Common Questions and Answers about Blood quickening

blood

378557 tn?1233252992 It's so low in my belly... is that normal? I've heard the vibrations may be due to increased blood flow, too??... I was hoping I'd just have this magical motherly instinct that would say, "yep, thats the baby!" and have no doubts about what I was feeling in there, but I'm just confused!! Any thoughts?? Anyone have that vibrating feeling?
331213 tn?1217168431 What do you ladies think? I'm so confused!!! One more thing - when I got my blood drawn at 9w3d, my HCG was like, 156,000! Is that high or normal??
Avatar n tn Simple question here, has anyone ever had a negative blood test and negative urine test and went on with their daily routine and a month or so later found out you were in fact pregnant while having ultrasound done. If this has happened to anyone or perhaps someone you know, please respond, I'd appreciate the information. Thanks.
Avatar n tn Feeling movement at that time is normal! It's called "quickening". I'm 19 weeks and feeling movements come and go. I would feel movements more when I layed on my back, but mine started at 15 weeks. Don't worry, the baby is fine! At this point I don't lay on my back to increase blood flow and be more comfortable.
Avatar f tn I have not had a period in a few months, my periods are irregular. I have taken 2 pregnancy tests that turned out negitive. This morning I have been feeling a light flutter in my lower stomach. I have had a child before and know what the first "quickening" feels like. This is very similar! If i take another pregnancy test and it turns out negetive again, is it still possible I may be pregnant?
Avatar n tn The whole time I have been able to feel quickening and I've had nausea/headaches on and off. This isn't my first pregnancy, so I know what pregnancy feels like. I've taken 5 hpts over the past 12 wks, all neg, and my first pregnancy was the same way. I didn't know I was pregnant the first time until 22 1/2 wks. Any advice????? Thanks!!
Avatar f tn I have had 5 negative HPTs, 1 negative urine hCG at the clinic, and a negative blood test. I have also been for an ultrasound and although they found that my uterus was slightly enlarged, and the lining was thick, no sac was observed, but they did find a complex cyst on my left ovary. I also feel I should mention that I have a retroverted uterus, and this can make ultrasound imaging difficult at times.
Avatar n tn My TSH came up 0.05 on a routine blood test. I have absolutely no symptoms of hyperthyroidism - in fact, I've gained about 10 lbs and can't seem to lose it (BMI is still in normal range). I'm a 50 yr female (which is what I attribute the weight gain to!). I have been slender all my life and would really notice weight loss. I feel great, no loss of hair, no tremors, no abnormal menstrual cycles, no quickening heartrate (another thing I would notice since I work out every day).
Avatar f tn And by 15 weeks you would have started quickening (little tiny movements in your stomach). Its possible that you may be pregnant the only thing to do is test if that says negative than get a blood test to see if you have any HCG in your system. Best of luck to you keep us informed.
Avatar f tn If you were pregnant you would be showing and defiantly coming up positive on a pregnancy. Quickening (the first stage of movement that you would feel) happens at about 14-16 weeks so you would already be 3-4 months along. If you think you are pregnant than take a test.
Avatar f tn because I feel really stupid for asking) but.. while my blood pressure.. heart rate.. and all those kinds of things are fine.. and the baby is doing great as well.. i was walking to the laundry room.. and .. I just got dizzy all the sudden.. it scared me soooo much.. now i know that the books say that its normal.. ( i am entering my 33 week) and my doc says that occasional dizziness is normal.. i just REALLY want to hear from those who have ACTUALLY had it happen to them..
Avatar n tn then febuary still not now march 2013 still not . I have felt quickening and thumpings and been nautience sence nov till now and now i get dizzy and fatigue and its my first time experiencing this .
Avatar m tn Compression stockings and bandages actually help us alot with circulation no matter how old someone is so that the blood flow continues and bad things don't happen. They are actually quickening the process of getting rid of the clot with the compression bandages because eventually the clot will dissolve and redistribute thru his blood stream and then viola all gone.
Avatar f tn Hi there! You should typically feel your baby's first movements, called "quickening," between weeks 16 and 25 of your pregnancy. First mothers may not feel their baby move until closer to 25 weeks. By the second pregnancy, some women start to feel movements as early as 13 weeks. You're more likely to feel baby move when you're in a quiet position, either sitting or lying dow Different moms describe their baby's movements as butterflies, nervous twitches, or a tumbling motion.
Avatar f tn -if this isn't your first pregnancy, you may be able to feel movement as early as 12-13 weeks, but it isn't uncommon not to feel movement until you are much farther along -first flutters are called quickening and generally feel like gas or small popping movement in your lower abdomen -before about 12 weeks it is almost impossible to feel movement because the baby is just too small (average fetal weight at 12 weeks is only half an ounce and average fetal length is about 2 inches) -once you are
Avatar n tn What you're experiencing is probably a natural reaction to the sudden dump of adrenaline into your blood stream. The heart rate quickens, and it can cause skipping as well. All of us at one time or another have felt aht surge of anxiety, the quickening heart rate, and occasional skipping. Only a physician can tell you for sure, but most of the time, these things are completely benign and the farthest thing from heart failure. By the way, my wife is a very outgoing person as well.
Avatar f tn I was actually put on it to slow my pulse, and not to lower my blood pressure, or to quell PVC's or SVT's. But being that I had the latter two problems, I was kept on it once they found out that my quickening pulse at night was from sleep apnea. What dose are you on?
Avatar f tn Is it possible to have quickening/flutters at 14weeks and then nothing? Please help its for a friend. She had a miscarriage last October and today the doctor told her that she may have some complications because the baby did not react when they checked her (by checking her belly). They are not ready to do an ultrasound until the next 3weeks.
Avatar f tn This usually leads to my pulse quickening, my legs feeling weak, spotty vision, sweaty palms, feelings of confusion and feeling like I am going to pass out in general. Sitting or laying down helps, but these episodes have occasionally come over me while driving, when I don't have the luxury of laying down. I have tried to formulate a cause for these faint feelings, but they happen so randomly that it has been difficult. Before I eat, after I eat, standing, sitting, laying in bed...
1227139 tn?1462338230 So we have all heard of Quickening, or the term for feeling fetal movement. Usually first time pregnancies feel this fluttering at about 18-24 weeks along depending on your size, location of placenta etc. With Hunter (my first pregnancy) I had an anterior Placenta (at the front) which made it pretty difficult to feel moment early let alone kicks. So even though I did feel Hunter, (at 18 weeks) I didn't feel it on the outside until about 26 weeks.
Avatar n tn Every so often I would experience uterine twitches that felt a lot like quickening, but I wasn't pg at the time. Could be something as simples as that as well.
Avatar n tn i need to know if there are any tricks to speed up the feeling of movement or quickening. im about 15-16 weeks and haven't felt anything yet. some of the girls have said they were feeling movement at 5 weeks! I have been paranoid about it for the last week. any suggestion, ie: laying down on back, taking a bath, would be appreciated.
Avatar n tn I was scared I was in my final stage due to HIV quickening due to stress. I took more chances in life, dangerous chances. All this without a test, I knew I had it. I thought every day how I was going to tell my parents and loved ones, after many recent deaths in my family.. I thought of what I would do when I found out I was positive. I concluded I would either travel the world and find myself spiritually or push my car as fast as I could go and hit a tree.
Avatar m tn This has also, I believe, helped to increase my typical blood pressure readings to above normal (very healthy 28-year-old, otherwise. I work out, am at healthy weight, etc.). I'm on meds for blood pressure and have been taking Klonopin as-needed for panic attacks and other severe anxiety bouts. But recently, after an extended period of high anxiety I visited a psychiatrist who told me to try Zoloft and take Klonopin every day for a month, then taper down and go back to using as needed.
Avatar n tn I havent be to a doctor in over a month and the soonest I can get back to NJ is the 1st of June. I felt the quickening often for a couple weeks now *FYI I'm 21 weeks*. I am considered high risk. What my concern is in the last week or so...I havent felt it AS MUCH! I feel it every so often but not like I used to. I went to the emergency room and they said the heart beat was normal *136* and that even though I couldnt feel them the monitor showed vigorus kicking and movements.
97615 tn?1212682189 we had spotting after bd this past friday so i was a lil worried. I hate the sight of blood these days!!! I heard the heart beat and she told me the same thing. You feel more consistent movement at around 28 weeks. Phew!!! How are you feeling? When is your next appointement?
Avatar n tn Brain fogs, neck, shoulder back aches, high sensitivity to light, I became very stiff and it was hard to move, extreme fatigue, trouble with speech, severe headaches, lots of confusion, trouble concenrating, difficulty in multi-tasking, extreme anger outbursts and very irratible, low energy levels, tingling in my arms and shoulders (almost a numbness), too much stimulation causes processing difficulties, night sweats, sleep discomfort, and now to top that off a quickening in my chest with l
Avatar f tn I hated the epidural personally. When I went to the hospital I was dilated to three going on four. I didn't think the pain was too bad. I HAD to get it because of my baby though.
Avatar m tn Manual stimulation gives similar normal pleasure, and I feel the normal signs, heart quickening etc., but literally have no progress toward erection. Beyond this and maybe a little discomfort in the area (I am not totally sure if I am just imagining this though), there are no other symptoms. I am not experiencing any visible bruising, blood in urine, or strong pain.
8666559 tn?1399390262 While foetal movement does begin in the first trimester, it can’t be felt until the second trimester, where it is experienced as what is called the ‘quickening’. This movement is usually experienced at some point between the 19th and 21st week of pregnancy, however if you haven’t felt movement at this point you shouldn’t be overly concerned as it is not uncommon for women to feel the first quickening later than that.
