Common Questions and Answers about Blood sugar high tiredness

Avatar m tn i would get your blood sugar checked via a fasting blood sugar and Hemoglobin A1C, and also a urinalysis and BUN Creatinine blood test to check for kidney problems.
Avatar m tn Something is wrong. You need help. Your doctor knows how bad you are feeling and has nothing to offer? If so, have you got a generalist you can go to? Sometimes it is better to see someone who takes everything into consideration and not just one piece. My best guess is that you body isn't happy with your new "normal" blood sugar. You were probably running a high blood sugar for a long time and your muscles - and I include your brain as a muscle - got use to the high level.
Avatar m tn Constant tiredness and fatigue could be due to several causes such as anemia, hypothyroidism, chronic fatigue syndrome, disorders of the hypothalamus, psychiatric disorders such as depression and sleep-related breathing disorders. At your age, your blood sugar levels also need to be evaluated as diabetes can often present with tiredness as initial symptom. I would suggest that you get your hemoglobin levels checked. A low hemoglobin can make you feel very easily tired.
Avatar n tn I went to the ER not long ago and I was told I had very high blood sugar, I had not eaten anything for more than 8 hours other than toast.
Avatar n tn After I gave him something really sweet to drink about 45 minutes later he was ready to eat. So do we have a problem with low sugar or high sugar? Is this something to worry about? He cant't talk so he can't tell us how he feels. My husband won't have insurance until the end of April. So were kinda stuck at the moment with being able to get anyone to help us. We were also told that since his seizures last that long we should really be worrying about brain deteriation.
Avatar n tn I had mentioned to a friend with a diabetic son that after I exercise(run) in the morning my blood sugar will sometimes shoot up 100-150 points and this is after a reading of 120-150 prior to running on my treadmill. I then have readings that are 200-250 and I get very frustrated! I am a type I diabetic for 26 years. I thought this was strange seeing that I had not eaten anything to make my blood sugar climb so high.
Avatar f tn I m Type-1 diabetic from last 15 years and my blood sugar level used to be under control but from last 2 Weeks, my sugar level fluctuates a lot. Fasting blood sugar is nearly around 300 : before dinner around 500 and after dinner its around 400.There is no change in my diet, exercise or my daily routine pattern. Even I take short acting insulin(novorapid) when my sugar level goes beyond 300 but it doesn't make much difference. I m really worried.
Avatar f tn Can someone tell me how high your blood sugar should get before you become alarmed or call the doctor? I have not been diagnosed but a few months and my doctor has not told me much of nothing. My sugar keeps going up and down, my doctor won't put me on medicine(the highest its been is 400+, the lowest 60) Thanks for your help!!!
Avatar f tn All these things greatly influence blood sugar. If you have been unable to get your blood sugar stable at all, these are things you need to work on. I hope your husband gets better soon.
1773108 tn?1314158067 Good Morning, I have a question about high blood sugar levels that don't seem to stabilize. My boyfriend has been struggling for years with high blood sugar. He told me this morning that his level was at 480+!!!! He says he doesn't feel any different whether it's high or low. The lowest it's been (to my knowledge) is still in the high range of 200+.
Avatar f tn Type 2 diabetes, im wondering how he is still feeling really tired and just nit right after we got his sugar back down he's sugar is usually high, but now that im keeping track and helping him with it (because no one else was) he is doing alot better. Please let me know something to help him even more!!
Avatar n tn First of all if you are still thirsty, loosing weight and having ketones, you are not in control. Ketones happen when your blood sugar is too high and your body is breaking down fat to get you energy, therefore you are loosing weight. These are all signs that you are NOT in control. and heading for ketonacidocisis. (Ketonacidosis can lead to serious problems such as coma is the levels are too high for too long.
1058898 tn?1275675151 Your doctor is uninformed and irresponsible to be allowing your blood sugar to go so high without advising you to do anything. As Zoelula said, it is your health. It is up to you. Get yourself educated and get it under control. Else there will be consequences. This is the plain and ugly, but necessary truth!
Avatar f tn It really depends if u need insulin or pills, if you cant control your blood sugar then you take pills if your blood sugar is not high. But if normally your fasting numbers are high then thats why they put you on insulin. I have a coworker that went straight to insulin and shes a diabetic now but her numbers were crazy high like in the 500 when she did the glucose test. The doc just prob know that pills wont help you.
