Avatar m tn I have had lab work at wk 1,2,4,6,8,10 and 12 scheduled so far, just had 4 week lab draw today
Avatar f tn I am also having trouble with low blood sugar. My blood sugar goes from 44 to 255. I know normal is 80-120 . At the Diabetes clinic they said if mine dropped from 50-70 to take gluclose tabs, 8, but my body is reacting like a normal one. I take 4 at 44 which is life threatening low. I also notice that lately it's dropping after I eat which I don't understand. This discussion is related to Blood sugar drops after eating.
Avatar f tn d probably get it checked in another 6 months to see where you are at. This article may help you understand how blood sugar can fluctuate and when it is normal. https://www.mayoclinic.
Avatar f tn All these things greatly influence blood sugar. If you have been unable to get your blood sugar stable at all, these are things you need to work on. I hope your husband gets better soon.
Avatar f tn half year post liver transplant, my question now is about his bood sugar, we are trying to monitor it , we have the kit and test sugar before and after meal, but there was time that in just a minute sugar rises and and sometimes went very low. is this normal for or the kit have a problem?
Avatar f tn And INSULIN RESISTANCE DECREASES SVR!!!! Your doctor needs to monitor your blood sugar and prescribe medication to lower it if needed. Also, ask him for a referral to see a Diabetes Educator who can teach you about diet. Here's the link to a study that shows that a fasting blood sugar >100 lowers SVR..... "Glucose >100 mg/dl Reduces Interferon/RBV SVR " http://www.natap.org/2008/HCV/031008_01.
Avatar m tn Engaging in regular physical activity can help regulate blood sugar levels and improve overall health. It is recommended to aim for at least 30 minutes of moderate exercise most days of the week. Medication: Diabetes medication such as insulin or oral hypoglycemic agents may be necessary to manage blood sugar levels. It is important to follow the doctor's instructions and take medication as prescribed.

180395 tn?1287493997 Once before breakfast and once before lunch. So I decided to buy a glucose monitor to check to see if maybe low blood sugar was the culprit. Well this morning before I bought it I came to work, had 2 donuts for breakfast (this isnt an everyday thing, someone just decided to be nice and bring some to work this morning) then I had 2 cups of coffee with creamer that contains sugar and on the way to work this morning I had a large cup of sweet tea.
304573 tn?1345577338 How are you arriving at this conclusion? Are you home testing your blood glucose, or is this random or fasting lab testing results? How long have you been tracking this?
5650943 tn?1374112808 I know but im always atleast snacking thru the day but it seems like my blood sugar stays low all the time
Avatar f tn It really depends if u need insulin or pills, if you cant control your blood sugar then you take pills if your blood sugar is not high. But if normally your fasting numbers are high then thats why they put you on insulin. I have a coworker that went straight to insulin and shes a diabetic now but her numbers were crazy high like in the 500 when she did the glucose test. The doc just prob know that pills wont help you.
7543158 tn?1391978069 Eating even just a handful of almonds now (my go to snack when my sugar gets low) will spike my sugar to almost 200 and I work all day to get it back down to an acceptable level. When it finally goes down it ends up crashing into the 40s and 50s, sometimes causing me to pass out as it's so sudden when it does. I've never had this problem before and it's freaking me out a little bit because I have no one to help me while my husband is at work.
Avatar n tn You can also get an irregular heartbeat from low blood sugar. I don't know if a high pulse is part of this as well. So, I would get the fasting blood sugar drawn and they may have you eat or have a glucose solution and wait two hours and see if your blood sugar drops too low or they can check your hemoglobin A1C which can also determine if you have diabetes or low blood sugar. hemoglobin A1C is becoming more popular. I tend to like to stick to the well known blood sugar test.
Avatar f tn But this morning I got really lightheaded and a headache all of a sudden(which I know is normal in pregnancy) but I checked my blood pressure again to see if that was it, and it was perfect. So I checked my blood sugar and it was 79, I had just had a fruit smoothie. The medical assistant at work told me it was low, and then another told me it was slightly low. My question is does anyone know what it should be? I go to the Dr tomorrow so I will ask him, but I'm just curious.
Tbd Hi. So, a glucose meter using a finger tip prick or a continuous glucose monitor is best for checking blood sugar. Of course, that's after you are diagnosed with diabetes. Prior to that, blood work ordered by your doctor will reveal your sugar levels. https://diabetes.
1947337 tn?1331423890 I slept til almost 3 and i had to just force myself to get up and unlock the door for my son. All i could think of was to check my blood sugar (i have a maachine from yrs ago when i had gest diab but have never had any other prob that i know of. Anyway, it was 56 which i think is low so i ate a couple of spoonsful of pb and drank a dr pepper. Waited 45 min and checked it again, it went up to 72. I still don't feel good but better than this morning....
Avatar n tn I got weekly BP checks to monitor it. Not sure of complications of low blood pressure on pregnancy but if you are dizzy, that's a cause for concern due to falling. I'd see a true MD to discuss this.
