1230912 tn?1273496370 Many A blooded folks are actually AO blooded and some B blooded folks are BO blooded as well. That is precisely why the blood type diet work great with some folks but not so great with others. You gave your son an A- ABO copy and your husband gave your son a O+ ABO copy so yes he did test positive for the A blood group he actually is A-/O+. I hope that helps? Sorry for your loss also.
Avatar f tn my anti-dna ds ab qn results were value 29 with >9 being positive. I have an appointment with a rheumatologist in June 2010. My dr. says that he does not think this is lupus but a possible start to something else. I would like to know if this is possible lupus and what i can do in the meantime to help my body? Symptoms = "floating" joint pain/tenderness, periodic unexplained low grade fevers and some "tired" feelings. I always attributed this to the aging process.
Avatar m tn The celiac blood tests came back positive, my doctor was shocked and says it must have just been a false positive as there is no way I have celiac and says I have nothing to worry about. I was wondering what you guys thought, here are my results: Total IgA 2.38 (0.69-3.82) Deamidated Gliadin IgG 11.5 (<10) Deamidated Gliadin IgA 5.5 (<10) Transglutaminase IgA AB 16.
1833144 tn?1319267657 DOES ANYONE KNOW WHAT AUTOIMMUNE DISEASE CAUSES A MODERATE POSITIVE SM-RNP AB AND A POSITIVE ANA 1:80 SPECKLED? I KNOW THAT THE ANA IS ON THE LOW SIDE BUT IT HAS BEEN NEGATIVE AND NOW ITS FINALLY POSITIVE AFTER 12 YEARS OF BEING TOLD YOU HAVE A AUTOIMMUNE DISEASE BUT ANTIBODY TESTS HAVE ALL BEEN NORMAL FOR THE PAST 6 YEARS. 1028452 tn?1537452084 I thought that was more of an unusual blood type! How interesting. I think the rest of my family is O positive. I like peace and harmony (probably WAY too sensitive, lol) but am stubborn and have a hard time relaxing. Yep, that's me! Guess the stubborn part comes from the Taurus part in me?
Avatar f tn But there is no real scientific evidence to support a link between your health as a consequence of compatibility between your blood type and your diet. It's all conjecture... I'll toot my own horn and say that I'm pretty well versed in genetics and anthropology (both medical and human-evolutionary), and to be honest most of the scientific claims made on the website aren't really plausible... at all. They're quite outlandish, actually.
Avatar n tn I had to have a physical from my own doctor who had to sign some paper work from GHI and I had to have a blood test as specified from GHI Medical. I followed the 500 calorie diet religiously. I had plenty of energy to exercise which I did 5 - 6 aerobic work outs and 3 weight training work outs. I am a personal trainer and I was having an extremely frustrating time loosing weight after the birth of my 3rd child. Yes, I washed my hair and conditioned it.
Avatar n tn I just received my lab work and my Thyroid Peroxidase (TPO) Ab <10 and Antithyroglobulin Ab Siemend (DPC) ICMA Methodology <20.
Avatar f tn But, if anyone has positive experiences with ID's, I would sure appreciate hearing about it. Anyone have experience with Immunologist? CFDS and Faitigue centers/specialists? (I do have CFS now). Anyother? I would so appreicate feedback on this. My Internal Medicine doctor wants me to see a ID, but yahoo forum on EBV shows most people got no help other than "yep, you have EBV...wanna try an antiviral? " Then they had worse sympstons than before. Thanks so much.
Avatar m tn It evidently is a type specific herpes igg blood test which is the appropriate test to have done. Also I assume it's a typo and your gf had a hsv1 igg and hsv2 igg blood test done, not a hsv1 igg and hsv2 igm? At this point I recommend going elsewhere for a type specific herpes igg blood test. I can not accurately comment on the testing you had done so far.
Avatar f tn I think that is blood spot testing and I am not at all sure your doctor would accept the results as accurate. I suggest that you talk to your PCP and tell her about your recent episode with the PVC's and that you have other symptoms of being hypothyroid and that she can do the testing and treatment needed for hypothyroidism and that you need to be tested beyond TSH.
443434 tn?1255894833 160. So they ran more blood work to try pin point what it could be. Yesterday doctor told me everything came back negative and now my ANA is now 1:140. So I ask him what does that mean. Tell me something. So he basically told me I have a undefined autoimmune Disease. That makes me so uneasy. So he put me on this medication ( this is the rheum doc) to help with the joint pains. I am also having major chest pains which he had me get xray for to see if I am having lung problems or heart problems.
Avatar f tn I found out he cheated so 2 weeks later I got tested for all STIs and was positive for chlaymida and BV and I also had a yeast infection that kept coming back due to my poor diet. Ive had BV atleast 5 times before but im unsure why it kept coming back. Me and my boyfriend were treated for chlaymida but I've taken the pill 4 times because I felt so discussed. I was also taking pills for the BV and yeast infection.

443434 tn?1255894833 I will try to make this short and I appreciate your thoughts. My problem started last year, April 12th, 2008 to be exact. I woke up with swollen hands and feet, ankles, wrists...which got really bad over the next few weeks. The only thing that happened prior to this was I had some Thai food, hour after I ate it, my ears blocked out for the entire evening until the morning. Then my lips were swollen a little for about 3 weeks, that went away and then the other swelling happened. Went to the ER.
Avatar f tn I called my ob/gyn and she ran the blood work for me My Gliadin Peptide Ab, IgG was equivocal at 8.6 (recommended less than 7) and a positive Anti DNA, Native Dble Strand at 10 (normal is less than 5) She recommended I see a GP as these results were really out of her range of expertise. Needless to say I am finding a new GP does anyone know what these numbers mean. I would have ask on the doctor's forum as well but really don't know what specialty to ask.

1047234 tn?1253547296 I am not really sure what type blood I have. I thought it was O positive though??? But I could be totally wrong. I've never been told since I was an adult. Does anyone know how you find out?
Avatar f tn Since Hashimoto's is the most commonly diagnosed cause for hypothyroidism, you should also test for the thyroid antibodies. Those tests are TPO ab and TG ab. When test results are available, please post results and their reference ranges shown on the lab report and members will be glad to help interpret and advise further.
Avatar m tn The cause of low blood glucose should be found out. Commonest cause is poor diet. Also there are several self testing kits in the market to test your blood glucose. Monitor the blood glucose before and after a meal. Keep a record and discuss with your doctor. Hope this helps. Please let me know if there is any thing else and do keep me posted. Take care!
Avatar m tn depending on what kind of culture you had done, not too unusual to be negative which is why we recommend follow up testing at the appropriate times with type specific herpes igg blood tests. this may all be due to yeast but certainly worth covering your bases properly.
Avatar n tn I recently was rejected to be in a medical study after blood test results came back out of the perameters of the test.I was informed I should see a doctor because my blood test results showed elevated levels of ALT(146),AST(56),LDH(199)and elevated lymphocytes(3.7).I tested negative for Hep B S Ag, Hep C Ab. I'm not a doctor and don't know what this means. I'll see a doctor soon to find out what this means, but if anyone could send me some information about this I would really appreciate it.
Avatar n tn I took home pregnancy it showed positive,at clinic negative,I came home back and did home pregnancy test it was positive and started spotting after a week , I even I went for blood test was positive and HCG was only 16 and even started to bleed heavily now and finally same story miscarriage .Lately I came to know this was happened due to abnormal thyroid that is because of T3 and T4 levels.
Avatar n tn He said that they get negative results in blood and urine until about the 4th month before it starts to show positive. That kinda gave me some hope there. So, I guess as long as we don't see no blood whatsoever, that's a positive sign in itself that pregnancy is a possibility!! Let's keep the faith yall!
Avatar f tn An electrolytes imbalance such as magnesium, potassium or calcium can cause high blood pressure. Sodium has been recently found to not affect blood pressure. In some people, vitamin B12 deficiency can cause high blood pressure. Vitamin D deficiency is also noted to cause high blood pressure. These 5 vitamins/minerals are commonly found to be low with hypothyroidism. As for your "normal" thyroid results, i found a good article that you will relate to...
Avatar n tn i had sexual intercourse about 7 or 8 times before seeing a doctor. the same occurred except for 2 times, in which no blood appeared. but the majority of times blood came out in the sperm, or only after ejaculation during urination, or both in the sperm and the urine. once i woke up without having had sex that week and urinated blood. i tested my blood, sperm, and urine and the only abnormality was a high psa level. my dr said it is very rare and is that high in 40/50 year old.
