Avatar f tn They are separate test. The salt one is the same as the baking soda test, just with salt instead. If the urine slightly changes colour, becomes cloudy, or a layer of cloudy or foam covers the top, it's a boy. If it stay clear and basically no changes, or just a few bubbles/fizz, it's a girl. The ring test is when you attach a ring to a string or a chain and hold it over your belly. If it swing back and forth like a pendulum it's a boy, if it swings around in a circle it's a girl.
7975661 tn?1403095318 ^^ mine are dark and it's a girl lol. The pendulum test is when you use a string or necklace...put a ring on it and hold it over your tummy or your wrist. If it goes in a circle, it's a girl.
Avatar f tn You have to put in some info and it shows you girl or boy depending. With the pendulum test, you lay down and hold a pendulum(or a necklace, long string with ring, etc) over your tummy.
Avatar m tn //www.mayoclinic.org/diseases-conditions/type-2-diabetes/diagnosis-treatment/drc-20351199 I'd consider a full work up checking sugar and cholesterol both.
Avatar f tn and possible hypoglycemia (low blood sugar) Fainting is a sudden loss of oxygen to the brain .ask the Doctor about possible epilepsy ..has she any fever when she faints ?.
Avatar f tn Hey ladie did you ver try the ring with a necklace and hold it over your stomach to see if it went side to side or in circles? Did it really work? And was it right?
1058898 tn?1275675151 Your doctor is uninformed and irresponsible to be allowing your blood sugar to go so high without advising you to do anything. As Zoelula said, it is your health. It is up to you. Get yourself educated and get it under control. Else there will be consequences. This is the plain and ugly, but necessary truth!
Avatar m tn Your cholesterol level is less than 200 and your random blood sugar level is less than 140, which is good. It will be important to add (as best you can) regular aerobic exercise and try to adhere to a diet low in fat. If you have recurrent chest pain, you will need to be urgently reviewed by a physician.
Avatar f tn Graybaby you put a ring to a string or a necklace and hold it above your belly. After a while the ring starts making movements. If it goes in a straight line like a pendulum then its a boy and if its making circles its a girl.
Avatar f tn It sucked that they made me drink it all in 5min and by the end it started burning my throat. But then you have to sit around for an hour then they draw your blood and your done. I threw it all up after they drew my blood luckily, or else i would have had to take the test again.
Avatar n tn My doctor said wait til the 2nd trimester and because of the hormones in your body, your hair could not hold the color or could hold it in a completely different way- a way that you may not like.
Avatar f tn I just did my three hour last week. They take your blood when you get there then you drink the drink and after 1 hour they take your blood, and again at 2 hours and at 3 hours.
1275696 tn?1349701121 I understand on so many levels. I, too, denied my bipolar... got treatment, stopped for 8 years... then realized I was only fooling myself (and hurting everyone) and that I needed to just take care of it. I hated the swings, not knowing who I was going to be - and I hated that my kids didn't know who I was going to be - the super fun hyper mommy or the short fused snappy mommy. I get those bouts of rage, too, and they scare me. I've (luckily) never acted on them.
Avatar n tn Ants in the toilet indicates excessive sugar in your urine. If you have excess sugar in your body, the body tries to eliminate it by way of your urine. This is a marker for diabetes. Go get an A1c test to confirm what your glucose levels are. Lab results are your for the asking by law so always get a copy for your own records. There is no cure for diabetes but Lifestyle change is the key for all diabetics.
1448460 tn?1284694467 Prednisone does tend to raise your blood sugar and you should do what you can to keep it down as much as possible. You did not mention if you are on insulin or pills or just diet control. Considering you are only taking prednisone for a very short time, you shouldn't have too much to worry about. If your blood sugar is at that level for a longer period of time that may bring about some damage. Exercise more, if possible, definitely drink lots more water and really watch your diet.
Avatar n tn You cannot buy insulin over the counter without a prescription, nor can you buy syringes needed to inject insulin without a prescription. So you first need to go see your doctor. I would do blood tests before each meal and at bedtime each day until your doctor's appointment and write down the numbers that you get on your glucometer.

1285372 tn?1307240420 That is something you should ask your doctor or pharmacist. I know your blood sugar can fluctuate when you are sick.
Avatar m tn Hello, i am posting because I just got my blood drawn yesterday , and I dont think it ever gets easier. But heres my situation? In november of 0'10 I had high risk sex with an unknown hiv status person. I have been tested regularly and often, twice every month since then, last one was at fourteen weeks which was by oraquick blood. And I also got tested through my doctor at nine weeks which was your standard EIA.
Avatar f tn I agree with troytroy that you need to meet with a doctor or diabetic educater to learn the basics of diabetes care. First of all being continually over 130 for fasting blood sugar is too high. Your wife needs to have her doctor evaluate her medication regimen and see if something needs to be changed. Also I'm guessing you don't know much about diet and exercise to help control Type II diabetes and this is very important to learn.
Avatar n tn Hello, Definitely your blood sugar levels are raised. First of you need to start exercising and do brisk wals for atleast 45 min per day. A diet that includes fruits, vegetables, fiber-containing foods, and low-fat milk is advised. Consumption of foods with a low glucose levels appears to reduce postprandial glucose rise and improve glycemic control. Reduced calorie and nonnutritive sweeteners are useful.
Avatar f tn At 72, I've never had any doctor address anything regarding an elevated blood sugar level from bloodwork done every 6 months! Had bloodwork done 2 weeks ago, my blood sugar level is 133...how do I deal with this? What has caused this? Doctor is concerned, not frantic about this today, but I am alarmed.
Avatar f tn Usually, fasting begins at midnight for a test the next day. Your sugar by the standards of your lab states it was high on your first test. The repeat is normal. I am not sure if that was a fluke. I'd probably get it checked in another 6 months to see where you are at. This article may help you understand how blood sugar can fluctuate and when it is normal. https://www.mayoclinic.
Avatar m tn Proper nutrition, moderate exercise and a normal weight all contribute to diabetes control. If you feel your medications "aren't working" go see your doctor.
