Avatar n tn On one occasion I asked Dr. DeAdamo (Eat right for your blood type) and was told to take bioflavonoids for it. I am beginning to take the supplement now, since the vessel popping has become too annoying to ignore.
483733 tn?1326802046 There is a theory that blood types have a lot to do with the types of food people should eat. I am a type o, which according to Peter D Adamo writer of the Blood Type Diet, means I do better with meat, and do not tolerate gluten so well. I found this to be true for me...it might help to check this book out. I do think that there were some good points made in the Lupus diet. Sugar for instance should not be eaten in excess, or processed foods, and cleansing is very important.
2012515 tn?1353879125 Unfortunately gluten is in so many things you would never think about until you start trying to avoid it. Gluten is the part of grain that makes batter and dough "stick together", makes oatmeal "glutenous". There is more gluten in refined "Wonder Bread" type products, but it is ADDED on purpose to whole grain bread products to make the dough behave correctly.
Avatar n tn Also, there is a grain called 'quinoa' (keenwaa_, which is very high in protein,. it is a very tiny grain and can be made into salads, put in other stuff.. I'd be cautious about most of the supplemental proteins out there, as they seem to have other additives..?? I'd be glad to receive any info you might have to enlighten me on the nutrition thing.. can never learn TOO much!!! have a Fab day !
Avatar n tn I'm 25 y/o and I developed the same problem about 10 years ago. In my case, it's a hereditary problem. I am not quite sure of the cause, but I avoid starchy foods, because they make the problem worse. I have had terrible luck with doctors, but here is my advice: 1. Go to a gastro-enterologist. I know that this is an embarassing problem, but a specialist may be able to help you.
Avatar f tn If you find it is faster by 6 beats, you are allergic or have a sensitivity to it. If you have typeOblood, use 4 beats as the criteria instead of 6. It’s that simple. Please do not overlook the thyroid information. Next time I will explain how low thyroid function can lead to the development of Autoimmune Disease. I don't know if homeopathic medicine would be enough to make a dent in your situation , if candida and/or low thyroid are present. I'm very familiar with homeopathic medicine.
Avatar n tn I use a blood sugar meter and I try to keep my blood sugar under 120 mg/dL. Most of the time my blood sugar is 74-110 mg/dL. I don't eat fruit - fruit makes my blood sugar spike too high (I use camu camu and amla supplements, which have no sugar). I weigh all of my food. I weigh most of my water.
Avatar n tn First I was wrongfully diagnosed with Epiglottitis but showed no infection on blood tests. My musus is clear and I choke all the time. My throat is a little swollen, but the doctors dont seem to think it is, obviously I feel it. They think it may be allergies but I am getting no relief. If you have any success please let me know. My throat is a little swollen as well. The choking thing gets scary though, I drink Boost all the time, lol. I just want relief!
755322 tn?1330272714 Over the years I have always wondered why that band was ++ Why would I have spirochete tails or pieces in my blood? To end this long story, in 2008, I was diagnosed with Breast Cancer. When I had the biopsy, my right arm went numb starting with the little finger working inward to the thumb and then up the arm. The biopsy on the other side did the same thing, so I had two numb arms. Back to Neuro and other tests, meanwhile my feet slowly went numb up to my navel. Talk about scared.
902019 tn?1249865014 Re: Symtoms of AIP Before my final weeik when I was in unmistakable pain and had jaudice etc, I had very little sign of a problem. Only in retrospect did I realize that I had had a continuing and unusual thirst and some lack of whiteness in my eyes for about 9 mos. I had passed those things off as "just getting older". Big mistake.
Avatar n tn As you may read on some threads here - mine started with a severe allergic reaction to Blood Pressure meds...now, foods and household cleaners...it's almost mind-boggling to me! I hope you start to feel better. Everyone reacts differently when allergic to foods etc...I get an all over body itch! ((I think I'd prefer a headache!
393685 tn?1425816122 I am on board :-) some here know my story. I eat Gluten free and I am Blood Type "A". Perhaps that has a bit to do with why gluten affects some blood types differently than others, Gluten, Sugar and all food really. I "Eat Right for my Blood Type". Nearly all of what I have done to heal myself has been a result of diet change. It is my opinion that that is certainly a place to start. Anyone can look at my profile and see how I have done.
Avatar m tn You need to find out what foods you have trouble digesting, you can also get an allergy test or look up your blood type, certain blood types are known to have trouble digesting certain types of food. But i must reitterate, whatever you do, stop the acid blockers as they do not cure the real underlying problem, they just reduce the short term symptoms and make the long term health problems worse.
Avatar n tn He said there was nothing to worry about and told me that there was nothing to be done about it. I now have a new doctor, and have at a blood sugar count of 8.6 I was diagnosed with type II Diabetes. This is only the tip of the iceburg on how health providers in this country have neglected my health. I have yet to see a so-called "specialist" that actually is helpful in any way! Of course, you are not allowed to contact any sort of specialist doctors in the UK.
Avatar n tn What started me on this journey was Raw For 30 Days..a doctor takes his Diabetic patients both type 1 and type 2 and REVERSES their disease. Some had genetic factors that you speak of...some did not. That is Dr. Gabriel Cousins M.D..also checked in to Dr. Max ****** who has healed people of cancer. We don't hear about these people because no one is making money off of them..we change our food and some lifestyle changes and the body miraculously begins to heal itself.
Avatar n tn I made an appt for this week to get blood work done to figure out if it is a thyroid or some type of hormonal problem. It was commforting to hear Im not the only one with this type of problem! Thanks for all the info!
1216899 tn?1288573925 At one point I could barely type, as I would think of one letter, and my fingers would type another one completely opposite. It's good to know that I'm not losing my mind after all, hehe.
Avatar n tn At this point, I am reasonably sure that a nerve is spasming for some reason and the possible causes of the spasms are brain farts (epileptic like events or migrain like events) of some sort, a bone spur, muscle tension, a blood clot that acts like a bone spur by impinging the nerve somehow. I notice that there are micro muscle movements when I am at rest that could trigger the nerve. If I think of skiing, for example, I may trigger a micromuscle movement and thus the nerve pain.
Avatar n tn This also happened to me, and a physical\blood work resulted in my having Hep C, now doing treatment for that health issue, hope your able to get some tests, and the results aren't as serious.
Avatar f tn I have had many blood test and I was wondering if you find out of you have high/low histamine through blood test. If so do you know which one? I would like to go through my blood tests and see if they tested ne for it. My thyroid has been tested more than a couple times and it came up negative, the doctors say I do not have a thyroid problem. Please let me know if there is a blood test for high/low histamine and if there is a diagnosis for it? Thank you.
Avatar n tn ADRENAL FATIGUE OR ADRENAL EXAUSTION 11. GLUCOSE/THROID INTERACTION 12. LOW WHITE BLOOD CELL COUNT 13. PRE-EXISTING BULIMIA/ANOREXIA d/o 14. PET DANDER ALLERGIES ...TO BE CONTINUED (d/o stands for disorder and can be substituted to mean diagnosis when appropriate) Any thoughts on the aforementioned topics??
Avatar n tn Same here. I was diagnosed with an autoimmune disease. ANA blood work was off...have your doctor test your ANA, this will tell whether or not your body is attacking itself/joints. I also have involuntary muscle twitches but I believe its from my adderall (i take for adhd) My father has been diagnosed with rheumatoid and osteoarthirits...im 33. Had knee surgery at 26, now other knee is going. I crack constantly. Google degenerative autoimmune diseases...
Avatar f tn I don't see much in the way of healthy whole grains in your daily diet, except for the oatmeal you mentioned. Brown rice, polenta, quinoa, barley, bulgur...they are all wonderfully healthy and full of fiber. They give you energy that isn't quickly turned into fat by your body. Plus they help fill you up. You should try to include one healthy grain serving at each meal. Lunches could be served on whole grain bread (not sure if you are doing this or not).
Avatar n tn But no we are not basket cases, we are hormonally disrupted. A hormone blood test is different from saliva. A blood test only shows hormone levels that have already been taken up by the blood whereas the saliva shows what hormone levels are bio-available. This makes a big difference, the blood test could come back normal and you really need to be saliva tested in the luteal phase, not just any time of the cycle. You can actually source the saliva tests and do them yourself.
Avatar n tn I have gained 20lbs, in the last 2 months. My doctor thinks that it is my thyroid, its Underactive. I went for blood tests on Mon, and I go see the doctor today, so I will let you know what happens.
Avatar n tn //www.food-intolerance.ca/14/food-intolerance/en/ Good luck to you all!
Avatar f tn Year after year no one in my family believed me, and my family doctor never detected the odor or did anything about it despite countless visits and blood tests that showed me to be an otherwise healthy individual. I've always been skinny, being a male at around 135 lbs and 5' 10", too. Now I don't even have health-insurance, so I cannot even consult with a gastro. Lately I think my depression has worsened and I fear I may have suffered some sort of nervous breakdown.
