Avatar f tn I was always told that you can maintain the normal as a runner. Which I did.. basically until youre really showing then taper it back accordingly. If youre already active its best to stay that way. You just dont want to add anything to your routine. The doctor will tell you when its no longer safe and to adjust your stride.
Avatar f tn Try a balanced diet plan like the ethosien diet and a regular mixed workout routine. The weight will drop off , im doing the exact same and i have lost 21 lbs over 6 weeks.
Avatar n tn When I did crunches I always put my fingertips behind my ears without any pressure. Your abs should be the only thing working your body during an ab routine. So definitely try again but maybe try a more recent workout. There's a GREAT ab workout routine at s park p eople (no spaces) and the trainer will talk to you about how to do them without straining your neck. Good luck!
Avatar f tn ve heard a few different opinions on what time of day is best to workout but honestly, the best time to workout is whenever you have time to fit it into your schedule! Personally I workout at all different times. Sometimes I have time to kill in the morning and have enough energy to get in at least a half hour of some kind of cardio (it's rare though because I am not a morning person AT ALL either lol) Other times I do it late at night.
1483550 tn?1307285764 I have been keeping a pretty set routine of going to the gym in the evening. I was wondering when the best time for eating dinner would be?? Before or after??? So far I have been eating a decent size meal before working out and having a piece of fruit for a snack afterward. About a half hour after my work out my stomach demands food with lots of grumbling.... It's quite annoying! Is this good or not so much? Any advise???
Avatar f tn Check out "40 weeks of fitness: prenatal workout series with Lauren Huber Griffith" on youtube. It's a little more advanced but she also has various steps on each move so it's easy to work up to the full thing. I also "sectioned" it in to 4 separate workouts that I'm mixing and matching. On top of this continue the walking!
Avatar f tn Swimming is really the best workout when pregnant. I personally stopped swimming (because it's quite expensive here) when we got a dog when I was 4 months pregnant so now I'm still walking 2-3 hours everyday at 37 weeks pregnant and I've gained about 28 lbs (I'm quite tall). Hope you find something that works for you!
Avatar n tn It is known that you have to do abs exercise everyday or at least 6 days a week. So I'm thinking, should you workout your abs after all other body parts during that day or you should workout the first thing before any other body parts?
Avatar m tn For a ab work out you can go to a trainer or just search on YouTube. Studies show that the best results for your toning is by changing the routine of your workout, so do a different ab video, everyday! Also for some people every other day of working out shows better results. That's up to you! For a diet there are certain foods like pine apple that supposedly take away blotting in the stomach. Hope I helped!

11464625 tn?1422861172 After implementing a new workout routine or program, it’s common to be sore for the first few workouts, but the soreness shouldn’t linger more than a few days. Soreness is your body’s way of saying that it needs recovery before the next session. It’s not necessary to be sore after every workout to experience results. Consistently leaving your body in a sore wreck is a perfect way to eventually end up over-trained.
Avatar f tn Warmups are important for any routine, maybe even more so if you have bad knees. A proper warmup helps to loosen stiff muscles and get your blood flowing. To get your body ready for the exercises that lie ahead, do some brisk walking or other light activity that doesn't hurt your knees until you break a sweat. Then, perform some static stretches to loosen the muscles and ligaments before you begin.
Avatar f tn try a dvd by zumba or another trainer you like, and mix it up. Don't do the same routine all the time. Confuse your muscles by having a different routine every day.
897494 tn?1267476064 rest, then I move on to more weights, and leg press, then to the treadmill for another 20 min interval cardio workout, using the same time routine as the eliptical workout. Is this going to get me where I want to be, I need to loose 20 lbs, and I am 28 yrs old, I have the nutrition part of it down for the most part. I just need to know in what order and what type of cardio I shoud be doing?
Avatar f tn Last week I combined my workout routine with HIIT and I really pushed myself hard in the gym. I experienced spotting since then. I've had spotting previously but this time it is for 2 straight days. Is this something to worry or is it coz of the high intensity workout? I am 23 years old. My previous period ended last Thursday and I am not sexually active.
Avatar f tn abs, legs, biceps, chest, or back). So every day I'm doing machines for one area plus the cardio (jogging or eliptical). Like I said I've been disciplined and going every day, but I'm getting discouraged because I don't see my body changing.. I realize its only been a month but I am at it every single day, shouldn't I be seeing some results? My diet is healthy too, I have low blood sugar so I eat tons of protein.
10840278 tn?1424816083 While splitting your routine for morning cardio and evening weight training is best, schedules may not allow this type of regimen. Instead alternating a cardio workout one morning and then a weight-training session on another day in the evening will help you in achieving your fitness goals. Proper rest and recovery from training sessions, such as 48 hours between strength training sessions focused on the same muscle group, should be allowed to ensure progress and prevent injuries.
