130265 tn?1450986981 What is the main difference between spotting and light bleeding? I don't know what it is that I'm experiencing, and for me to define the difference would help. I don't have insurance so I can't go to the OB, and it costs $125 for bloodwork. The pink and brown stuff is only there when I wipe. This has been going on for 8 out of the last 9 days. It comes and goes. My period isn't due at least until this friday, and this started last monday. Light cramping, high temps. Coverline is 96.
Avatar n tn I did not have my period for about 15wks and then was bleeding for an entire month. My first few periods after that were extremely heavy and painful. Then right after that I got pregnant (so that would be about 5months after). I was soo excited but had a miscarriage at about 5/6 wks. It was devastating. I wracked by brain trying to come up with reasons why this happened since no one in my family has had trouble conceiving. The only thing I could come up with is the depo.
140437 tn?1215113342 -yes bleeding between your periods could represent irregular hormone secretion. that is if you are not ovulating each month, your ovary will produce estrogen but it will not produce the second female hormone, progesterone. In that case, the lining of your uterus - the endometrium- gets extra stimulation and when you bleed, the bleeding is for a longer time. - if you have a change in your thyroid function, that can impact your cycles.
Avatar n tn I have two kids and I do not want anymore kids. I also have irregular bleeding and spotting between cycles. I am wondering if anyone had the tubal ligation with this procedure. What was the recovery period like? Wondering if I should have the ablation only?
Avatar n tn I have always had regular Menstrual cycles right from my periods beginning when I was 11. I really need some advice and any input would be helpful. I had a period on the 7th November and had sex twice inbetween the 14th and the 21st of November. I then had a bleed on the 25th November that was not like a normal period, it was like I was losing old blood and was a lot lighter and only lasted a few days. I have not had a period since.
Avatar n tn I to have the same bleeding after sex and somtimes during a bowel movement.
Avatar f tn i have a lump in my right lower abdomen. it was the size of a almond when i first noticed it about 3 months ago. it is now about the size of an orange. there is no pain when i press it, but it does twinge now & again. i feel a heaviness/pressure in the area it is. at night i have aching hips & legs which can wake me/keep me awake. i also have back pain but this is not constant. 10 weeks ago i had servere pain just above my pubic bone which woke me from my sleep.
Avatar n tn hi i am first time here, My LMP was on 17sept 2011, my periods are queit regular according to my calculation i should be 6 weeks but before 10days i had a visit to my gynec she did an abdominal scan and she told that there is a small sac but very small, and told me to repeat the scan after 10days..so yestday we wnt and had a vaginal scan, in that scan it is showing only a 5weeks 3days sac nothing else, so she told me to wait another 1week , as i had a miscarge few months ago i was very tensed..

Avatar n tn Okay listen i dont mean to sound rude or anything but whats with all these women saying they have had friends that have had normal periods during thier pregnancy? Do you have any idea what a period is? its the shedding of the inner wall of your uterus. if u were pregnant than the baby would not be able to survive this.
Avatar m tn This angle assumes that you are talking about periods of rapid beats. Offhand, I can't think of an obvious connection between arrhythmia and cancer. Your weight loss might have brought about a mineral deficiency.... maybe.
147426 tn?1317269232 The person with this relapsing SPMS will still notice periods where symptoms suddenly appear or worsen, but in between these relapses they notice that other problems are still sliding downhill. As an example, they may now have an onset of severe vertigo, but the old leg weakness slowly worsens so that they need more rests, then a cane, then a wheelchair for longer walks and finally a wheelchair most of the time.

Avatar n tn My doctor had me on modified bedrest and pelvic rest until I had no bleeding/spotting for an entire 30 days. I started bleeding at five weeks. I bled every day, nonstop, with lots of clots until 13 weeks. Well, I did have a break at 11 weeks for about a week and then I bled and passed clots again. At 13 weeks the bleeding finally stopped. It was a relief and we had no answers.
570184 tn?1257547992 I am hoping I can have a scan, but I doubt they will give me one before 12 wks. I don't know whether you're in england but the NHS is rubbish, I will go private if they don't give me the support I need. Fingers crossed!!
Avatar f tn I'm 20 years old and I had the Mirena fitted about 18 months ago due to heavy, long, agonising periods (7/8 pads a day, 5 weeks if not more bleeding at a time with only a few days in between [caused me to become anaemic] and symptoms so bad and painful it was affecting my education and my everyday life) due to Polycystic ovarian syndrome. I had tried everything else first (all the pills, losing weight) and nothing else had worked.
Avatar n tn I have tried for four months after removal and had period cramping for most of the time between my periods after removal. I was concerned that the IUD had affected my fertility. I just found out that my fourth try was a success!! I think the cramping I was having was my uteris trying to get back to normal after having a hormone in there. My advice is to wait three months before trying to get pregnant, if you can. Good Luck!
Avatar f tn To me there is a diffference between head pain where your whole head hurts to touch and a 24/7 headache (sometimes cluster headaches). I dont know what to say about recovery time abd what to expect. I wasnt told anything so I am learning as I go. Sometimes my speech is either slow (when I cant remember the words) or I stammer. I cant concentrate, and still get dizzy or off balance. I cant walk toofast for fear of falling over.
1310814 tn?1310658501 Ok Ladies Im CD9 today!!! Here comes the BD stage;) Im torn between bd everyother day! My doctor told me just to do it everyother day and that should cover my basis, she said doing it more than that does not give it enough time to build up good healthy sperm! So last month we did it every other day and when my monitor read peak we did it that day and the next 5 days to cover our bases! well no preggo from that method so i dunno what to do. when you get that peak you just want to do it to it!!
Avatar n tn I have gained about 30 lbs, but had normal periods, only slightly heavier. Abdominal pain has worsened in the last month, noticibly when I eat. It's like something between an "internal bee sting" and an itch, it's hard to explain it's been mostly annoying until now. Then, about three weeks ago, just before my last period, I found that I was having some constipation. Lately I've been feeling more pain symptoms (back, hips especially) when my intestines feel full.
Avatar n tn Also, there could be another culprit for "some" of you. Spotting between periods and/or after periods, etc. use to happen to me too. Found that in my case, it was simply due to my taking a vitamin supplement containing "iron". I found that "every single time" I took an iron supplement or a vitamin containing iron; or, "ate" anything iron rich, I would spot for several days.
Avatar m tn When they remove the catheter from your leg, they put an angioseal in there to seal the artery and prevent bleeding. You usually feel a lump, where the incision was made. This slowly dissolves over a period of 90 days. It is very rare to form a blood clot because of the inhibitors you are taking, such as plavix. They usually test your blood to see your clotting factor and if necessary other clotting inhibitors are used, but most people only need aspirin/Plavix(clopidogrel).
Avatar n tn I started bleeding last night like I had started my period. I went to the hospital where they gave me something to stop the bleeding (which didnt) and they gave me an ultrsound. I thought I was at 6 weeks but the u/s measured me as just goin into my 5th week. So all I got to see was the sac, no heartbeat or anything. Then the nurse found another sac, a sign of twins. Well I wasnt too suprised by that considering it runs in my family.
Avatar n tn MY SYMPTOMS WERE IRREGULAR PERIODS AND LOWER PELVIC PAIN. PAIN WAS CAUSED BY THE ENDO, IRREGULAR PERIODS CAUSED BY PCOS. IT TOOK ALOT FOR ME TO GET DIAGNOSED.
Avatar n tn I went for my first ultrasound on May 23rd thinking I was 6 weeks by my LMP, (however my periods are not regular). All they saw at this visit was the gestational sac and said that I was probably just 5 weeks or so. Well, I went back on June 2nd for what should be my 6 week visit ( and I know I am at least 6 weeks going by the earliest point you can have a positive preg. test) and the gestational sac had grown and they saw a good yolk sac but were unable to see a fetal pole or hb yet.
Avatar m tn I know people who've had lens replacements on the NHS (not multifocal - NHS don't do them because they are so problematic!) and they had a 1-on-1 with their surgeon right the way through - sadly in a private clinic it's all down to cost and surgeons are probably reluctant to spend time in consultation. However, I have to say that OE have told me they will do everything possible to sort my vision out at no extra cost to me - including an ex-plant.
1178131 tn?1282658419 My sister conceived her 3rd child at 15stone and the nhs complain to many overweight people are conceiving and causing some problems to there unborn child, so weight isn't always an issue.
