If you cant get feliway, try rubbing the kitten with a soft cloth, make sure to wipe her scent areas (jaw, top of head, base of tail) then when pika comes home, hide the kitten, feed pika and then rub him with the same cloth, too. then go back and rub the kitten with the same cloth.again. this helps to transfer the scents and make them smell more alike like family. if Pika isnt feeling too well, he might be extra grumpy, but give them more time too work it out.

One of the kittens (the one less sick) if now about noraml size for a healthy kitten. The other still has her super fat tummy but her neck and her legs are still really thin. I still don't have enough money to bring her to the vet (I am saving up though) and I don't know what to do.

Do not let your kitten outside. Is the kitten a male or a female kitten? I assume you brought the kitten to a vet to be vaccinated ? You should have a litter box for the kitten. What part of the kitten's body did the dog bite ? Did the bite break the kitten's skin ? I am sure other people on the cat forum will give their opinions and suggestions too. The cat also will hiss and hit the kitten with her paw if she walks by sometimes and the kitten will always run after the cat anytime it moves. Take your kitten to a veterinarian soon. At this young age the kitten can be helped. Don't give any pain medication because the kitten is way too young and aspirin will kill the kitten.

I agree with babygirlhawks. I would take this kitten back to your vet for further help. Tell the vet that the kitten is not keeping any meals down. If the kitten is stumbling etc. there must be a reason. This kitty needs more help from the vet. Seven weeks is of course less than 2 months.

Well my grandmother just called me from Moscow,Russia asking me to find an answer to her question....Her 5 month old Persian kitten was acting completely fine on Saturday,March 13th.....And then on Sunday she said the cat puked out some white foam and white goo,and didn't get up all day long...My grandmother doesn't have a way of getting to a vet,neither does she have the money...The kitten was a present to her from an old friend...

KMS is the ideal kitten formula for newborns and young kittens, MOst petstores and of course the vets, and perhaps even vets offices would have the kitten formula. There are also many cat rescue groups and animal sheters that also have kitten and puppy formulas. Where did your husband find the kitten? Was it out all by itself, or in an area where the mom could have left it as if moving it?

found a kitten it's been hit by car. Been giving antibiotics. Don't know what to do about front leg it's broken,bone is sticking out & open wound. It was a lot worse. should I wrap it or leave it open?

You need to get this kitten to the vet, clearly it has some sort of brain injury.

Living with the kitten for a month with no neurological symptoms in the kitten and I would say there is no risk. It is exceptionally rare very young mammals to have rabies as they often die quickly if they do get it. Plus because they just haven't been alive and around for very long the chances of being exposed is so unlikely. I would however be concerned about infection. Hopefully you cleaned the wound really good with soap and are keeping it clean.

If you have a no-kill shelter near you please surrender the kitten there since they have access to veterinary care. This kitten is probably inundated with parasites, and probably hypoglycemia and needs supervised medical care. If a no-kill shelter is not available please try to find the next best thing. You don't mention the kitten's age, but a very young kitten's digestive system may be too immature to handle cat food.

Thank you, FM, that was just adorable! I watched it twice! I'm not sure, but I think you can hear the kitten purring. So sweet how the kitten like petted the dogs arm, then later the dog did the same thing back. Oh, I could go on and on...

You might have luck with putting the kitten formula in a doll bottle and see if she will suck on it. If she is only 2 wks old you will have to feed her every couple of hrs around the clock. Good luck with your endeavor.

I am not sure you should be giving a young kitten such a strong antibiotic...yes it is 5mg per lb....but does the kitten even weight a full pound? I doubt it at 12 weeks old. this is a systemic penicillin and has potential to produce serious even fatal allergic reactions...please consult a Vet before giving any medications to a cat esp a kitten..

My kitten is almost 6weeks old and everything was good, she is a very cheerful little gal. My kitten was running and playing around the house with it's siblings. All of a sudden, my mom opened a door and ended up hitting, my girl kitten in the head. I was very scared because she ended up figitting and her tail was clenched under her body and her head was tilting side to side and back and forth. It was horrible for me to see.

no cost 2 me, what i want 2 know is is my other cat going 2 get as bad as this kitten? we had kitten in corentine for 5 days at the shelter, and when i got him back even tho he has been on his meds 5 days he sounded like crap! Is that normal? can humans get this uri??....what can i do 2 help these guys at home besides the meds they r on?

Hi my new kitten is more lively than any kitten I've owned or even seen! She climbs my legs (with claws), and most disturbing she's chewing on paper! She has lots of toys, and I make a point of having play time with her when I get up in the morning and when I get back from work. I leave out dry kitten food for her (she's eating well) and water. I brought her home she was just over 2 mons old. I have no other pets.
