Avatar f tn Hello, I am experiencing bleeding between periods with cramps similar to menstruation cramps. I am in the middle of my cycle and according to my cycles I am ovulating these couple of days. The bleeding started one day before the day of assumed ovulation and two days after that day I am still bleeding and have cramps. So, could this be associated with the ovulation? I have problems of every kind when it comes to female organs - polycystic ovary, endometriosis...

Avatar m tn Hi everyone, I'm 27 years old, I've never had kids or have been pregnant or on birth control. I've started randomly bleeding between periods about 1.5 years ago. At first it started as just a strand of blood in my otherwise normal discharge, then I started having blood tinged discharge after exercise and after orgasm (no penetration). Since about year ago, it's gotten progressively worse to wear I'm bleeding in between every period. I've had SO many tests done and they've all come back negative.
Avatar n tn I do have a cyst on my left ovary associated with pcos. I'm am on metformin. I know they cause irregular bleeding. What I don't understand is why I am spotting the same time every month. I've read it could have alot to do with the changes in hormones. I've also heard some people spotting just before or during ovulation.
Avatar f tn My period lasts from 10-14 days with only 14-17 days in between, the bleeding is VERY heavy. I have previously tried birth control to regulate and control the bleeding but none of them worked. One made it last for 5 months. I have been diagnosed with anemia every time I have a blood draw. Is this normal? If not, what might it be a sign of?
900457 tn?1266786289 Multiple small ovarian cysts and enlarged ovaries is one symptom of PCOS, which I do not have. PCOS also comes with many other symptoms due to multiple hormone imbalances, such as irregular or no periods, infertility, acne, hair growth, obesity, insulin resistance.
Avatar f tn Reduced menstrual cycles than normal or complete lack of having any cycles. Some can have monthly cycles but not actually be ovulating. Heavy bleeding during your period, and spotting in between cycles. Hair loss on your scalp Excess hair growth on your body such as your face, chest, back, stomach, thumbs, or toes. Acne and oily skin Weight gain that is mostly gained around your midsection. Miscarriage and infertility Insulin resistance.
560272 tn?1311353893 I know PCOS can cause irregular bleeding, but does it cause it to be bright red and watery? 3. Can PCOS cause broad temp ranges daily? Like in the morning it is 98.0 but by evening it is 99.5? 4. Can it cause no defined period, just sporadic bleeding here and there all month? 5. Can women who have had children develop PCOS?
Avatar m tn Irregular periods and heavy bleeding could be a sign of PCOS.
823438 tn?1238594823 I have been to the doctor and had the ultrasounds done to look into the whole PCOS thing, but from my research, PCOS cause light periods when they do come. not the ones that last nearly 3 weeks and still going.
1434731 tn?1382725984 Well I have read and heard about doing this but I'm **** it my own way. Pcos diet is basically eat a big breakfast, medium lunch and small dinner. I am doing that but I'm doing it like this. Larger breakfast with carbs Medium lunch with light to no carbs Small dinner with no or very little (cuz sometimes you can avoid it) carbs. I like the low carb diet but its to hard to do living with my pizza and carb loving hubby!
Avatar n tn Though I have never officially been diagnosed with PCOS, my dr. feels very strongly that I do have it. Allow me to give a brief synopsis of my situation/health. My husband and I have been TTC for a year now, and I have been on Metformin for 5 months. I was on birth control pills for 6 years and stopped one year ago. First three menstrual cycles were normal (heavy) 28 days for me. Then I went 5 months with hardly anything.
634745 tn?1256847910 I've read that it could mean you are fertile or it could mean a shift in hormones. I know women with pcos have experienced irregular bleeding, but the same time each month?
Avatar n tn The labs point towards PCOS but the frequent periods do not. The absence of cysts does not rule out PCOS. If the thyroid levels are normal, it's not likely a thyroid problem or Hashimoto's -- to cause these symptoms (even w/ hashi) would usually see abnormal TSH levels. It takes 3-6 months for metformin to have an effect on periods -- may take more time.
Avatar f tn I get my periods on time about every month on the same date or around the last mentrual date . But the bleeding has declined alot. My periods only stay for 2 days and stop after the 2nd day. I have minor spotting for 4-5 days after my periods and it's brown in color.
Avatar f tn Going through medical history I again brought up not having regular periods. She asked me a couple questions and immediately ordered blood work. She diagnosed me with PCOS. She put me on a blood pressure medication because it was a little high. Once we got that under control she put me on Yaz. That was 4 months ago, I am now having regular periods. The only thing that stumped my doctor was that PCOS is usually found when the woman is much younger.
Avatar n tn I also suffer with PCOS. I have been trying to research PCOS & HCG. I have been blessed with children and I have had my tubes tied. However, I still suffer from all the symptoms of PCOS. Including, obesity, hair growth, ect. I am anxious to try the hcg protocol. Please keep me posted of any new discoveries you make. I will do the same.
1852119 tn?1319472108 I have PCOS, Diagnosed 2004 aged 18. I am not on any meds and I am NOT TCC. My periods have always been a bit all over the place but recently since April/May I am having dark brown vaginal discharge then bleeding for a few days every month. Nothing extremely heavy or painful but medium flow I would say and some cramping.
Avatar n tn In the last 2 yrs since all my pap test results have been perfect. I have ALWAYS had irregular periods. I average between 6 to 8 periods a yr. I took the pill from 2001 until 2003 (just over 2 years). During those years my period was regular. Last year August I stopped taking the pill as we started trying to have a baby. Since then I have had 7 periods. The cycles have ranged from 52 to 73 days.. In Feb my doc suggested I start keeping a BBT chart to see if I was ovulating.
Avatar n tn I am 5’2 weigh 94 lbs (have always been this weight) and started my periods at age of 12. I had a 28 day cycle and normal bleeding 7-8 days. When I was around 20yo I noticed that I had increased hair on my chest, between the breasts. I did not have any chin, cheek hair. I have a light moustache and hair down the inside of my thighs (my family is pretty hirsuit) At the age of 24 I went to an endocrinologist and she tested me for PCOD.

Avatar f tn I have PCO's which is responsible for my acne and my periods normally always being late between 28 days and 35 . A few periods ago I was 5 weeks late for my period and was sick and feverish until it arrived. I have never felt so ill in my life like I did during that period. Even my doctor was worried and wanted to send me for a acan. I recently had the last period 5 days early with heavy bleeding and cramping pain. Then again this month 1 day early.
342647 tn?1291111533 I stopped taking the pill when it said and started on the sugar tabs but unlike between my two babies and before i was pregnant when i would get my period within the first 2 days of taking the surgar tabs it took nearly 5 days to get my period and then it only lasted two days with only one being heavy. I had a lot of cramping and the usual leading up to the period but the actual bleeding only lasted for such a short time.
2020005 tn?1476662562 I saw my gynecologist yesterday about irregular periods and bleeding. Last month I only had brown spotting for 4-5 days, this month stopped my period and 3 days later, started right back up. I'll work out, and bleed after, have sex, bleed after. I finally had enough. I call my OB and discuss the issue, he says my birth control pills have been ineffective for me AGAIN - we switched pills about 5-6 months ago as well because they were ineffective for my body - and he's trying a new pill.
Avatar f tn Is an abnormal period always the case when having pcos? if so, my periods come like clockwork every 28th day so I don't understand. Sorry for giving you so much, but this is all new to me. I also wonder about the clomid meds and whether they worked for anyone with pcos? All insight is greatly appreciated.
Avatar f tn I am 19 and was diagnosed with PCOS a year ago. I have read some other peoples views on this site and I dont know how you brave women can cope with it. Im sitting here crying right now as I type. Im obese and have been suffering from despression since i was 15-16 due to people bullying me about my weight. I havent talked to anyone that I usually have outbursts and cry on my own at night as I feel all my underlying problems are getting on top of me. I used to weight 21.
Avatar f tn Could be Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS). In any case, she needs to see her gyn.
614707 tn?1224235834 I also have many occurances of spotting between periods, which lately have turned into full periods. If anyone has any ideas or has had anything similar to this it would be a great help to hear about it!
Avatar f tn Hello, First of all it can be due to metrorrhagia which causes uterine bleeding at irregular intervals, particularly between the expected menstrual periods. Metrorrhagia can occur due to dysfunction uterine bleeding, hormonal imbalance, polyps, fibroids, endometriosis, infections of the cervix, vagina or endometrium, pelvic inflammatory disease, ovarian insufficiency, ovarian cysts or benign lesions of the female reproductive system.
