gas

Avatar f tn I found that when the bloating first starts, if I got up and walked I could release some the gas and get relief. Good luck with this and keep us posted!
Avatar f tn Not sure if u ladies have experienced this but how have you dealt with constipation/bloating? I have tried colace, prune juice, now adding mucilax(spelling wrong) seems to not help. I have heard most laxatives aren't safe since it can cause miscarriage or pre term labor. Can you give yourself an enema or is that not good either? Very uncomfortable feeling. Any advice???

Avatar f tn Physical symptoms such as bloating, abdominal cramps, constipation, swelling or tenderness in the breasts, cyclic acne, and joint or muscle pain have been associated with menstrual cycle. Hormone change during this time plays an important role and symptoms usually resolve when hormones stabilizes. Over-the-counter pain medications, warm compress and rest may help provide relief. However, if the abdominal pain persists, check with your doctor to rule out other causes.
Avatar n tn I eat mostly fruit, fiber vegatbles, and dairy product such as yogurt to help me with my constipation problems. I also avoid bloating related foods such as beans and caffeine. Bloating could be related to constipation, but every since I changed by diet to high fiber, my bloating and hard stomach has not gone away at all. After I eat, my stomach hurts and extends. Even when I don;t eat, my bloating stomach sticks out and looks preganant, which I am not.
Avatar f tn Hi, valium is known to cause constipation. Its unlikely that valium is causing relief from your symptoms of bloating or edema. Its more likely that you are avoiding food which aggravates your symptoms and hence the relief. So, maintain a diary and note down your symptoms, this may help to monitor if the medication or food is providing relief. But good you are doing well. Regards.
Avatar f tn m just wondering if you can help me or if you can recommend anything. I have 1 bowel movement in a 2 week period. I have tenderness in my stomach. Bloating. Bad lower back pain (doctor had me get an xray it came back normal). My doctor recommended (1) 100mg stool softner and (2) 8.6mg natural vegetable laxative daily. When I do this, it works but I'm constantly up at weird hours of the night with bad cramps and a lot of sweating (my pillow and sheets are wet) before I have a movement.
Avatar f tn I’ve been having massive bloating mainly after meals and at night which doesn’t go away until morning. Massive constipation with just little here and there. My anxiety adds on to the bloating which makes my stomach tighten up and I can hardly breathe. Gets worse when I go outside. Certain smells make me feel sick and I thought I had to throw up twice today. I was on antibiotics and Tylenol 3 a few weeks ago for some tooth issues and I’m on anxiety and acid reflux meds.
Avatar f tn I'm 6 weeks pregnant I had some cramps bloating a lil constipation a lil hungrier than usual and gassy..but today I'm not feeling too much of anything...is that normal?

Avatar n tn Hello, It all began about a week and half ago when I woke up feeling "bloated with gas" in the morning. Eventually, I had a diarrhea in the morning in between my lectures(I'm a uni student). Throughout the day and the next day, after every meal, I would feel a burning painful sensation not at my upper stomach, but around my abdominal area. Lying down tends to ease the pain significantly. I took some ranitidine tablets(suspecting it to be too much acid) but no help.
Avatar m tn I have been suffering with bloating, abdominal pain, gas, stomach aces, and constipation for about 4 years. I have been to 2 different GI doctors and my recent one is the one that diagnosed me. My question is does anyone have a solution for the pain? I can deal with the bloating but the stomach pains are becoming unbearable. My doctor prescribed me some medication but it was not covered by my insurance. This issue is really starting to interfere with my daily activities such as work.
1396846 tn?1332459510 And that is worse than the constipation. Get your immediate relief and then focus on what you can do differently with your diet that might help. Once you find a good combination, stick iwth it and don't stop. My magic combo is my morning steel cut oatmeal, mixed with walnuts, raisins and cinnamon. I hope you get some relief soon.
Avatar n tn Does anyone have any tips for bloating and constipation?
Avatar n tn I have tried "Miralax", still have severe constipation. I may have a bowel movement twice a week, sometimes once; I have even gone longer without a few times, but it varies. I am a low does of one 25 (micrograms or something or rather) fentanyl patch every three days, and a norcco prescription that I take a few times a week if I have worsened pain. Background: I had a trauma accident years ago, much emergency surgery, alot having to do with my abdomen and internal bleeding.
Avatar f tn My prenatal vitamin has a laxitive in it, but just started taking them. I already have morning sickness and I believe the constipation is adding to it, not to mention painful bloating. Hope someone can help who's had the same problems.
Avatar n tn I still use Fibercon daily because I have irritable bowel (constipation) and it works so much better for me than Metamucil (which gave me gas and bloating. Citrucel caused gas/bloating too). I sometimes use the store brands that have the same ingredients as Fibercon since they are a lot less expensive. Hope this helps.
Avatar f tn Lately, when I attempt to quit, cold turkey, the only thing that relieves constipation, gas, bloating is to smoke again. Smoking provides immediate relief and over the counter meds or diet/exercise changes do not seem to work. Does it just take many months for the Nicotine to leave the system and for gas symptoms to stop? Do I just need to stick it out longer?
Avatar f tn Today along with my flare symptoms (lots of bleeding, constipation, bloating, abdominal pain, fatigue, dry mouth, occasional nausea) I have the chills with a very low grade fever and my fatigue is worse than normal. Is this normal after starting Humira? What do others do to manage all of these symptoms?
Avatar m tn The most common symptoms of irritable bowel syndrome are bloating, gas, diarrhea, constipation and stomach pain. It is best to see a doctor and get evaluated again. You may need more investigations to rule out above mentioned possibilities. Do seek medical help. Write to me again. Best luck and take care!
