577285 tn?1706032371 Blood Sugar Tracker for us diabetic's out there please. It would be an invaluable tool for us to track this VITAL READING. Not only could it be based on those little log books that we all gotta carry around getting all dog eared and full of blood stains as well as getting more expensive to buy , but we could easily make a copy and bring the professional looking and easy to read Chart / Tracker to our Doctors.
Avatar n tn I tested my blood sugar this morning and it was 105. Would you say this is out of the normal range. I had blood work done about a month ago when I had my annual physical and my sugar level came back at 109. My doctor didn't seem to alarmed.
Avatar n tn My son has been diabetic for 35 years and has always had a problem with low blood sugar that comes on so rapidly that we have barely enough time to get some nourisment in him. Lately, in the past 3 months, he has had a sezure in bed around 5;00am with out any warning. This of course is very scary for his wife and son. Is there anything that can be done to help detect this coming on when a person is sound asleep?

Avatar n tn My son has type two diabetes and is 20 years old. He has had it for approximately 8 years. Here is the problem. His blood sugar will plummet to 20 if I'm not with him, and he goes into seizures. We've met with doctors and have tried to follow their advice, but since he is an adult, he handles it his way. Help. I'm afraid that he is going to die. I scheduled to meet with the screening board at Robert Wood Johnson for a pancreas transplant, but he refused to go.

Avatar n tn I totally agree with the advice that has been given to you. Most articles that discuss normal ranges of blood sugar for people who are not diabetic list the range of "normal" as being between about 70-140. I believe that some doctors consider a blood sugar higher than about 150 after a meal as diabetic. So your son's sugar levels in the 200's do warrant some tests. We wish you the best.
Avatar n tn if we are not aware of our own signals for falling blood sugar, or if we have lost the ability to sense when our blood sugar is falling.
Avatar f tn From what I understand initial low blood sugar symptoms (that is the feelings as your sugar drops, rather than the symptoms that come about after suffering low blood sugar over an extended time) are a hormonal response your body puts out to tell itself your sugar is dropping and to do something about it. Those initial signs - the shakiness, the disconnecting feeling (almost dream-like disconnect) sometimes cold sweat, etc, can result from other things as well.

Avatar n tn You may find that you can reduce your blood sugar levels if you adopt a lower carb way of eating (avoiding sugar, and strictly limiting starchy veges, grains and sweet fruits).... Please let us know some more about yourself and your condition. Please ask any questions.

Avatar f tn Hi, I am an African American 24 year old female that has had blood labs drawn to see what my blood sugar ranges are. I fasted and had them done on 5/9/15. My parents both 61 years old are pre-diabetic and diabetes runs in my family. I got the results yesterday and I wanted to post them here to get advice on if I am pre-diabetic or not. I am kind of freaking out because I Googled the ranges and I am getting all different types of answers!!! Below are the results. Any comments would be great!
