biaxin bad taste in mouth

Biaxin is well known for causing a metallic taste in the mouth. It's not a herx or acid reflux. Every time I used it (and every time many other Lymies used it) that metallic taste stayed the entire course and never diminished. I guess there could be a few people who didn't have that taste----- but then, we're all different aren't we?

Some of the treatment regimens use a medication called metronidazole (Flagyl) or clarithromycin (Biaxin). These medications can cause a metallic taste in the mouth. You will need to consult a gastroenterologist for adequate therapy. Regards.

I always have a metallic taste in my mouth..I use cinnamon toothpaste and it helps.My iron is not too low but it was I the low end of the range.

I wasn't entirely sure where to post this so forgive me if I made a mistake. Anyway for several months now I've been noticing that when I happen to stick my tongue out for any reason there is a bad taste in my mouth. It isn't causing bad breath (at least I don't think so) and it does happen when my tongue isn't out, but only occasionally and it's less intense of a taste. It also seems to come and go, as sometimes it seems completely gone for a few days and then returns.

I'll be 16 weeks on friday and i keep waking up with a really bad taste in my mouth which is making me sick. It ruining my ability to eat or drink anything. Its got to stage im in pain all the time because i.cant manage to eat :( ive had severe sickness with last pregnancy all way through from 4 weeks+. Im 9 weeks along and been having this nasty taste in my mouth after i eat no matter what i do doesnt go away. The worst thing its nasty and it makes me wanna throw up..even at night it wakes me up and as soon as i taste the nasty saliva it run to the bathroom. Im done sour limon candy, limon with salt cracker. Brushing my teeth constantly and using mouthwash but it only last a good 5 mins at most and then its back.

I have a simular problem. I have a bad taste in the mouth and at times, I burp up a mouth full of saliva. It's the strangest thing. If I press down on my throat or chest I burp a very strange sound. Its like a very deep burp that comes up with little effort to no effort at all, just a gentle push on my chest or the side of my throat brings it up.

Hi my name is Taylor and about a week ago i started having a bad taste in my mouth. It was really weird because i brush my teeth and floss everyday. When i started flossing one day in the back of my left top side of my mouth this horrible taste in my mouth kept coming up. I smelled the dental floss and I nearly threw up. At my last appt, my doc had me cycle the Tindamax, 3 weeks on, 3 weeks off. I was so glad to stop, as the chronic bitter taste in my mouth and the dark tongue went away. Well, now that I have cycled back on, both side effects are back. Yuck.

Hi recently developed a strange taste in my mouth. The taste is bad and it makes me feel like i didn't brush my teeth even after i spend at least 5 minutes brushing them. Recently i have developed a infection to the left side of the base of my tongue.I look like small bums and it burns. I think it is inflamed. Could this infection cause the taste in my mouth?
