Common Questions and Answers about Best vision insurance plan

1260255 tn?1288654564 I have a consultation scheduled with the ophthalmologist on September 20, after having done more research and talking to my health insurance company. I plan on having the laser iridotomies done and insurance will cover all but the copay, with this being done as an in office procedure. Thank you for your professional advice, which was consistent with everything else I had learned.
Avatar f tn Also, see if there is a birth center near you. I know our local BC has options for families with no insurance. The total out of pocket to deliver there and be seen throughout the pregnancy is about $4500 compared to 3x that amount about the hospital.
Avatar f tn And i have the same plan i had before so im not sure i think it varies by plan .
Avatar f tn I think I found an answer to my question on the COBRA web site: "Pre-existing conditionsSome health insurance companies cut their costs by invoking something called a "pre-existing condition" clause. The notion of a pre-existing condition makes sense when you're talking about car insurance: your windshield was cracked before you bought your coverage, so you can't expect the insurance company to replace it once your policy is in force.
Avatar n tn d like to minimize your dependence on glasses, consider having your lenses set for blended vision (distance vision in dominant eye, intermediate vision in nondominant eye). With this correction, you might only need glasses for prolonged reading or seeing small print.
4896357 tn?1360670904 Would still very much appreciate more opinions on the best tx plan for me. Also the insurance companies that are approving tx without a fight. I plan to move fast on this and am just waiting for the health insurance exchange to re-open. I will need the tax breaks.
Avatar f tn They are all pretty much the same (they all have the same FDA regulations). I chose Similac Advanced concentrate (it is in the 13 oz can and you add water) for my 6 month old son. It is really just a personal choice on which brand you choose. Hope this helps!
Avatar f tn Hello! So I got a new job and didn't sign up for the vision plan because I have plenty of contacts, so decided to sign up during enrollment in January, but I did sign up for Medica health insurance. Now I have a growth in the corner of my eye. Not on the eyeball but in the way corner next to the nose. It is red, doesn't hurt or itch, is just super annoying because it touches by eye sometimes and feels like some eye boogers and I constantly want to rub it away.
Avatar f tn My question is should we stay in our HMO and being treated by the same doctor who knows his history well, or should we switch insurance and thus give ourselves more options of choosing the best doctors for this case? Thank you for your help.
763297 tn?1281379425 The man from the insurance company said that there is no individual plan that would cover fertily. It can get very expensive.
Avatar n tn IMO, your best bet would be aspheric monofocal IOLs set for blended vision (distance vision in dominant eye, intermediate vision in non-dominant eye). If all goes as planned, you would only need glasses for prolonged reading or seeing small print. This is at least as good (and possibly much better) as what you'd get with the Crystalens, and your chances of having post-surgery problems would be much lower.
Avatar m tn I need to have some form of treatment for this back problem, but I obviously need to become insured before seeking that treatment.. I do not know which type of insurance would be best suited to my needs.. I went to and was looking at the kaiserpermanente $1500 deductible plan, but when I read what the different plans offer it's almost like trying to read Greek..
387294 tn?1207620185 With this impact her chances to get health insurance on her own? Will it impact our ability to continue her insurance after the cobra period is over on our insurance?
290867 tn?1333569278 My company is changing insurance plans. Something I learned from our insurance agent is that if you currently have health ins. MOST ins companies will pick you up if you choose to go with them. We were worried about not being able to switch because of pre-existing conditions, but she said we don't have to worry about that.
Avatar n tn Your best bet is to consult with a licensed agent so he/she can not only help you decide whether an HSA is your best option but also advise you on what carrier would be your best option considering your pre-existing Epilepsy.

Avatar f tn You should talk to your clinic and ask them which insurance works the best for the clinic and go purchase it, again, as a secondary insurance. We plan on dropping the secondary plan when we become pregnant, God willing! Good luck!
Avatar f tn Its a new law, your larents insurance will cover you until you are 26, married or not, but not your baby. You will have to tell the insurance you are married bc you have to change your name with them.
Avatar f tn For those of you who have regular insurance, what type of payment plan did your doc put you on??
Avatar n tn What are the best health insurance sites/companies/agents? When you search health insurance you get, and, and as the top 3 but I want to know if you have found better ones than these ones.
Avatar f tn My insurance don't cover maternity and I live in Taxes too. My doctor pull me on a payment plan so I can finish paying off that potion of the bill. All my doctor's visits run about $3000 which include one Ultrasound at 20 weeks. Any additional u/s is about $100 cash up front. Let the lab know you're paying cash before any blood work, that will cut the price in half. The hospital will run from 4000 and up, cash of course.
Avatar m tn I have a growth under my left eyelid that puts pressure on my eye effecting my vision and I have a dark mark on the left side of my head also I can't sleep on my left side or I'll get headackes have no insurance I feel like crap. What do I do?
Avatar f tn It goes by your income and you can pick a plan based on your needs so you can pick a plan that will cover prenatal visits with a low deductible you might just have to pay a little higher premium.
Avatar f tn I told my doctor what I would like to achieve is the best possible distance vision and the best possible night vision. I do not mind wearing reading glasses. I had monovision with Lasik and would like to do the same with the cataract surgery. The plans was to have good distance vision in my right I and then put a Crystal Lens ($1500 extra) in my left eye for reading.(He was really pushing for me to upgrade to the multifocal lenses). I had cataract surgery 2/17/11 on my dominant eye.
