2217782 tn?1394363972 I relied on it a lot to get me through tough periods of my life however whilst under the influence of alcohol I have attempted suicide twice. I am a lot better now, been through a lot of counselling and am more content with myself but this is one vicious cycle I would love to break. I realise my problem is not as severe as some others on here, the last thing I want is to come across as being really trivial and offend anyone who really struggles with alcoholism.
Avatar n tn I'm a 19 year old male, no drugs, alcohol, etc. About six months ago after a BM I noticed a lot of blood on the toilet paper. It worried me, but disappeared after a few more BMs. It has happened subsequently about once a month or so and is happening again currently. I've researched internal hemorrhoids and I seem to have similar symptoms, except in every case I've read that it was small amounts of blood rather than the large amounts I've experienced.

Avatar m tn I have been thinking about getting checked for brain aneurysms just to be on the safe side. I am 19 years old and a male and do not have any of the symptoms, but I hear unruptured generally do not produce symptoms. I also have normal blood pressure. Should I even be concerned with this? I am worried it may be a waste of money, time and resources, but I keep finding myself thinking "What If?
8323481 tn?1405705654 Hi everyone, as my previous posts have questioned the use of suboxone, I just wanted to be honest and state that I will not be counting clean time until I am tapered off. Happily, I have been off alcohol since June 10th. But with taking suboxone, and doing research on it, I don't feel clean.
Avatar n tn I would recommend a blood test ASAP. The passing out is of course dangerous, whether it be from low or high blood sugar. At this point, a glucose tolerance test should be done if a fasting blood sugar does not show diabetes. Frequently, hypoglycemics turn into type 2 diabetics as their pancreases continue to work overtime. A change in lifestyle right now might save you or at least slow down the process.
Avatar f tn I am not too familiar with blood alcohol, but I would think that maybe you could have been dehydrated and that could have caused the reading. Try drinking more water next time.
Avatar n tn I forgot to mention that methylcobalamin is the preferred form of vitamin B12. The bioefficacy of one Metanx® tablet can be compared to taking 19 folic acid tablets (1mg each), 2 B12 tablets (1mg each), and 2 B6 tablets (25mg each). Looks good.
Avatar n tn Tachycardia or high pulse rate can be due to low BP, anemia, hyperthyroidism, fever, low blood sugar, anxiety and panic disorder, heart causes like sinus tachycardia and palpitations, alcohol, coffee, effect of certain drugs etc. Though it is very difficult to diagnose a lump without examination, I will try my best to list the possibilities and explain how each lump is diagnosed. In some people the occipital bone at the back of the skull has a protuberance. This is a normal finding.
Avatar f tn t beating and became short of breath with no chest pain. This lasted about 45 sec. I took my blood pressure, it read 101/59 at the time of the cold sweat. I was scared and didn't go the ER because of no chest pain. I am still alive up to now, shold I go tthe ER and chevck to see if there was heart damage or was this a panic/anxiety attack ?
Avatar n tn Hi alcohol can cause low blood sugar levels for some due to its effect on the liver. But even more it can cause those person with diabetes to pay less attention to their health and blood sugars. This does not mean you can never drink alcohol, But it should be taken in moderation only. When you do have a first drink (remember moderation) do it in the company of a trusted friend so you can safely see the effect it has on you.
Avatar m tn Hi, I got some blood test results back from the Doctor. What are the significance of the figures? Are they healthy? Should I continue to stay off alcohol? I'm Hep B immune, Hep C neg, a bit anemic though (RBC 4.8 WBC 10.8 Lymph 1.8). Just asking for general health. Doc said all the blood tests were normal though on the print out some said abnormal (though they are not excessively out of range.
Avatar f tn I'm 19, and not a big alcohol drinker. I have drank in the past but lately when I do drink, I get severe shoulder/upper back muscle pain about 5-15 minutes after the first sip. My upper back tenses, and even massages wouldn't help the pain, I would wait it out. When I Googled my symptom, I noticed posts that stated this was linked to Lymphoma Hodgkins.
Avatar n tn I believe that everyone with Type 1 diabetes needs to be totally aware of what is happening with their blood sugar all the time. Alcohol can inhibit this ability for one thing. Also, the symptoms of too much alcohol and hypoglycemia can be similar and you do not want anyone to confuse a low blood sugar for being drunk as they might not give you the proper treatment. When your blood sugar level starts to drop, your liver steps in.
Avatar m tn Hello, I am a 19 year old male. Around two days go, I drank a lot of alcohol (I drink very rarely, and if I do, it is not much). I felt very drunk and went to the toilet, where I vomited a lot. Unfortunately, no one found me. I was shaking and breathing very heavily and quickly. I was there perhaps an hour or longer, feeling very unwell. When I felt able to stand up, I went home to sleep. When I woke up, I felt well.
Avatar m tn over here in USA that is a VERY HIGH blood alcohol level!3x the normal limit of what is considered legally intoxicated!
Avatar f tn Something really horrible happened to me last month and it’s affecting me now as well...I’m only 19 years old and I have suffer from dysmenorrhea which is why I was prescribed Yasmin as a resolution for my irregular and heavy painful periods. A week into taking it I had horrible anxiety episodes which lasted about 48 hrs and I went hospital and told it was just a panic attack and to go home and relax. I had a withdrawal bleeding 2-3days after and the anxiety continued for another week....
Avatar m tn They are a bit like acne but do not responde to acne treatment but get better with anticeptic cream. I have had lots of blood tests, all have come back within normal ranges apart from Hemoglobin which is over 19. My hemoglobin is always above the normal range for all the blood tests I have had over the last 6 months. I do smoke but not excessively which can be a possible cause. I have started to itch all over especially in my head. I have checked for nits and its not that!
Avatar m tn From the symptoms you describe, it sounds that it could be a circulatory disturbance (due to compression of blood vessels) or a nerve pinched. This may most likely occurs due to any clots in blood vessels, excessive alcohol use or diabetes. I would suggest evaluating all the possibilities with the help of a doctor first. Further referral to a neurologist will surely help you in getting a more precise opinion here. Hope this information proves help you.
