Bleeding between periods on seasonique

Common Questions and Answers about Bleeding between periods on seasonique

period

Avatar f tn I've only been taking seasonique for 7 weeks today. The slip I got with the pills said to take the 1st pill on the Sunday after you start your period, even if you are still bleeding. I did that and sense than I haven't stopped bleeding. It's going on 8 weeks of continuous bleeding. Some days its light, some days its..not so light. So i guess my question is have anybody else experienced this long of bleeding after starting seasonique?
Avatar n tn Not really a question - more sharing my personal experience with Seasonique. I've read so many terrible things, I was afraid to take it -- so, I wanted to say -- I am NOT having any bad experiences. I'm in week 5 -- so far so good. I was on Yaz for about 2 years -- didn't have any problems. Decided to switch to Seasonique for the convenience of few periods. I'm actually thinking I'm feeling somewhat better on a daily basis (then taking Yaz).
Avatar f tn Both my daughters (15 and 17) want to go on Seasonique....neither are sexually active, but have heavy periods. Any advise.
1699847 tn?1306967171 I have been on the pill for years now. I am currently on Ortho-tri-cyclen-lo and I am thinking about switching to Seasonique so I won't get 12 periods a year. I want to be on a pill that won't make me gain weight or give me major acne. Any tips/help.
Avatar n tn Can Seasonique cause cystitis? I started having cystitis-like symptoms shortly after I started taking Seasonique. My urologist wants to perform a distenstion of the bladder, but I read that Seasonique can cause cystitis like symptoms. I would rather switch pills than have the distention. He did not make the correlation between the new pill and the new symptoms.
Avatar f tn Okay, I'm on seasonique birth control because I have very heavy and irregular periods with cramps. It comes with three one month pill packs and then a week of yellow pills, which I read on their site says that's when you get your period. It says you'll have it for 2-3 days and it's light and/or spotting only. It's tuesday and I've been taking the yellow pills on schedule since Sunday and I still don't have any bleeding.
Avatar f tn I would contact your doctor about the heavy bleeding for so long I would also switch pads to something else and try to put some kind of rash cream on the inflamed areas
Avatar f tn Since 2nd Jan I have been spotting, started with brown spots and now there is full on bleeding. Not heavy but light bleeding. I called my doc and she said she will increase my dosage but I just went through a zillion viral and bacterial infections and I was scared to make a shift now (lest I fall sick again - given that I have an active toddler I cannot afford bed rest) . I let my gyn know that I would like to continue the pills and finish my third month before a dosage change.
581544 tn?1217989807 I've been on the birthcontrol seasonique but I stopped taking my pills to have my period...its been 5 days....and nothin yet..no bleeding or cramping or anything...
Avatar n tn I dont think the generic version is any different from the actual Seasonique. I am on Seasonique and am now on my second three month pack. I started breakthrough bleeding/spotting roughly into my third week of the first pack and pretty much have been bleeding since, (so a little over two months) It has been annoying to say the least, because in this whole time, I have maybe COMPLETELY stopped bleeding for 2-3 days.
Avatar f tn Can you get pregnant on seasonique? the doc told me it keeps my body from producing an egg and gives me a false period......
Avatar f tn Okay so Im on Seasonique birth control. Been on it for a few years now. I take one pill daily for three months and then you're supposed to take the last 7 sugar pills. I've never done that. I've just went straight to the next pack of birth control without taking that 7 day break. I usually have a period 2 weeks before I finish my 3rd month of pills. My periods starts off blackish brown and then eventually turns red and goes to brown and red back and forth.
Avatar f tn I ended up doing some research on it and found that seasonique had many negative posts from users. I also had seen a few posts that said family members ended up developing tumors in the brain and all these other crazy side effects. I decided to stop taking it and tried a few other types of birth control before I found the one for me. I tried depo but I gained tons of weight so I stopped that, then I tried Mirena but it was very uncomfortable.
Avatar n tn I was on the pill and I started some breakthrough bleeding on February 13th, however my loved one was coming up for Valentines day so, wanting to stop bleeding, I took extra birth control. (Probably NOT a good idea?) Well something worked and I stopped bleeding. However, I then got scared and curious if my body needed to bleed and so once he left i stopped taking my birth control, as to force a period... well no period came.
Avatar f tn I had the implanon birthcontrol for about 6 months didnt like it so had it removed 2 weeks later i started taking lo seasonique my doctor told me i would have break through bleeding but i never did im on my second week now and still nothing is this normal? could i possibly be pregnant? im feeling very nauseated but im thinking its from the birthcontrol.. just was courious if it waas normal...
Avatar f tn Hi, I recently found out that my mom is bleeding between periods and she hasn't gone to the doctor about it yet. It has been going on for over a year now and it usually lasts up to a few days between her periods. My mom is turning 44 and is generally in good health. I'm worried about her as she refuses to go to the doctor. Please help!!
Avatar f tn Does anyone know when I should count/expect my next period cos if its from the first bleed I'm late!!! If the second I'm not!?
Avatar n tn I googled what it could mean to be bleeding in between and found that implantation bleeding usually occurs 4 weeks after conception and it's been exactly 4 weeks since I had sex = /
Avatar f tn I am taking seasonique and when i was on my 6/7 th wk I started bleeding for three wks. And then I never had my period on the blue pills. Now on my second pack and it's my 7 th wk and I'm spotting again. What could this be and is this normal?
Avatar m tn I am a 42 yr old that had a STROKE after taking Seasonique for 2 months. After having 2 children I began have very heavy periods and cramping. My doctor prescribed me Seasonique. Within 2 weeks of starting Seasonique, I had horrible headaches, cramps, and a period. It finally got better. But now I am still trying to rebuild my life after the stroke. I have had 1 doctor tell me that I was because of my birth control and 1 that said they were unsure.
