Bleeding between periods missed pill

Common Questions and Answers about Bleeding between periods missed pill

period

Avatar f tn Stress could be causing some breakthrough bleeding. This could especially be the case if you missed a pill. I wouldn't be too worried unless when your monthly bleed (not truly a period) is due it doesn't come.
Avatar f tn Late last night I got some spotting, very light, and that has continued today with light cramping. I never get spotting between periods and it's making me a little nervous... What could this be?! Thanks for any help!!!!
Avatar f tn It's now been 2 months and 4 days sice my last period and I'm still not bleeding. Avatar n tn I have been on the mini pill norgeston for about 18 months since a dvt and have a regular 27 day cycle but have had spells of breakthrough bleeding in-between. It's almost like I have my usual 27 day cycle, but with an extra separate period in the middle. My husband doesn't usually ejaculate inside me, but has done 4-5 times in the last 6 weeks. Apart from this, nothing has changed with me, no weight changes, no stress or any medication.
Avatar n tn I'm 19 and I had my period towards the begining of the month now two weeks later I am bleeding again, it keeps switching between spotting and regular bleeding. When I was 16 I had a miscarrige and I haven't been pregnant again since I am blood type o neg and I am now with someone that is rh neg could this mean that I am finally pregnant again or could it just mean something is wrong with me?
Avatar f tn Well, you would have normal periods on the pill. It regulates you. PCOS can cause you not to have a period. Go see an OB. Have another blood test, if still neg ask for an ultrasound to ease your mind.
Avatar f tn im now waiting for a scan. im confused as i came off the pill 9 months ago. 1st 4 months my periods wer fine. then started coming late. and iv now not had a period since 2nd april. im worrying to the extent that i cant sleep. as im worried that i might not be able to have kids. yet my own dr has told me that thers no way i could have pcos. and iv read that you can still concieve if you do have it. also that if you get diagnosed with pcos, always mean you have it.
Avatar n tn I am surprised at the attitude of your doctor not wanting to investigate the absense of your period or even suggesting that he perform a blood test to check for pregnancy. I went to see my doctor last week, I waited until I had missed two periods.
Avatar f tn Levora can cause vaginal bleeding between periods or missed irregular periods. These effects are common during the first few months of use. The chances of pregnancy seem to be unlikely .Since you have missed one period it is suggested to contact your doctor. A clinical examination may be necessary and your doctor may recommend for a pregnancy test. Do keep us posted. Best wishes and regards!
Avatar f tn i dont think the bleeding could be my next period as my periods before i went on this pill, were on a really long cycle and my last two had an interval of over 50 days between each one, and i have not missed a pill so far. should i be worried? do i need to do a pregnancy test or go back to my doctor?
Avatar n tn however, I will try to advise-- When you missed the 3 pills (are you a Sunday pill starter???), when you missed them, you should've started your new pill pack on Sunday. Of course, its not unusual that you to "started" another period--W/out the hormones in the pill, you start your period. So, when you started the new pack, you should count the full 3 weeks of new active pills, and then start another period during your placebo week (if you have a placebo week)...
Avatar n tn im very young and i dont know the difference between spotting and my period i used to get it just at random and now for two months i have got it on the 5th and my periods used to last 7 days and now they only last 3, they are still heavy and a dark red but i dont know if they are now spotting or if my body is just changing , please help me figure out what it is and find out if im pregnent or not....
Avatar f tn Hello, Main causes of spotting between periods could be due to pregnancy, birth control pills, infection in an area of the body related to menstruation (including the vagina, the cervix and even the bladder). Other causes could be polycystic ovarian syndrome, diseases of pituitary gland, hormonal imbalance of estrogen and progesterone and uterine abnormalities like fibroid and cervical dysplasia.
Avatar f tn I have PCOS and Fibroids as well. Got off the pill about 3 mos ago and started taking Vitex. I had one regular period no bleeding in between, but have had the back pains and stomach cramps like I'm having menses. Not sure why, but I am happy to have had a regular length period that came and ended. Usually before Vitex and without BCP, i would have a period for like a month!!!
5856747 tn?1403352282 Irregular Menstrual Periods. Most women of child bearing age have between 10 and 12 menstrual cycles every year. This may be considered the “normal” but that is not to say that it has to be the normal for you. You may have only 6 to 8 periods per year and that is your “normal” and should be nothing to worry about. It is just how you are.
Avatar n tn I have not missed a pill for more than a couple of hours and I have been taking b.c for months now. I started pink spottingVaginal bleeding between periods 4 days before I started the placebo pills. The pink spottingVaginal bleeding between periods got darker as the day went on like I was actually going to start my period then it just stopped, same thing happened the next day.
Avatar n tn Don't let them tell you its normal. That is just crazy. They told my friend that and then put her on the pill to control the bleeding. Just so you know the pill for my friend did control her period. She got it once a month for a week. On time every month with normal blood flow.
498557 tn?1213639024 I just had the SAME THING happen......45 days between periods, I finally got mine this morning!!!! However, I am ttc so I am a little upset. But hey, we are going to try again when this period is over.....THANK EVERYONE and wish me luck!!!
Avatar n tn Best to ask your ob/gyn about that one, though. The pill inserts usually say to wait until you've missed two periods in a row to take a test.
Avatar n tn Try another birth control option that fits you. Missing a few pills will cause bleeding in between periods or even an early period. Good luck and hope this helps!
Avatar f tn I was told that they would get heavier than before the pill ( I was on the pill for 3 1/2 years) and I pretty heavy periods before the pill, so I was expecting heavy periods again. But they haven't happened! My periods are slightly shorter than on the pill and as light or a little lighter than on the pill. Is there anyone else who this has happened to?
Avatar f tn This can happen the first few months or for several years and then your body starts to adjust and your periods become more regular. Taking the birth control pill can sometimes regulate your periods and it also helps prevent an unplanned pregnancy. The pill has to be taken every day around the same time to be effective. You can't go days without taking it or it will not work. This is an option if you want to have more regular periods.
Avatar n tn A few days after I took Plan B, I had some bleeding for 2 or 3 days (not as heavy or long as my normal periods). My periods usually run like clockwork on a 28-29 day cycle, so I started to get nervous when I still hadn't had my "real" period April 12. I went to the doctors and had a pregnancy (urine) test on April 14 which came back negative. However, it is now April 22, and still no period. Could I still be pregnant? Did Plan B mess up my cycle? Please help.
Avatar n tn Ok i need some advice? I took plan B 48 hours after having sex. Never got any bleeding or anything from it. But a week later i had sex again, did not take the morning after pill. Could i be pregnant from this time. Or does it take a while for your cycle to get back on track after taking the morning after pill.
