Blood alcohol sensor

Common Questions and Answers about Blood alcohol sensor

alcohol

Avatar n tn s a very thin, flexible adhesive window that we apply where the sensor will be placed (first foldling it gently to cut a small hole where the sensor wire will go). The Sensor and Transmitter are then applied on top of the Tegaderm. The result is that my husband who can't tolerate ordinary bandaids or medical adhesives for more than a few minutes without getting crazy itching and bright red, irritated skin, can were the sensor for 7 to 10 days with little or no trouble.
Avatar m tn The best test is a blood gas which has something to do with the pressure in the 02 in the blood. I have seen patients with 92% 02 with a finger sensor, but being put onto ventilators because their blood gas is so low. I've seen people hallucinating on 90% using a sensor because the brain is seriously short of oxygen due to a bad blood gas reading. It shocked me and I wondered why the finger sensor is used at all.
Avatar n tn my medtronic minimed pump came with a sensor that alerts me when I am having a low blood sugar. After awhile some people can lose the ability to feel a low blood sugar, I know that I have (hence my endo getting me the sensor).
Avatar m tn It measures heart rate using Mio sensor technology to measure your heart rate directly at your wrist, using an optical sensor which detects and counts blood flow pulses at the wrist. I'm just curious whether using this type HR monitor, would display similarly high heart rates during my SVT/AVNRT events.
Avatar f tn I went to the grocery store and checked my blood pressure on a machine. It was 116 over 55. Should I be concerned about the Diastolic pressure?
Avatar f tn I just recently got the MCOT patch sensor and the phone part of it is showing a question mark up at the top next to sensor. I don't know what to do to fix it.
589762 tn?1330207135 Hi Ladies.... Kinda a weird question.... I have a Movement sensor Moniter in Noah's Crib and I have done alot of research on it and really cant find the answers I am looking for and was wondering if you ladies know much about them... I have read the book back and forth and it never tells me a specific answer..... The jist (sp??) of it is that the alarm will sound of baby stops breathing....
Avatar m tn As with an angiogram, they insert a catheter and then thread a wire up to the arteries of the heart, but with a tiny sensor on the tip which measures the pressure of blood around it. It detects the flow rate of blood and pressure, showing the cardiologist the blockages which are affecting the heart. This reduces having unnecessary stents fitted.
Avatar n tn It might be that your pacemaker sensor is set to sensitive. The first place I would start is to decrease the sensor and see if that improves your symptoms. Probably worth mentioning to your doctor to see if they can change the programming.
1294482 tn?1354489288 The doctor that I'm seeing now agrees that IUI and IVF will not work for me. The only reason he says this is because in the past 1 1/2 I've been pregnant 3 times each have been about every 6 months but I'm not able to carry. Even if they were to do IVF and I do get pregnant we haven't found out the exact reason that I keep miscarrying them and he feels I would miscarry so he doesn't want us to waste our money on IVF yet.
1822427 tn?1317309455 They have a tiny sensor on the end of a catheter which measures the flow of blood going past the sensor. ALL cath labs have these but are very rarely used. They guide the tiny sensor to the top of a vessel, say your LAD and take a reading. This is the baseline. If it drops 2 points below that, then you have a problem. So, for example let's say your baseline is 0.9, if it drops to 0.
Avatar n tn My symptoms come and go. I try to monitor it with a Polar chest sensor. The Polar sensor records my heart beat interval in milliseconds and sends the result to an app on my phone. I then convert the beat interval into beats per minute and plot the bpm value against time on an excel chart. I have recorded some interesting patterns.
2194701 tn?1432394206 You might want to get a sensor movement for the crib. It is like as blanket that you put under the sheets, and it will detect if your baby stop moving/breathing and it will activate an alarm. It might give you peace of mind and allow you to get some rest.
Avatar f tn I am not too familiar with blood alcohol, but I would think that maybe you could have been dehydrated and that could have caused the reading. Try drinking more water next time.
Avatar m tn However, ask them to do FFR on the arteries which is a sensor that records blood flow. At first glance it looks as though the 80% blockage is causing all the issues, but it could be the 20%. If you mention FFR to the cardiologist he will know what you mean. If they give the excuse they don't have it, ask for a medical centre which does.
Avatar f tn As for video monitor, I will never use one as baby will be in our room for the first few months, and then his room is right next to ours once he is ready to transition into his own room. I have the standard radio monitor with the motion sensor pads, as my biggest fear is baby will stop breathing during sleep or something like that.
Avatar f tn The syringe is preloaded with a tiny amount of coagulant to stop the blood clotting before testing. The blood is put into a special piece of equipment (blood gas analyser) which measures the partial pressure of Oxygen and Carbon Dioxide. It also tests several other things and a good diagnosis can be gained. This is a more accurate test but is obviously more costly than just placing a finger clip onto a patient.
