Blood sugar high headache

Common Questions and Answers about Blood sugar high headache

blood-sugar

Avatar m tn Have you ever gotten your blood sugar tested? What you describe there could be Low blood sugar, Low hematocrit or hemoglobin which means low oxygen, but I guess a fall in blood pressure can make you dizzy and faint! Less pressure means less glucose and oxygen to brain so the brain will get your head a ground level so that it can get the needed glucose and oxygen which is why people faint...........High blood pressure will most likely cause a headache, but then again anything is possible.
Avatar f tn Well I found out the next day my blood pressure was high. It has been fine since. But this morning I got really lightheaded and a headache all of a sudden(which I know is normal in pregnancy) but I checked my blood pressure again to see if that was it, and it was perfect. So I checked my blood sugar and it was 79, I had just had a fruit smoothie. The medical assistant at work told me it was low, and then another told me it was slightly low. My question is does anyone know what it should be?

Avatar n tn Hi there! Blood drawn from the veins is usually dark and has nothing to do with glucose levels. Most systemic causes such as infections may be associated with temporarily increased blood glucose levels. I would suggest consulting a primary care physician for a detailed evaluation regarding the fever and headache. After a cause is identified it can be managed accordingly. It might also be worthwhile to consult your endocrinologist for control of blood sugar levels. Hope this is helpful.

Avatar f tn ) which apparently was causing blood sugar swings (eat/drink the carb and blood blood-sugar level goes up too high, body rushes to control sugar level by making a lot of insulin which tells fat cells to absorb sugar and then sugar level goes too low causing headache and craving for sugary food). I would check her diet first.
576054 tn?1217783138 My doctor will be doing tests in a few weeks, but I have had some fairly high glucose levels lately. I also have a history of high blood pressure although that has been better most of the time lately. Tonight all of a sudden I started having a terrible headache and nausea. My glucose level was somewhat high. So either this was due to the glucose levels or due to high blood pressure. Whatever it is, I am so tired of being sick and tired all of the time.
Avatar n tn I went to the ER not long ago and I was told I had very high blood sugar, I had not eaten anything for more than 8 hours other than toast.
Avatar n tn After I gave him something really sweet to drink about 45 minutes later he was ready to eat. So do we have a problem with low sugar or high sugar? Is this something to worry about? He cant't talk so he can't tell us how he feels. My husband won't have insurance until the end of April. So were kinda stuck at the moment with being able to get anyone to help us. We were also told that since his seizures last that long we should really be worrying about brain deteriation.
Avatar n tn I had mentioned to a friend with a diabetic son that after I exercise(run) in the morning my blood sugar will sometimes shoot up 100-150 points and this is after a reading of 120-150 prior to running on my treadmill. I then have readings that are 200-250 and I get very frustrated! I am a type I diabetic for 26 years. I thought this was strange seeing that I had not eaten anything to make my blood sugar climb so high.
Avatar f tn I m Type-1 diabetic from last 15 years and my blood sugar level used to be under control but from last 2 Weeks, my sugar level fluctuates a lot. Fasting blood sugar is nearly around 300 : before dinner around 500 and after dinner its around 400.There is no change in my diet, exercise or my daily routine pattern. Even I take short acting insulin(novorapid) when my sugar level goes beyond 300 but it doesn't make much difference. I m really worried.
Avatar f tn Can someone tell me how high your blood sugar should get before you become alarmed or call the doctor? I have not been diagnosed but a few months and my doctor has not told me much of nothing. My sugar keeps going up and down, my doctor won't put me on medicine(the highest its been is 400+, the lowest 60) Thanks for your help!!!
Avatar f tn All these things greatly influence blood sugar. If you have been unable to get your blood sugar stable at all, these are things you need to work on. I hope your husband gets better soon.
1773108 tn?1314158067 Good Morning, I have a question about high blood sugar levels that don't seem to stabilize. My boyfriend has been struggling for years with high blood sugar. He told me this morning that his level was at 480+!!!! He says he doesn't feel any different whether it's high or low. The lowest it's been (to my knowledge) is still in the high range of 200+.
Avatar n tn If you have not been checked for Diabetes you should get in ASAP, my son gets a headache when he is running high at times or after eating sugar. The only connection we found is when his blood sugar level is too high. hope that help!
Avatar n tn If your blood glucose was 61 an hour or two after breakfast, especially if your breakfast was fairly high carb (such as cereal, bread, etc) you might have a specific type of hypoglycemia called reactive hypoglycemia which is people who have low blood sugar after a meal high in carbs. I would suggest seeing your doctor and getting tested to see what type of hypoglycemia you have and to make sure you aren't pre-diabetes.
8102917 tn?1402457914 Keeps everything functioning well. If not that, try reevaluating what you eat. If you have high blood sugar or blood pressure your head can also hurt. I have gestational diabetes and when my sugar isoff my head is the first sign.
2104507 tn?1333752737 Please post your latest TSH result. TSH is variable and can fluctuate for a variety of reasons. Most of your symptoms do not match hypothyroidism. Weight loss is more prevalent with hyperthyroidism, as is the headache, feeling warm, etc. Weight loss is also common with diabetes, so you should get that checked again. When your body starts shaking and you must eat sugar, that indicates hypoglycemia, so it sounds like you're on a roller coaster.......
