On Monday (it is now Saturday) I woke up with the left corner of my bottom lip swollen. I assumed I bit it in my sleep because the inside of my lip was a bit scabbed. I'm worried it is a cold sore. I have been getting cold sores basically my entire life but I am unsure if this is a cold sore because it never blistered.
the next day my lip was swollen right under the area I felt the pimple coming up. as the day went on my lip got bigger, but I did not feel any irritation on my lip, it felt more like a pimple growing behind it. By tthe time I got home my lip was huge, thus making me go to the hospital that night. when the doctor looked at it, she determined it to be an abcess. it was more like one big huge bump on my lip or my lip just looked swollen.
My entire upper lip feels sore if touched sharply, and the middle of the upper lip has been a bit red on the edge. Occasionally a warm sensation is felt in the upper lip. Also, there seems to be redness and extreme dryness on the edge of my lips on the right side of my mouth.
Can you please tell me what this may be?
Also, I looked inside of my mouth because I had been feeling bumpy things but I just thought it was from my braces. There are these little white bumps in the inside of my bottom lip. Also, at the top of my top lip there is something that looks like skin is coming off of the inside of my lip. It's completely white and when I went to pull on my lip, it came off. My top and bottom left side of my lips are also very puffy. Usually, if it was from braces it'd be gone by now.
This morning I woke up feeling a weird bump on the middle of my lip. It feels like a fat lip in inside..with cuts. This is located in my inner middle lip. On my outter middle lip..directly opposite of my fat lip and cuts..has been what looks like 3 small blisters. These blisters formed when I popped and squeezed clear pus out of. I have been told that herpies don't form inside of the lip but outside. I have been tested last year for STD/HIV/Herpes. and i've been negative...
Recently I had developed a kind of skin irritation on my lower and upper lip ( prominent on lower lip). I had consulted with dentist and was advised for biopsy. The biopsy report showed nothing and the doctors assured me it was vein thickening inside the lip. They told that the problem would be resolved within 1 or 2 months. But still the problem persists and the skin periodically becomes dry flaked and peels off. Also the lower lip is crustated.
It has seemed to have lost its base structure and elasticity. The top lip also seems to have lost a bit of structure. These minor changes are having a drastic appearance on my face and Im wondering if there is anyone who has heard of anything like this happening before and if there are any creams/lotions or procedures out there to regain lip tone/structure/firmness and elasticity? my upper lip is swollen and if i close my mouth the upper lip doesen close and its blown up so it doesen close properly and wen i close them there bees a gap between my upper and bottom lip
so can you please tell me a good medicine for this that would recover it

This is the first time I've ever had anything like this, and it's only been four days so I can't comment on the frequency. However, during these four days they've been there and haven't moved or faded and come back. Basically, it's a group of blisters that span my upper lip, a few on my bottom lip, and most noticeably at the corner of my mouth and out on to the skin around my lip, I think that's noticeable because of a change in color.
About three days ago, I noticed a bump on my lip with a little open area on it, almost like I bit my lip. The next day, I had what appeared to be a scab forming, but it still hasn't formed. My body is a little achy and I was feeling like I was coming down with a cold, but I am fairly physically active and the aches can be explained by that.
I have done a lot of research on syphilis, and the sore doesn't look like any of the pictures that I have seen on the internet.

I had a cold sore for a week and granted I may have taken the loose scab off while washing it. But now after healing, it's dark and a little bit harder and rougher than the rest of my lip. Is it developing a scar? How can I heal it? I also took a medication I was prescribed at the doctor, it's called Valacyclovir. The doctor was very unclear on what she was giving me.
3 days ago I bit through my inner bottom lip - it didn't go all the way through but there is bruising on the outside of my lower lip. It was a big gash but i didn't go and get stitches straight away. 12hrs later I went to the clinic and they said they could not stitch the gash up because of tissue (not just a bump on the lip but actual tissue through the gap) protruding through the wound. They said the tissue would shrink within a few days and the lip would heal itself.

I've had the same problem for 2 years now. I've never been allergic to anything but started developing all kinds of allergic reactions. I found out I'm allergic to certain lip balms and lipsticks. Vaseline helped it when it was trying to heal. I'm definitely allergic to EOS lip balms, but that confuses me because I thought they had natural ingredients. I'm still not sure which ingredients I'm allergic to yet.
Hi all, my gf had a bad herpes outbreak about a week ago and its been healing steadily to where theres still a small scab left on her lip. This morning she playfully bite me on the arm but didnt break the skin. About a minute after, when I looked at her lip and realized it wasnt healed I went and washed my arm with soap.
We both have had oral herpes for years though never been tested to see if its HSV 1 or 2. We both have regular breakouts every so often.
I did notice a certain amount of redness on her lip (mouth) and asked her afterwards if it was, in fact, herpes. She said no, just acne. Should I now consider myself at risk for anything? A lot of my anxiety has to do with the redness on her lip. Understand, that I don't, at all, consider her some harbinger of disease. She's a human being just like all of us and deserves as much respect.
ve tried Vitamin B, Honey, Aquaphor, Burts Bees, Vaseline, drank a liter of water a day (some days a bit less) and the flaking on the lower lip persists.
If our top lip is not getting chapped and only our lower lip is, can this still be a hydration related deficiency? In the two plus years coping with this health concern, I've studied there could be some correlation with the intestinal organs (namely the spleen and stomach).
The irritation is never too bad but it does happen from the wires. I figured I didnt rub my inner lip in her vagina! As that would be strange!
I tracked my IBS symptoms for a year and a half and found that it was linked to my fever blisters on my lip that would break out each month I started my period. I also found a GI surgeon that wrote a paper stating that he too found a link between HS1 and IBS and that patients that took valtrex for the HS1 had a significant decrease in nausea, bloating, constipation, and diarreha. I knew that each time this blister on my lip popped out I would have all those symptoms.
