I have a "spot" of pain in my upper right abdomen. It is located to the right of my belly button and slightly above my belly button. It feels better when I apply pressure to it. It has been happening for the last few days. However, it's been constant for almost an hour at this point which is the longest it has ever lasted. I also have a burning pain running above the spot to my breast area that comes and goes. I have irritable bowel syndrome primarly with constipation.
i have excessive gas under upper right quadrant . i feel twitches alwyas in this right quadrant but not sure if it is due to gas or bowel movement. when i expel the gas, it is not a smelling gas in fact. i feel bloating a lot. constipation is also present. what may the reason of such an excessive gas in the right part of abdomen?
I am sorry you have this condition but I have the exact same symptoms.
I suggest you see a doctor and have a liver panel blood test made.
I have not been diagnoised yet but working on it.
My liver enzymes are high - ALT - AST
This is the result on my liver blood work.
My medical doctor says I have an infection in my liver.
Nothing has been confirmed but I will see a gastro doctor next.
This infection has been bothering me for nearly 3 years off and on.
For over 2 months now I've had upper right abdominal/side pain that, at times, radiates up my back, between my shoulders blades and to my upper left abdomen/side. The pain first occured after a week of bloating and a weekend of lower back pain. As soon as my bloating subsided, my lower back hurt and after the pain in my lower back disappeared I started to have the pain in my upper right abdomen/side.
After eating I get SEVERE pressure/pain in the upper right part of my abdomen. I believe this same spot is where my hiatal hernia is located. When I press on it (even lightly) I notice there is a lump there. It is under the skin. It is located about about 4 inches above the naval on the right side of my diaphragm/or below the sternum. Sometimes the pain is so severe I feel I can't breathe and get nauseated. It takes a while for the pressure to let up.
I Started off with allot of bloating and lots of discomfort / pressure in the middle to upper abdomen. I also was having pain around both sides of my kidney area and went around to my lower and mid back. I have had all this disomfort going on for about 3 months now. I am a big guy and i am 43 years of age. I am on lots of medication. Quinaprill, lipitor,medformin, klonopin, prozac, singluair, albuterol inhaler, prilosec.
Also over the past few days it seems that every time I eat, no matter what it is or even if its very light or bland i get horrible upper GI gas and bloating. Now today, the discomfort in my upper abdomen and the upper GI gas is worse than usual. Again, the pain isnt severe or sharp. It feels some what broad. Sometimes in direct center of my upper abdomen, sometimes a bit left or right or across the entire area. Right now, its direct center and a bit more intense than it has been.

They seem most noticeable on my upper left side, and less so on my right side. Whenever they are most noticeable, my abdomen seems hardened in general across the top. Can an individual feel polyps by palpitating their own abdomen? After having a colonic and presumably removing material, I could still feel some of those lumps and the bloating was still evident.
On the upper right just beneath your rib cage is your liver, which is connected to your gall bladder and can cause pain if you have gall stones. Have you been eating fatty foods? That tends to be a trigger for pain, and pain can also appear in other locations, such as the shoulder blades. Google "Gall stones" and see if the symptoms match up, but I do agree with the PA. Really bad gas pain can cause pain right up there by your liver area and radiate into your chest and whole body.
The pain associated with a rumbling appendix is usually restricted to the lower right abdomen, but sometimes shifts or extends to the upper right abdomen. Rumbling appendicitis can be treated, if diagnosed correctly. If feverish symptoms develop, it is essential that the patient is admitted to hospital immediately."
As we all know, a ruptured appendix can be potentially fatal.
So back in July suddenly I noticed my right upper abdomen feels tender and over night I started feeling dizzy and light headedness... The dizziness and light-headedness lasted for about 6 weeks but has luckily subsided.

Do you have any shoulder pain between your shoulder blades or at the top of your shoulder? Upper right abdomen pain? Not that all these symptoms have to be present, but they are on the list, as well as, extreme gas from both ends, indigestion, and heartburn, at least in my case. I would get short of breath also just from being so bloated. Mention gallbladder to your doctor and see what he says.
ve now had a continuous pain in the upper right quadrant of my abdomen, that is also felt in the lower right side of my back and right shoulder for some time. The pain is always there and never goes away. The liver monitoring that I've been taking/fibroscan and ultrasound have not yet revealed any damage or injury to my liver.
I have the same thing too! This fullness/tightness in my upper abdomen. Not really sure what it is. I'm on Dexilant now. Prior to this, I was on Pepcid and Zantac. Both didn't help with this feeling.

I have had an endoscopy that showed gastritis, and I have had a colonoscopy that diagnosed microscopic colitis. I have swallowing problems, some choking, bloating in my upper abdoman under my breasts. I also have GERD/Reflux, and on-going diarrhea problems, generally curtailed by meta-mucil. I take quite a lot of pepto-bismul as well, plus nexium. I do have a weight problem which I am well aware makes these problems worse.
27 year old female with abdominal pain
For the past two years I have had mostly non-radiating pressure pain in upper right abdomen after eating , sometimes after eating too much stabbing pain in my upper right abdomen. I feel fatigue and pain after eating, no diarrhea, no constipation, bloating at end of day, area tender to the touch, some queasiness, worse when I breath deep, lightheaded, laying on right side makes it worse, comes on suddenly and increases throughout the day.
I have been expierencing pain on the lower right side of my abdomen. It started last year and then I started not being able to eat anything apart from vegatables, if i did I would bloat terribly and then have dihera and quite uncomfortable pain under my left rib.. Celiac was ruled out and I was told i had a wheat allergy and therefore IBS. The pain on my right side continued when I sneezed coughed etc etc. A few weeks agao I caught a bug which left me with severe sickness and dihera and a fever.

This with the heightened mental activity cannabis creates, easily leads to anxiety attacks. Because of how much my heart rate increases when smoking cannabis, immediately after smoking I can feel my aorta throbbing in my abdomen!
But since I was experiencing severe bloating and abdominal cramping in my upper right abdomen where the liver is located, I requested for more tests to be completed and that is when they found the gallstones via ultrasound. So I think getting a liver panel completed to check your liver enzymes can tell you whether or not the liver is functioning okay. Many times when there is something wrong with the gallbladder, there is stress put on the liver.
