biaxin and flomax

Saw my primary MD today. He said that the Flomax relaxes muscles in the bladder and prostate, and the Avodart shrinks the prostate. He said that after a year or so, if the prostate has gone down and reduced the problems, they like to eliminate the Flomax, as it is no longer necessary. Long story short, I now have a prescription for Avodart alone. I realize that it may not reduce the surgery risk, but one less drug is a good thing.

I was taking Biaxin 500mg twice a day for a week and then took the rpr two days later. could this affect the results in any way?

If I was infected with any of the above, would an 8 day course of Biaxin resolved these? And yes it was 8 days and not the usual 10 for whatever reason. 2. I've read on this site that most of these STD's resolve themselves within a few months even without treatment, but other medical and government websites specifically say the exact opposite and say only way to get rid of infection is to seek treatment. Which is it?

I'm 68 years old and have had Cataracts for over 2 years. I've been taking Avodart for over a year. Should I stop taking Avodart and wait awhile before cataract surgery or will the informed Dr be able to work with my eyes? I've never taken Flomax and have heard the warnings from the commercial and read about Flomax. I'm concerned about any complications. I'm also pretty active. Can I still swim after surgery and what are the chances of the lens shifting or coming loose?

Are you taking Flomax for prostate issues? Flomax works by relaxing the muscles in the bladder and prostate, which leads to improved flow of urine and fewer symptoms of BPH. I am 77 years old and have been taking Flomax for about 2 years. I have had cool thermo therapy for enlarged prostrate about 2 years ago. Unrination is really no problem anymore, but I have a problem with getting erections and now when I ejaculate I have no semon in me. I was given cipro and Flomax for pelvic pain and a UTI. the pain was through the whole pelvis and also individual veins or spermatic cord. does Flomax permanently shrink your prostate or reduce testosterone levels? I read one forum where people where saying they had a permanent loss of strength, could not throw the discus as far?

I stopped, and when the urinary issues seemed to be more problematic again, I returned to the added Flomax, and immediately discovered the same lack of semen and abdominal pain (during the 2 months not taking Flomax, ejaculatory function returned to normal). I had 2 women perform oral sex on me and about 2-3 months later I had a chest cold and my doctor gave me biaxin 2x500mg a day for 10 days. then a few months later had amoxicillian 3x500mg a day for 10 days for another unrelated infection (my docs loves to give antibiotics) If I did get a std like gonnerea or clymidia or anything else that is bacterial would the biaxin get rid of it?...keep in mind I have had no unprotested sexual intercourse just received oral from a women.

I would concentrate on finding the best cataract surgeon on your plan and make sure he or she has done dozens and dozens of Flomax cases and is very comortable with the management. Dr. David Chang in Los Altos, CA has written extensively on the best techniques to manage such cases.

I've heard taking Flomax and hour or 2 before will soften the prostate and allow the antibiotic to better penetrate the prostate? t seem to be a great drug since it lowers blood pressure too much, I almost fainted on losartan and flomax. Is it true it permenently exhausts you and causes muscle weakness?

they are cyst-busters. I was on biaxin for that purpose (along with another med to kill the bugs after they came out of the cyst), but had a reaction to it after several months; so the dr switched me to flagyl and a different antibiotic. It's a fair question why the dr would give you two cyst busters. Sounds like a lot. Good luck with the new job!! Sounds like a good one.

the doctor and I decided that I should try a differnt antibiotic so we switched to the Generic form of Biaxin.... Clarithromycin...... I was on it for 2 months and dropped 18 pounds and 3/4 of my hair..... we pulled out what was in the shower drain alone and you could of made a wig out of it pretty much...... the only other symptoms I had while on this medicine apart from the hair loss is that my hands would swell and night......I had excessive bruising all over.....

My testing for lyme is still coming up positive and there were more positive bands and stronger ones than my last test three months ago. He said that the meds I'm currently are on do not treat lyme. After this course of meds, I am switching to Amox & Biaxin to begin treating the lyme. My CD57 shot up from like 20 to 87 though! That is the highest it's been in a long time so that is good news! The last few days, I seem to be feeling a bit better.
