Bloating constipation weight gain

Common Questions and Answers about Bloating constipation weight gain

gas

Avatar f tn I experienced the same at 5 weeks (I'm at 6 now). It's probably just bloating, which I read is common. Mine fit fine this week :) As long as you don't overeat and eat (mostly) healthy, you shouldn't need to worry about it.
Avatar f tn This is my third, and I'm bloated and retaining water.. I'm 7 1/2 weeks and my scale shows I've gained 3-4 pounds total.
Avatar f tn Is it actual weight or just size? If size, I feel like I started showing at 10 Weeks... If actual weight, it would definitely be worth mentioning to your doctor to head off future issues. I'd be sure out watch your salt intake because that can't help.
Avatar n tn Then I would say with those symptoms of weight gain unable to lose and if you mean constipation by irregular bowel movements, and feeling tired- definitely get your thyroid function checked because those can be symptoms of hypothyroidism (sluggish thyroid function) which can be treated if that's what you have! What did your doctor base your diagnosis of acid reflux on? Did he look down your throat? Did he look at your esophagus?

Avatar f tn Is it just one Dr saying the bloating is nothing? Yes, some women can gain weight after this surgery, that's true. But to have bloating this long sounds like something else may be going on. Can I ask if you're having any other symptoms, like bowel problems, constipation, any thing you can think of? If it is just the one Dr saying this then If I were you I would get a second opinion. I had the same kind of surgery as you and bounced back very fast with no problems at all. I loved my Dr.
Avatar f tn I cannot comment about the weight gain but I can tell you that I had the GERD/constipation/diarrhea/pain/bloating/ etc. for YEARS, went through many unnecessary tests and in the end it turned out to be a dairy allergy! I quit all dairy for a few months (was much better within a few weeks) and then slowly added low-fat dairy products and non-aged cheese and now I hardly ever feel any G.I. distress.
10298511 tn?1414504869 Okay so my thing says above normal weight gain but I mean with the constipation and bloating idk if thats true because most of my stuff stays in my system unless it comes out through morning sickness. Should I be worried about my excessive weight gain? .
329994 tn?1301663248 My symptoms have been the extreme bloating, feeling full quickly, weight gain, constipation, urinary problems. I have been going to this gastro doctor for almost a year and he cannot find out what is wrong. Thanks for answering the post!
1629610 tn?1330929011 As for the bloating, try to reduce your sodium intake.. as for the weight gain, that's okay... just eat small healthy snack throughout the day... as you said you're doing.. stick to fruit and veggies as they contain a lot of water... but, I wouldn't be too worried.. If your Dr isn't concerned... I wouldn't be either!
Avatar f tn It's possible, but your symptoms don't tell anything. If you only ovulated 8 days ago, you definitely would not have any weight gain/or loss due to pregnancy. If the symptoms were due to pregnancy, then it means it's not too early to test as the hCG would be more than high enough in your body.
Avatar f tn Is mostly bloating around that time i think the usual weight gain for 1st trimester weeks 4-13 is 5-6 lbs
Avatar f tn Very common in first trimester. Weight gain at that time is typically due to bloating, water retention and constipation, so it's not unusual to have your tummy actually get smaller. Soon enough you will be gaining "baby weight" instead of bloated weight.
Avatar f tn Im freaking out!! I am only 9 wks 4 days and I have already gained 10 lbs. Thats seems like alot to me...and my eating habits are no different than they were before I got pregnant. What is wrong????
Avatar f tn You usually gain weight because you start eating more and the baby starts to grow. Have you been eating more?
Avatar f tn Like they said its just bloating .. I went a month in the beginning and didn't gain weight but I felt huge!
Avatar n tn I seem fatter and my stomach is bulging and theres so much gas, no weight gain tho, a little weight loss 1-2 kg. I dont know whats wrong, i feel so ful and bloated especially after meals. any ideas?
Avatar f tn First, a little background: my gastroenterologist diagnosed me with IBS when I was about 16-17 (I'm 21 now), although he didn't do any particular tests. I used to have stomach aches, gas, bloating, and almost exclusively constipation. Every once in a while, I do get diarrhea, but that's pretty rare. Now, I don't usually get that many stomach aches, but I still have the bloating and sometimes gas (depending on what I eat).
Avatar f tn I have been on Wellbutrin for about five years now and while it does help with depression, I have noticed tight stomach, horrible gross gas, acid reflux, constipation and 15 lb weight gain. I went off a couple of years ago and of course list the fifteen pounds of belly I had been carrying and digestive issues ceased. Doctors have always a tried to tell me it’s my diet, not the meds, but happened regardless of what I ate, how I exercised (and constant bloated feeling made that difficult). Well.
Avatar f tn The more likely possibility is that you are still hypothyroid, with resultant effect on your metabolism. Do you have other symptoms that could relate to being hypothyroid, such as the 26 typical hypo symptoms in this link. http://endocrine-system.emedtv.com/hypothyroidism/hypothyroidism-symptoms-and-signs.html If you will post your thyroid test results members will be able to assess the adequacy of your testing and treatment.
