I never took them with my first two because if you are getting a varied diet with all vitamins you need they are not necessary according to my doctor.

I'm sure you'll get a lot of recommendations but I did a lot of research and reading of labels and finally settled on Brainstrong prenatals with DHA. It just seemed to have the highest level of all the important stuff, plus DHA which is good for growing those little brain cells.

Yup they r right the baby will take what it needs from u so. Like calcium it will take it from ur bones n if u don't replace what the baby is taking u will be more prone to getting osteoporosis. Same with iron. If u don't take them u mine lose too much n be deficit n u may need a blood transfusion after delivery. So it is very important to take them even if they make u sick. Take them with a meal. Sometimes it's the iron that makes u sick so u need food with them.

So we are going in on Monday for our next one, I will be 6weeks 3days so we should see something. Anyway my question is what Prenatal Vitamins are everyone taking? We were on vacation when we found out we were pregnant and I didn't have any vitamins with me so we got OneADay Women's Prenatal over the counter. I have been taking them for the past two weeks and got a prescription for Primacare One from a local Dr. I don't know how good of vitiamins they are.

i was just wondering which is the best prenatal vitamins to take...atm im taking centrum pregnancy care...but i was wondering about other ones as it has folic acid in it...but quite alot of them seem to aswell...so does this mean you just stop taking the vitamins at 12 weeks or can you carry on...

s why most ladies end up posting about problem scans early so your doctor is doing the best for you and your baby so makeing you waight is best for you and your baby..

I think it has to do with what vitamins are in the Centrum, they probably don't have the rec. amount of folic acid or iron in them. I didn't take any prenatal vitamins until I was further along b/c they made me sick. I do not recommend that. I would look up online what the rec. amount of which vitamins is online, and compare them to your vitamins. Keep in mind also, that a lot of women don't find out they're pregnant until further along too. You should be fine.

I've taken one a day prenatal vitamins for the past month and now IM 8 weeks and every time I take them I get sick.. I really don't wanna take them cause they make me feel horrible. Idk If I should keep taking them or is there something wrong w them ?

Ideally you would be using prenatal vitamins before you concieve as this helps provide the right nutriens for you and your body before you concieve,however its not important if you didnt,you can start taking them at any time.so start now if your pregnant or trying.and yes make an appointment with your doctor.depends how your doctors do things.here in the uk,as soon as we find out we make an appointment.

Almonds any nuts oats and spinach is high in iron!! I've been eating fish and veggies a lot and I feel a lot better :-) hope it helps!

They give you prenatal vitamins in the UK where it's all free so I don't think it's money making scheme, your baby will take all the vitamins and nutrients it needs from your food intake your bodies natural stores, so baby will be ok, but you will go without what you need, it is important to take them, try the gummy ones as suggested

you may not need any of them, mostly the body cannot absorb most vitamins etc unless its in food...sometimes pills need to be taken with something or you cant absorb them anyway, but its a fact that some vitamins have only about 5% potency once they are in pill form...also i watched a documentary with doctors in who were testing people who took suppliments and if people take vit A and smoke it gives a massive poss of getting lung cancer because of the vitamin suppliment...
