Common Questions and Answers about Blood type o nutrition

Avatar f tn I am an O +, and follow closely the O Blood Type food plan. Only problem I have is so little control over the increased work load & stress as a teacher. I have plans to retire in 2 years and 30 weeks to be more in control of the stress. Until then, I will have to endure the pain -possible Fibro. [Had endometriosis, and hysterectomy.] Suffer from fatigue and the typically O-hypothyroidism [as is typical for Os.] My question- a new Dr. wants to put me on Cimbalta.
Avatar m tn To gain weight with diabetes, one needs to eat enough and to have enough insulin. T o keep blood sugars stable one needs to follow a low carb diet. In your situation I'd recommend the book by Dr. Richard Bernstein "Diabetes Solution". It will tell you how to control your blood sugar using low carb diet and exercise, and medications (as necessary).

Avatar f tn When you just can't shrink any more, hold this position with your breath all exhaled as long as you can. Now, s-l-o-w-l-y, let go, while s-l-o-w-l-y taking a deep breath. Your muscles should be thrilled to go limp, totally relaxed. Take in all the air that you can---then take in a little more---then a little more. Hold it as long as you can, then s-l-o-w-l-y let go, and let go, and push it all out. And give another push to totally exhale.
413852 tn?1317312312 for the factor V test, it is another type of clotting disorder. My girlfiend had to be on blood thinners also because of that. I am on blood thinners and extra Folic Acid because of MTHFR. Did your DH send the bug up here? DH and I have been feeling poopy all weekend, but still managed to go shrimping. ....hmmm... safety bars on the windows? Was that to keep people out or in? Did he offer you a new wardrobe at the same time - like an orange jumpsuit? Tijuana and Milky..... oooooooh....

Avatar n tn On one occasion I asked Dr. DeAdamo (Eat right for your blood type) and was told to take bioflavonoids for it. I am beginning to take the supplement now, since the vessel popping has become too annoying to ignore.
282804 tn?1236837191 Jan, as you all know, I don't have cancer but did have a blood transfusion years ago with bleeding ulcer.. Lost half my blood volume..Piece of cake.. they kept sneaking in my hospital room with another pint or quart or whathaveyou.. I hardly knew they were doing it. That new blood with just start kicking A**!!!! You'll feel much better ! And , they screen it so well now.. So well, in fact, that I can't even donate blood anymore . Avatar f tn I can't find any studies which describe that, but that was the information given to me when I participated in the TrialNet study. Not having a history of type 1 doesn't really mean anything, type 1 is being diagnosed more and more often in children that have no history in their families. It's unfortunate, but true. My suggestion would be to continue to keep in contact with your endo and family doctor, followups will be necessary to verify glucose scores and the status of the pre-diabetes.
446896 tn?1237806342 I know I am not the only one who absolutely freaks out when having my blood pressure taken. Every time I go to the Dr's office, they always comment on how high my pulse and blood pressure are (last week when I went it was 127/92 and pulse of 133!) Ha...and those numbers arent even unusual for me! I know the pulse is high, but I don't worry about it as much just because I take it frequently at home now, and know that it is usually in the 80's when I'm at home. But the blood pressure...ugh!
1423357 tn?1511089042 I've been taking Simvastatin for 5 years, and coincidentally during that time period my blood glucose levels have been steadily increasing from 100 to 162. My GP has told me that I have pushed thru the ceiling of an index that's used for determining risk. He has given me 90 days to pull it back, or I'm going on Metformin. I am what I would consider to be, a healthy, active, non-smoking 60 y/o male.
Avatar f tn At the time of my original NS appt in 2012, I weighed almost 350lbs as a 21 y/o female. In order to have decompression surgery, I had to lose 100lbs as it was too unsafe. It was incredibly difficult (I practically gain weight by looking at something) but through a medical supervised starvation shake diet (500-750 calories per day and only the shakes for several months), I lost the weight over a period of a year and a half.
351317 tn?1204755471 Hi, I came across this thread researching Serotonin levels and how to measure them and how to raise them. I have very low levels as per a blood test. The serum blood test is, I believe, as mentioned, measured indirectly. The doctors and psychiatrists I've spoken with don't seem to have any answers to any of my questions, but it doesn't surprise me. They usually aren't the best at pharmacological issues.
Avatar f tn I have o negative blood type and most of the symptoms of hyperthyroidism .i am trying to put on some weight but it has been very difficult to do I have to follow any nutrition plan?
Avatar m tn Initially, Pyridoxine HCL may appear synthetic, but it's actually Vitamin B6 which, when extracted and place into the type of sport nutrition, becomes a powerful and concentrated dose with the vitamin. Vitamin B6 supports the defense mechanisms sufficient reason for taking Oxygen from red blood cells to tissues and muscle with the body. This can lead to better body building.

Avatar m tn Basically a diary of what you ate—food, medicines etc, exercises you did—duration type of exercise etc. Consult the psychologist and nutrition expert with a diary of week-10 days. If you are not able to maintain an honest diary (actually it is very difficult to be honest about it), then you can ask a close friend to do this for you. Take care!
600748 tn?1219720377 Metformin is used with proper diet and exercise to control high blood sugar in people diagnosed with type 2 diabetes. Like all medication it may not always work with every individual. Did you consult with your doctor; • That you were losing weight? • Had two episodes of low glucose? • Stopping Metformin? • Resuming Metformin? • Pros/cons of Metformin with you? • Severe Heartburn? Stopping and resuming medication on your own w/o consulting your doctor is not wise. Complications may arise.

774736 tn?1311334985 It certainly can! Even if you don't have a true allergy and don't have definite Celiac--yes, you can get brain fog from gluten. Particularly if you have gluten intolerance. If you have other issues, such as IBS or if you get migraines or if you have blood type O, you should definitely stay away from gluten. Yep, your blood type matters. I got this information from "Eat Right for Your Blood Type" written by Dr. Peter J. D'Adamo. Glutenology.
469720 tn?1388149949 In addition, the nicotine in cigarette smoke makes your heart work harder by constricting blood vessels and increasing your heart rate and blood pressure. Carbon monoxide in cigarette smoke replaces some of the oxygen in your blood. This increases your blood pressure by forcing your heart to work harder to supply enough oxygen. Even so-called "social smoking" — only smoking while at a bar or restaurant with friends — is dangerous and increases the risk of heart disease.
Avatar f tn What should you do? I know after the OP you feel so-o-o much better but do not over stress your body. It takes a long time for the insides to heal. Now is the time to carefully monitor your nutrition. Not everyone is the same. What a dozen other TP'ers can eat may not apply to you. Same as what diabetes forum members or web sites claim as being safe to eat may not be good for you. Start a food log, a dairy of everything you eat and drink including portion size.
1571146 tn?1399913292 Well on Wednesday I got a full blown positive and started feeling O pains. By thursday my OPK was back to negative (which always indicates ovulation is imminent) and those pains had increased so bad, I mean BAD!! I knew I was about to ovulate any moment and probably more than one egg! Unfortunately I was in the middle of finishing up floral arrangements for my aunts funeral (the following day) so I needed to be able to function!
974371 tn?1424656729 I have tried to research this some but still don't understand it much, ESP the lab values and at what point are they considered high?? I also read that people with Type O blood, which I have, can have higher Alk Phos. I have suffered from chronic dry mouth and throat (2 biopsies Neg for Sjorgens), had major GI problems last year ( long story you can read in my other posts), night sweats or waking up clammy and nausea which I now somewhat control with acupuncture and ginger and honey.
529981 tn?1212853666 Hair will not stop falling out. I have gotten blood tests at a dermatology office and everything was normal. I also have tried about very type of zinc pyrithione shampoo, at the highest concentrations. Also I have tried, salycylic shampoos, tar shampoos, jojoba oil, AND nothing seems to help. Please help me and my hair. I am a busy college student, who unfortunately does not have the time and money to deal with this.
Avatar n tn Is drinking too much of water everyday can cause low blood pressure and drinking to little of water everyday can cause high blood pressure? Is drink tea able to 'wash' out the fat and cholesterol inside our body just after we consume fatty or high cholesterol food? Any recommended nutrition to have a better health(I means a perfect one)?
