor choices are limited because of blood type and CMV-negative. About 4 years ago I was told I needed a CMV-negative donor. I hadn't ever heard of CMV. Have been taking folic acid since forever. I had been going to a friendly clinic out of town for the past 4 years, but the long travel times were stressful, not to mention bad for keeping my job!
469720 tn?1388149949 In addition, the nicotine in cigarette smoke makes your heart work harder by constricting blood vessels and increasing your heart rate and blood pressure. Carbon monoxide in cigarette smoke replaces some of the oxygen in your blood. This increases your blood pressure by forcing your heart to work harder to supply enough oxygen. Even so-called "social smoking" — only smoking while at a bar or restaurant with friends — is dangerous and increases the risk of heart disease.
Avatar n tn Northrups website that she prefers blood now I had my doc do blood but I had already bought the salvia so I may as well do that. It confirms why I am feeling so lousy - I had the same thoughts about self adjusting. In fact - since I still have the prescription for estradiol in pill format I thought about adding 1/4 of a pill in the am and continue on the cream (if I add more cream then I will run out before it can be refilled!). Boy this is tough.
Avatar n tn She is currently receiving chemotherapy with TAXOL(260)followed by CISPLATIN(100mg). Could you kindly let us know the chances of responses(loger survival) of the clear cells to the chemotherapy as I have heard clear cell becomes chemo resistant from stageIII. What should be the post chemotherapy treatments we should emphasize on.
Avatar f tn I just did a blood test today for Gene Testing to r/o Celiac Disease should be getting the results in about a week. This is the only test that can be done without being on the Gluten Free diet.
529981 tn?1212853666 Hair will not stop falling out. I have gotten blood tests at a dermatology office and everything was normal. I also have tried about very type of zinc pyrithione shampoo, at the highest concentrations. Also I have tried, salycylic shampoos, tar shampoos, jojoba oil, AND nothing seems to help. Please help me and my hair. I am a busy college student, who unfortunately does not have the time and money to deal with this.
Avatar f tn An O-3 fat cell is a fatty acid that burns off glucose if they attach to it. This is where I don't see the connection between trans/sat fat and O-3 fatty acid. With type 2's the excess glucose binds to red cells and circulate thru the body for approx 3 months until that cell dies off. O-3 cells get used up rather quickly and helps the body lower glucose levels.
Avatar f tn I haven't even started any testing yet - the only thing that I've done is taken a blood test and was given the results - now I'm trying to get into a Hepatologist to start the Liver testing - maybe the decline in coffee is just from my liver being sick.
277174 tn?1189851979 I was perfectly healthy until I lost it in 1993. It took a long time to find the problem b/c my blood work was always normal..finally the hida scan said my gallbladder was working zero % so they took it out, but I'm still vomiting and still nauseated 24/7..my life is pretty much nonexistent at this point..i can't drive, barely eat, can't clean my own home or cook..all I do is sit in the chair with something nearby in case I get sick.. I need to find out why and to stop this..now the dr.
Avatar f tn I agree with these useful posts. They are such great additional information about supporting the immune system. And, while I agree that what tana_h says is true, I would certainly do everything possible to support the immune system first as all of us have given you some information on ways to do this. Definitely try these simple natural steps first. You can meld all this information with eating for your right blood type.
Avatar n tn Before that I was the blood type diet (type A) so I did not eat meat for the most part on that scenario and I was actually never hungry. Type A does not get to eat meat on that plan but I didn't miss it much surprisingly. So for me, before I ever started the HCG, I made some major lifestyle changes by deciding to go on the blood type diet. so when I did go on HCG I was already a bit prepared I supposes. There were days when I would gain a pound but then lose 2 pounds.
Avatar n tn Ran every test in the book , plus bone ages every 6 months. All blood work including tumor markers normal, bone ages slightly advanced but nothign impressive. ie last bone age he was exactly 7 and 1 month and came back bone age of 7.6. Pedi endo suggested mri to rule out pituitary adenoma. Though would be unexpected since nothing in blood work over course of 1 1/2 years. Also had normal ultrasound of adrenal glands. MRI came back not a pituitary adenoma. The tumor is 1.4 X.6 X.6 cm.
1809109 tn?1331807377 Good news about this recipe that will put most on this forum at ease, too, is that she didn't use sorghum. If you have blood type "O" you wouldn't want sorghum anyway. Especially not when already dealing with Celiac or gluten intolerance. For those with casein issues, use a milk substitute that you're able to tolerate, like rice milk. I mentioned the rice because nut allergies were already mentioned on this thread.
