I have taken Erythromycin 2x, Clindamycin 3x and Biaxin. Nothing will cure the infection. I have seen 5 dentists and 2 endodontists and no one knows what to do for me. They essentially tell me I have an infection, presecribe some medication and push me out the door. I am at a loss as to what to do, but I can no longer continue with this pain. It has gotten to the point where somedays I just don't want to be alive anymmore. Please tell me what to do!
If I was infected with any of the above, would an 8 day course of Biaxin resolved these? And yes it was 8 days and not the usual 10 for whatever reason.
2. I've read on this site that most of these STD's resolve themselves within a few months even without treatment, but other medical and government websites specifically say the exact opposite and say only way to get rid of infection is to seek treatment. Which is it?
May I also ask what length of time would I take the Biaxin? And is there any home treatment, Like garlic pills etc. that would help augment healing? ( since Biaxin is not considered the best treatment.) Although I'm stuck with that. And frankly, I was on the Clindamycin for weeks and that didn't get rid of the infection, so maybe a broad spectrum antibiotic will work for me. I sure hope so. thank you again for your advice.
You should probably get it checked out by a dentist. It may be an abscess although you're right, antibiotics would probably help to keep it controlled but there are many different types of antibiotics and each one works better for particular types of bacteria in the body.
My guess though, is that its a maxillary tori, which is just excess bone and probably has been there your whole life and you just never noticed it. But I can't confirm it over the internet.
I had 2 women perform oral sex on me and about 2-3 months later I had a chest cold and my doctor gave me biaxin 2x500mg a day for 10 days. then a few months later had amoxicillian 3x500mg a day for 10 days for another unrelated infection (my docs loves to give antibiotics) If I did get a std like gonnerea or clymidia or anything else that is bacterial would the biaxin get rid of it?...keep in mind I have had no unprotested sexual intercourse just received oral from a women.
Last week I was diagnosed with a duodenal ulcer and am taking Amoxicillin, Biaxin and Prevacid. I am one week into treatment and feel only marginally better.
My question is about stomach tenderness. Is a tender stomach normal with a peptic ulcer? My entire stomach area, from just below my breasts, down to my navel, is very tender to the touch. When touched it produces like a burning/stinging/bruised feeling. Depending on the day, or time of the day, the pain is greater or less.
About 2-3 days after that, I had a nurse look at my throat which was very sore at that point and she told me that I had a serious infection and to have a strep test immediately. I went to the doctor and both the strep and mono tests came back negative. I only had a sore throat, the infection in my throat (white spots and pus pockets), tiredness (which I just thought was being tired) and an achy body (which I attributed to working out).
just one last point, the biaxin and amoxicilian were taken at different times around 2-3 months apart. Biaxin was for a Resp infection and the amoxicilian was for my saliva gland issue. These all have been taken throughtout the last year since exposure. Would Biaxin or amoxicial cure syphlis by themselves?. no more questions from me so I would like to thank you for your time!.
I have had an abcess and infection at the tip of a front tooth root for four years. I knew that I had problems and this is what showed up on the x-ray. Two weeks ago I had a root canal treatment on this tooth. It was fine for about 10 days but now feels painful and just the same as it did prior to the treatment. Will it be possible for the dentist to re-do the root canal treatment, and if this does not work are there any other options to try and save the tooth?
I have a bunch of symptoms that im afraid may indicate something serious. blotchy rash on my neck, chest palms and groin; loss of sensation and discoloration of my penis; cold sweats; constipation and difficulty urinating w no pain involved. I've had a sinus infection and ear infection for sometime now but just started taking biaxin yesterday. Not much improvement..could I have some kidney or liver issues due to years of cocaine abuse?
I do not have a lyme dx but I am working with my neurologist on it...I am also looking for an LLMD in my area. I am sure that I will have no trouble finding one near Philadelphia.
I have a question about antibiotics. Since 2001, I have what I thought was an allergy to Cipro. Took it for an upper respitory infection for 3 days and had terrible problems. The Dr then gave me Levaquin, took for 7 days, with the same side effects.
If the gums are swollen and red, that actually might tighten the tooth as it swells and grabs onto the tooth more tightly although it would explain the pain when you tap it.
I would continue the medication and be gentle on the area. The area should tighten up. Its also possible that during the extraction of the tooth, there may have been some pressure/forces used to remove the tooth and it might have traumatized #9 resulting in a little looseness as well.
I have read lots of your post concerning biaxin and azithromycin and whether they cure syphilis, gonorrhea, chlamydia and NGU. I have found that biaxin is chemically different than azithromycin but biologically same at killing bacteria as azithromycin. On some post you say that azithromycin or clarithromycin(biaxin) would cure all the bacterial stds then in others you state that there could be some problems.

Prinmary Dr put me on Biaxin due to blood work taken at hospital showing normal WBC count but slightly elevated neutrophils and more decreased lymphocytes. Started Biaxin yesterday; slight improvement, fever last night 100 instead of 101, but headache still gets very strong during the night, had to finally take ibuprofen again at 2am; rash is expanding to trunk.
Anybody have any idea of what may be going on?
Hi, I need some advise regarding my teeth.
I had a root canal done on my tooth 19th maybe about 3 years ago.
2 years ago my gum swelled because of pus & infection therefore the dentist did another root canal to remove the infection. I found out last sep. that there's some infection underneath that same tooth again, but
because of some complication with insurance i didn't do anything about it till now. This time there's no swelling or pain or any sort of discomfort.
He speculated that maybe i had a sinus infection and gave me a 10 day course of biaxin. Today was my last day on it. It did stop the drainage but the lumps are stil there bothering me.
I must say, i went against your word and did an oraquick test 13.5 weeks out and it was negative. So that makes 6 negatives in 3 months. For what its worth, i believe you now. I have an ent appointment monday. Should i go through anymore tests or say no thanks.
About 3 weeks or so after stopping antibiotics (Amoxicillin and Biaxin) I developed a flat, red, and sometimes itchy rash on both breasts and my stomach. Sometimes I get shooting pains in my breasts. It has not spread from these areas. I thought it could be a yeast infection, so I started applying Lotrimin cream. I've used it for 7 days and the rash isn't any better.
Does this sound like it could be a yeast infection? Does the cream need longer to work?
They did a re-treatment on the tooth. My dentist had put on me on pain meds and amoxicillin. two days after the retreatment I was in horrible pain. I went back to the endo to have an I&D done. My face was very swollen for two days. They then switched my meds to clindamycin(2 rounds) The swelling has gone away mostly but there is still a little swollen area near the tooth where the I&D was done. Every day it is an improvement but it still hurts.
