Common Questions and Answers about Bloating ovarian cyst

gas

Avatar n tn I have had numerous ovarian cysts for approximately 8 years now, but have started having weird pains and bloating. My lower back is in pain along with occasional pain in by lower left abdoment. I have bloating all the time and nothing seems to relieve it. I thought it may be another ruptured cyst, but the bloating and pain hasn't gone away. Is this lower back pain and bloating related to an ovarian cyst?
Avatar n tn This is the Ovarian Cancer Forum. Try the Ovarian Cyst Form to the bottom right of this page. Did you ask your doctor "Why" you are feeling this way? I'd give him a call especially since you are in pain...hope this helps...
Avatar f tn Has anyone on here had an ovarian cyst rupture and abdominal bloating not gone away? Had a cyst ruptured 4 months ago.... abdomen is still huge.... I don't know what to think? Cancer?
Avatar f tn i also have many of those and just found a 5 cm ovaian cyst on my left ovary. some days the bloating makes me look pregnant. the pain is always there and i have had really bad nausea. i had all the symptoms of pregnancy, with a lot of pain. so the gyn did an ultrasound and found the cyst. i also had spotting. good luck at the doc!
Avatar n tn Does anyone know if a 4cm ovarian cyst can cause stomach bloating (upper and lower)? Can a cyst be cancerous?
Avatar n tn The nurse came and told me I had a hemmoragic cyst and ordered a cbc. They gave me an antibiotic and pain killers. My bloating has not gone down at all. I'm very petite so I feel dumb out in public since I look 7 months prego. I'm 28 years old and wasn't too concerned until my stomach has not gone down in size at all. Any suggestions on what to do?? I'm getting pretty nervous. I no longer am in pain, but no downsize of bloating has occured. Thanks!
Avatar n tn For about a year now I have had right sided abd pain off and on. Recently I had to go to ER for abd pain. They removed appendix but it was actually ovarian abcess/cyst. I am seeing a gyno Feb 1 to see what else I can do about this pain I still have from this cyst.
Avatar n tn It is probably unlikely that this cyst is an ovarian cancer and that your hearburn symptoms are related to your cyst, but continued follow up with your gyn is definitely recommended. I've tried to help answer questions as below. 1. What are the chances that this is ovarian cancer? probably low, but you should have continued follow up with your physician to be sure this resolves. 2. What exactly are the "indigestion" symptoms that go along with ovarian cancer?
Avatar f tn I've also had lower back pain
Avatar f tn Gyne did an U/S which showed a 5 cm septated cyst- and is concerned of ovarian cancer due to symptoms. I had a complex ovarian cyst on opposite ovary a year ago, but no symptoms. It resolved on its own within 5-6 months. I'm just worried. I have 2 little girls, and I am a worrier anyways. Any helpful info? They are going to do MRI and bloodwork, then I can either schedule to see a specialist for 2nd opinion/ more info, or have my R overt removed.
Avatar f tn CT scan interpretations, the terms "nodular hypodensity" how does this term give impression of cyst? Obviously, I am concerned with having malignant tumors. Does anyone know if cysts and/or kidney stones could have that effect on WBC count? Any input would be appreciated.
Avatar n tn Hi, I see that your question was transferred to the Ovarian Cyst forum which is good. There is no way to tell if you have an ovarian cyst without testing which usually includes a Transvaginal Ultrasound. Your first order of business would be to see your Dr.
Avatar f tn it got really bad and went to the doctors early in the morning,he gave me pain reliever and diagnozed me with an ovarian cyst. ovarian cyst run in my family and usually ended up cancerous. Is it possible for my cyst to be cancerous?and can you still have sex when you have a cyst? or how long should i wait. and will it harm my partner?
Avatar n tn I am 43, and have been on birth conrtol pills for over a decade. While this is the first ovarian cyst I have had, I have a history of unusual abdominal smooth muscle tumors. A age 29 I had a reroperitoneal leiomyoma, which was also found on physical exam. It was removed by a gyn-oncolcological surgeon becuase of the location/appearance, and was benign. Almost 6 years ago, I had numerous episodes of pain and after 9 months of repeated dr appoinments, ended up in emergency.
Avatar f tn 1- bloating from say a massive ovarian cyst. Do you have irregular period, diagnosed PCOS, or ovarian cysts in your family history? The second thing that comes to mind is pregnancy -is there any theoretical possibility that you're pregnant?
Avatar f tn 5 cm right ovarian cystic lesion, likely complex hemorrhagic cyst with small complex pelvic fluid. Findings may indicate recently ruptured right functional ovarian cyst" My doctor said this was a negative finding and didn't think it was the cause of my problems, but I know this is where the pain is because I felt it when the ultrasonographer was pushing there. Does anyone else have a problem like this and do doctors ever blow it off?
Avatar f tn A small fibroid inside my uterus AND a 6x6 cm left ovarian cyst. I have had left sided discomfort/pain/bloating/frequent urination, etc for 1 week. My trip is in 3 weeks. Unsure when a GYNE can see me/if I'll need surgical intervention. Scared/worried/unsure.
Avatar f tn 4 cm complex right ovarian cyst, likely related to a hemorrhagic follicular cyst. As clinically warranted, a follow-up ultrasound after 2 menstrual cycles may be obtained" They just keep saying to follow up. Should I request surgery or keep waiting? When will this go away? Tired of the bloating and pain.
Avatar f tn I found out I have an ovarian cyst on my right side. Can ovarian cysts cause loose bowels or the feeling to having to go to the bathroom after I eat something or drink coffee or are they 2 separate things? We have started to eat healthier so I'm not eating junk food. But I find that when I eat something, my right side aches and the feeling of having to go to the bathroom happens. Anyone experience this or have any answers?? Thanks!
Avatar f tn Ovarian cysts are fluid-filled sacs that form in the ovaries and are common during the childbearing years. Symptoms of ovarian cysts include pain or bloating in the abdomen, difficulty or frequent urinating, dull ache in the lower back, painful menstruation and abnormal bleeding, nausea or vomiting and loss of appetite. If the the cyst has ruptured, severe pain and possible bleeding internally may be observed.
Avatar n tn The bleeding is definitely of concern. Bowel and urine and pain and bloating are all common cyst symptoms. When is your surgery scheduled? there are a lot of questions you need to ask and a 2nd opinion might be valuable.
Avatar f tn I had on-going similar symptoms (pelvic pain, brown discharge, lower back pain, bloating) and I had a large benign ovarian cyst. This was found by my doctor who I went to for abdominal pain and she noticed my stomach felt very full. Ultrasound revealed cyst. Surgery was required.
Avatar f tn Hello, after being in the ER on Monday and have a CT scan done on my stomach, I was told that I have ovarian cyst, I believe on my left ovary where this is where I feel pain...I am going to my ob-gyn tomorrow since the ER doctors did not tell me much. Anyway, I have been bloating severely off and on, but more on than off!! I also noticed that I cannot make a bowel movement or pass gas that great as I have been able to before because when I do I have pressure.
