Blood glucose joint pain

Common Questions and Answers about Blood glucose joint pain

blood-glucose

Avatar f tn If you have poor release of insulin, then after exercise the blood glucose can rise. While exercising the brain gets a signal to increase blood glucose to meet the extra body demand. If this increased sugar is able to trigger an increased insulin response, the blood sugar gets lowered. Otherwise, it remains high. You should get GTT or glucose tolerance test, fasting blood sugar, post prandial sugar done and glycosyltaed hemoglobin measured to know whether you have diabetes or not.
Avatar f tn t until my doctor gave me a medication to control my blood sugar that my hand and feet pain and body pain went away. I do have periods when my pain comes back and that is usually when I have my period. My doctor said that my change in hormones makes it difficult to regulate my blood sugar and with time, diet and exercise that hopefully I will be completely pain free. There is many different stages that people go through with this condition and not everyone is effected the same way.
Avatar n tn My thyroid levels were very similar to yours and it was discovered that I have a condition called Metabolic Syndrome, which is a cluster of conditions consisting of high blood pressure, high blood glucose (fasting blood glucose over 100 is impaired), high triglycerides or cholesterol, excess body fat around the waist. Having just one of the components doesn't qualify as Metabolic Syndrome; you must have at least 3 of them.
Avatar n tn I am a 51 old female have been suffering from joint pain, fatigue, brain fog, frequent urination, muscles pain since 6 months ago. Both of my GP and Endo physicians believed surgery is the only option to improve the condition and diet change is not the way to go. However, I feel a little better after I stopped intake any dairy products about a month ago. This is my blood work result from a month ago. I don't take any meds at this point and not sure if I have to after the surgery?

Avatar m tn "Can pain (especially chronic pain such as with sciatic pain) cause blood sugar levels to remain elevated?" Very good question. It is to my understanding that chronic pain can raise glucose levels, such as when one becomes ill with the cold or flu. Illness not only affects your eating, sleeping, and exercise, it may cause the liver to make and release glucose into the bloodstream.
Avatar n tn Even people suffering from Rheumatoid Arthritis/Osteoarthritis or Degenrative Bone problems (Osteopenia or Osteoporosis) or Muscular problems and Blood vessels problems (Deep Vein Thrombosis) may also be presented with paresthesias, you may also exhibit symptoms like early morning muscle stiffness and joint pains which are migratory (multiple joint pain and different times) which needs Orthopedic consultation. You may undergo RAF (Rheumatic Arthritis Factor), ASO titer, CRP, Sr.
709686 tn?1277432159 I've had two tests done recently to see if I am diabetic and each test has come back negative. So what is wrong with me? If I eat something sweet I break out in a sweat, severe brain fog and anxiety, anger to the point of rage, can't concentrate, joint & muscle pain and very week in the legs. WTF??? I have had every test known to man run on me and my blood work always come back "within normal levels"...whatever the heck that means.
Avatar n tn Recently he started having a lot of joint pain. Now his ankles and feet are swelling. His sugar levels are doing great. We have been to the doctor and he has had several test done. Everything is coming back good. Has anyone had these same symptoms? He is taking Metformin and I am wondering if this has anything to do with this.
709686 tn?1277432159 re concerned about your blood glucose levels, you can purchase a glucose monitor pretty cheaply at drug stores. I got one a few years ago for $10 at CVS. They usually come with 10 test strips and 10 lancets and instructions, which should be plenty to check your blood sugar throughout a couple of days. Extra test strips can be pricy. If you go this route, most recommend checking your blood sugar first thing in the morning (fasting) and 2 hours after meals.
Avatar m tn I also get a weird taste on tongue, pain behind my left shoulder blade, a dull burning type sensation in armpits, tendon (maybe joint) pain in wrists/ankles, abdominal tightness on both sides, and discomfort in shins. I have also noticed increase in floaters in left eye. When one of these symptoms starts to increase intensity it seems like they all do.

Avatar m tn anxiety does not normally cause joint pain unless your anxiety causes you to hold your joint rigidly for a period of time. any ticks in your area when you are outside? some tick bites can cause joint pain and fatigue.

Avatar f tn They also always tend to last between 8-11 days, ten mostly. I now get pain every where, I guess like Joint pain? I get chest-wall pain too a lot that prevents me from moving for a couple minutes, and I also have cold intolerance. I sometimes have problems when it comes to digestive issues - Like, (TMI) I usually get Diarrhea, or a lot of gas (Which then also causes pain). I've suffered through pain for so long, that it starts to get confusing when I have to describe the pain.
Avatar f tn i have been suffering from joint pain for over a year now. i get that in my whole arms and legs, its like a constant throbing pain and it never goes away unless i take pain relief. i have seen an rheumatologist and she said she could not find anything, i also have had a bone scan and nothing has come up. the rheumatologist said that my vitamin D was low and i need vitamin D injection an that might help. apart from that they dont know what is causing it.

Avatar m tn YES!!!! :/ I am SO sick of it. I feel like I will NEVER be normal. I have been on so many dosages of synthroid -- and my stupid blood tests are usually showing in the range, so doctors are very reluctant to change my dosage. Because of this, I've been to neurologists, cardiologists, and gastroenterologists... Once they say all is "normal" and they think it's my "dosage", then endos are more willing to move me up or down with my med.
Avatar f tn Ok so I had a physical done almost 3 months ago now and my glucose level came back at 88 fasting for 10 hours which mean I'm not diabetic but I found out my vitamin d level was at 19 which I started taking vitamin d3 pills once a day and I've been having soo much pain everywhere I also found out my tsh level was at 0.
Avatar f tn For about 10 years now, I have had joint problems that initially started with my ankles. I am now only 20 years old and the joint problems have moved to everywhere in my body: both ankles, right knee, left ankle, right wrist, lower back, chest, and the most recent is my right hip. After X-rays of nearly every joint, everything has proved non-conclusive. Even the MRI of my hip showed normal findings. About two months ago, I started waking up and to find myself very shaky.
