So get your blood sugar control very tight. Ask your doctor for prescription yeast treatment. Consider trial of gluten free diet. Some ideas that may help you.
Avatar f tn ve been having a recurrent vaginal yeast infection for a year and my doctor advised me to have my blood tested. Blood sugar turned out to be OK, but there are a few other things that I worry about: MCV-76, MCH-24, RDW- 17,10 and MPV - 3,6. The doctor told me these things are not that important, actually she didn't even look at them, although I asked her. I'm especially worried about the MPV. Is 3,6 too low? (PLT is 290). I s there a reason to worry? What's your opinion?
Avatar f tn I’ve had symptoms that lead to believe it something is up with my blood sugar. Random fruity taste and hot flashes and shaking, very mild things and are not frequent. However, I have been dealing with tinea versicolor, white tongue, thick and white vaginal discharge, and flaky scalp. I was wondering if I should look into things regarding my blood sugar. It runs in my family, but I’m a very active 20 year old female, and I again am not experiencing any debilitating symptoms.
Avatar n tn otherwise known as candidiasis? It is basically yeast making you sick. The yeast is fed by sugar and carbohydrates. If you have it, then you would feel tired a lot, very tired, probably have a hard time staying focused, and you probably crave sweets or other carbohydrates? If any of these symptoms sound familiar, definitely google up, "candidiasis albicans" to see what you find. Oh, yeast can also overwhelm your system if you have a history of taking anti-biotics.
Avatar f tn You should not take red rice yeast with Crestor. Some natural ways to treat high blood pressure are to increase aerobic exercise, limit salt intake to 2,400 mg, trying to eat at least 3,500 mg of potassium a day, from foods such as yogurt, cantaloupe, spinach, and bananas, limit alcohol consumption, and even trying some forms of meditation. Some supplements that may help with blood sugar are GTF chromium, magnesium, Alpha-lipoic acid, and Coenzyme Q10.
Avatar n tn One of the best ways to get rid of yeast infections, long term, is to regain rigorous control over your blood sugar. Yeast just loves a sweet moist environment, which is what female diabetics with high blood sugars provide routinely. Some antibiotics can raise our BG which is an additional challenge while being treated. Keep the area very clean and talk with your doc to review your insulin routine and your resulting blood sugars.
Avatar n tn My sister-in-law has a terrible time with vaginal yeast infections, to the point that she has gone out of state to see specialists. This may sound ridiculous, but I do believe that yeast feeds on sugar, so perhaps if your blood sugar was under control, it would help with the yeast. I have no idea if the Rebif makes glucose fluctuate. You need to know. Something my sister-in-law always tried in addition to daily medications such as Diflucan (which is NOT usually taken daily!!), was yogurt.
Avatar f tn The lightheaded and blurred vision im thinking it has something to do with low iron r low blood sugar because I dont have any swelling only after a long day of work, appointment tomorrow im going to write my list of questions
Avatar f tn Also, high blood sugar often leads to chronic yeast infections. You may want to ask your doctor to test your blood sugar to determine if that is an issue. Good luck!
Avatar f tn Another thing that caught my attention (and how I ultimately got started down my path of research) was a possible correlation between frequent yeast infections and blood sugar levels. The pieces all seem to fit together when I look at them collectively. I do plan on visiting my doctor to get my blood sugar checked. I was just curious if anyone had any information on this. Sometimes I think that my addiction to alcohol just makes me a walking medical disaster.
Avatar m tn Regarding the sugar issue....yeast thrives with moisture and with sugar. To avoid high spikes in your blood sugar, eat fruit high in fiber and have some protein with it. Never eat fruit by itself. Avoid juice and dehydrated fruit (too much sugar). Last but not least, consider using probiotics. Best of luck to you!
Avatar n tn The fissures have healed but it very uncomfortable and nothing seems to work. I have changed my diet and am on a strict no yeast, sugar, dairy, and fruit diet. I am very faithful about the diet and also do not use any kind of scented soap and wear cotton panties and loose clothing. I have also tried several homeopathic remedies such as coconut oil and tea tree oil, these have given me the most relief but it is not going away. My husband is deployed and so I am currently abstinent.
Avatar m tn ve noticed that I have a Yeast infection possibly again. Last year I had one so went to the doctor office and got everything checked out Blood sugar, HIV, STD test and my CBC and WBC. I came up all good. Is it possible to have a high sugar spike for about a couple of weeks where yeast growths happens and the sugar levels out afterwards? I don't have any other symptoms of Diabetes and since the last time I've seen the doctor I made a commitment to loose weight about 8 pounds.
Avatar n tn cut down on sugar (or eliminate it from your diet alltogether), at least until you're clear of the infection. Yeasts feed on sugar and can make recovery harder, and make you more vulnerable to new infections. Fruit is safe btw.
Avatar n tn this condition creates strains of candida albicans which turn acetaldehyde (which is the chemical created by sugar and yeast fermentation) into ethanol. This is a process well understood by distillers of homemade brew. These candidiasis patients whose yeast turns sugar into alcohol are chronically drunk. They have developed what is only half-jokingly called "auto-brewery syndrome".
Avatar f tn An underactive immune system can lead to yeast overgrowth, because it can't control the balance. The other end of the spectrum is an overactive immune response where allergies are present. This can also lead to problems with yeast. When a traditional vet sees a dog with allergies (a sign of an overactive immune system) he or she will typically prescribe steroid therapy to shut off the immune response. It does improve symptoms but does not fix the underlying cause of the allergies.
Avatar n tn It can cause a white or yellow or even dark growth on the tongue that tastes and even smells bad. Yeast feeds on sugar, so it will grow very quickly when you put sugar in your mouth. Too much yeast in the rest of the digestive tract can also cause bloating, tenderness, stomach pain, and digestion issues. It can also contribute to fatigue and an overall feeling of being unwell. There is a medication called diflucan that is very good at treating yeast.
Avatar n tn this is an intestinal yeast problem in the gut and you can not eat any sugar, yeast, wheat or fruit. The drug of choice for this is called "Nyastatin" It is NOT a statin, but, a great yeast fighter, usually complimentary docs recommend it. There is a book called "The Yeast Connection" By Dr. Cooke and it goes into detail regarding diet, supplements and daily living. There is a lot to do for it, but your doc must be knowledgeable in this area.
Avatar f tn A yeast infection can form in any moist part of your body. HIgh Sugar/High Carb diets cause an overgrowth of yeast in the blood also therefore causing the same problem. Neosporin IS an antibiotic ointment! Therefore it only feeding the yeast infection and making it worse. The Lotrimin or Lamisil will NOT work on its own but it does help and is soothing. ( re: the yogurt thing???
1069143 tn?1471312610 I am 15 years old and obeste, otherwise I am healthy besides high blood pressure. When I got blood work, everything came back normal, chlorestoral, sugar, everything was good. So what could this be? I am worried, please respond.
709686 tn?1277432159 Candida is an intestial yeast that we all have and when we consume too much sugar this yeast gets out of control, punches holes in our colon and releases toxins into our blood stream and can cause a wide range of health problems. Anyone else?
541196 tn?1293552936 The yeast infections usually return more frequently when your blood sugar is high, so keeping your blood sugar under good control is the best way of preventing them.
533880 tn?1237612452 so we are back down to your original thought of cutting sugar and I think you can find on the net that yeast loves to hang on to sugar- and the regular hard core cranberry juice has no sugar, and should be diluted.... the breakdown of sugars and glucose and all those chemical questions? Someone with real brains will have to tackle that question- you said there is no more odor and no more discomfort but the odor is back or it is just not a strong or it comes and goes?
Avatar m tn Take Yeast Infection cream and put it in the area or the Fungal Cream from any drug store should clear it right up.
Avatar n tn Please stop having anything with sugar as of now, no ice cream, no chocolates, no sugar in the coffee etc etc. contact your doctor and he will immediately start on tablet or insulate (tablet are life long) I have the same problem, I am boarder line diabetic for last 7yeras and recently had cut of my foreskin, now almost three week doctor is treating me but it's taking really long to hell due to my sugar level. any wound on your body take really long to hell when u have sugar problem.
