Avatar f tn just started treatment 5 days ago (it already feels like forever). I have many symptoms, but the latest and greatest is my skin is so sensitive!! I have a rash on my torso, but it's not so much itchy as incredibly sensitive. Trying to dress for work everyday is awful, does anyone have any good tips on managing this?? Is everyone else working through their treatment?
Avatar n tn If it makes little difference, as I suspect it will, then just use bland moisturizers and mild soaps and leave the penis alone as much as possible, ignoring the redness and whiteness, which almost certainly mean nothing important. If you wish, you can see a skin doctor at some point, just for confirmation. Best. Dr.
Avatar n tn Hi all I have not had a good day today. Apart from the "normal " things that I get every day, Last night my skin on my fore arm and inner legs felt like bad sunburn. This has happened several times now. My skin feels like its splitting its so sore,WHAT IS IT ? If any one else gets it what can I take or do.I feel quite unwell with it all. Someone has recommended putting some t tree in a warm bath (I like hot baths but I cant even have that pleasure now) so warm it is.
Avatar f tn o( I get really dry skin right on my chin area under the corners of my mouth and this was the ONLY moisturizer that took care of it for me.
Avatar n tn Tretinoin makes your skin more sensitive to the sun. Hence, it is advisable that if you re using tretinoin ,you need to use sunscreen protection in and out of the house .Tretinoin helps delay sun damage however, it has been shown to be less effective in reverting already damaged skin or severely sun damaged skin. Thus, you may discuss this with your physician. Was tretinoin prescribed by your doctor? What was the indication for the medication? Are you having severe acne?
548502 tn?1320556593 I have been in a commented relationship for over six years and have been tested for STD's but after I had a baby a few years ago my private has been extremely sensitive. I have to use unscented everything, trim my pubic hair, take special care after I have sex with my husband, make sure I rinse off all the soap, not bubble baths, be toliet paper conscience, only pat it after a shower---none of this was ever an issue before. The littlest thing irritates me and if I scratch and break the skin.
Avatar m tn Stop using it which u have it may of thinned as skin in that area rubs against other skin making the cream penetrate the skin more. If I were you'd I'd keep using the anti fungal and be patient it'll heal up.
Avatar n tn The best toothpaste for a sensitive mouth and tongue is "Tom's of Maine - Fennel." No matter how sore my mouth is, I can use it with no problems. There are a few other natural ones in cherry flavour etc that work well. But the pepermint and wintergreen ones are terrible! Even Sensodyne burns like Heiil!
Avatar f tn I am acutely sensitive to cold air conditioner. The effects are immediate and the colder the air the worse things are. This is followed by a thumping headache and painful soreness in the eyes and nostrils. Further exposure can result in heavy nasal congestion and pain spreading all around my eyes, jaws , teeth, And headache. The problem started after my open heart surgery for an aorotic valve replacement, and I am on coumadin therapy for life time. With my primary Dr.
Avatar f tn I am having extremely dry skin..i had sensitive skin before. Dove sensitive soap helps and then there is a St. Ives lotion that has at sticker on it that says dermatologist recommended that is use. It is the best lotion that helps but not always entirely. I think it's something we just have to suffer til we deliver! Use at humidifier in your room at night as well.
Avatar m tn It may sound weird but crisco is lard which is a natural moisturizer making it perfect for the sensitive skin in the genitalia area. Try it, hope this helps!
1853014 tn?1340042175 Look around for the product that has no fragrance, is recommended by dermatologists, and is for sensitive skin. Slather it on before bed, and put some cotton mittens on, to aid with the absorption~ You can also use coconut oil or olive oil, because these are pure, and olive oil discourages fungal conditions as well. The problem with cheap store bought hand lotion is that there are many ingrediants, and I notice they use alcohol in them (maybe to perserve?
Avatar n tn I also like to try and use things with tea tree oil in it. My skin is more on the sensitive side so I have to watch myself.
Avatar f tn I'm pn Armour and I was told Soy products shouldn't be used, I'd like to use wild yam cream, and I noticed it has soy oil in it, I'm not injesting it, you rub it on the skin, would this interfere with my Armour, I know its a dumb question, but i don't want to spend the money with the possiblility of not being able to use it.
Avatar f tn I buy the soft gels and prick it open with a diabetic lancet. I have extra sensitive skin, but it doesnt irritate my skin and face. Also, I have a lady who makes homemade natural shea butter and sells it to me.
Avatar n tn I've never really considered the fact that the two might be linked. Thank you for this question it really makes a girl think. I've always been more prone to stress and it turns out my family (ALL of the women) lack Vit B.. which is often used to deal with stress. I always seem to get stressed out. .which causes more breakouts! I never had out of control breakouts, but I did and still do from time to time break out. My husband got me a engagement ring and it is silver.
Avatar f tn The question to me is not why should you get the most sensitive test available, but WHY NOT get the most sensitive test available. There should be no extra "hassle" and the cost isn't all that much more than a real-time PCR, plus insurance should cover it.
Avatar n tn I use aveeno soap, aveeno bath oil, allegra if the itching gets too bad and I was given a cream by the dermatologist which helps. Desoximetasone Cr/Eucerin Taro = steroid in eucerin cream. Early on the skin on my neck and scalp was so sensitive even showering hurt, thank goodness that went away. The dehydration has affected my sinuses, to the point of bleeding. Another specialist visit--found humidifier and using vaseline in the nasal passages worked wonders.
1375156 tn?1278708104 I feel that I have tried every type of cream, ointment everything known to man, but nothing seems to get into the skin to the point of attack, if that makes sense. I have also taken countless oral prescribed medications as well as over the counter, those all have been ineffective. The most recent ones I can recall, hydroxyzine, doxepin, loratidine, and the most recent cyclosporine. I have never itched anywhere else other than these areas mentioned.
Avatar n tn The fact that my skin has gotten super sensitive,I even stated that in another thread how my skin has gone sissy on me...... Detergent is probably the culprit...And the fact I sweat like a hog every night soaking my feather pillow. My spots aren't acute...On my face its more like a few blotches...My forearms get reddened and it almost looks like under the skin and measel looking....but that usually only happens around taking my Riba dose.... Man you musta went thru it!
Avatar m tn and do you think they tested me for polyester? something you wear on your skin all day and sleep on all night? Noooo. Because they are not taught this in college because no one knows about this. I am the discoverer. They all learn the same thing. And that is why when you go to doctors with a condition, they all tell you the same thing. I went on disability. And to do so, I had to prove this to the doctors. Not like they knew **** about my problems.
Avatar f tn Steriods have always worked for me other wise- I have very sensitive skin so I have allergic reactions to frangranced stuff sometimes or whatever, and I tend to have rashes or sometimes hives-that baffle doctors because of how they either look or where they're at.) Anyways, steriods have always worked for my random small break outs. I'm so sick of hearing "well, I've never seen this before." And yes ladies and gents, I GO TO HIGH QUALIFIED, EXPERIENCED DOCTORS!! And yet still......
Avatar f tn The area of the skin that is affected by the rash or skin lesions caused by shingles can remain sensitive for several days, even after the rash and lesions have disappeared. The virus can lay dormant in the human body and can get reactivated when the immune system is weakened due to some other health condition(s). Tactile defensiveness is a neurological disorder that is caused by a neurological defect in the midbrain, which is concerned with evaluating and filtering different types of stimuli.
Avatar m tn And also where the skin is the thinnest and most sensitive. And where it rubs back and forth across it. So it happened on your penis for it is sensitive! And as for the tightness in your neck because the weight of the shirt hold the threads against you my friend. This means your bodies defenses against it are getting weaker and so it is starting to show in more places for you. And soon if not already comes other ways you will react. Like not getting to sleep well, and waking up often.
Avatar f tn maybe she could try putting either cotton balls or ear plugs in her ears at night so she doesn't feel the fluid come out? Best of luck!
Avatar n tn I'm not pregnant and feel really bloated. I had my night sweat last night and all the chills that I used to feel just before I get my period. Not sure if I blame it on recent traveling and my cold mediation during my vacation 2 weeks ago that could have delayed my period. Or I could be starting perimenopause. Anyone experienced the same when they were starting perimenopause. Thanks.
3891475 tn?1363677130 Dove unscented for sensitive skin or Alveeno sensitive skin facial wash may help. Be sure you are taking a fish oil supplement and a good supplement that is the whole-food type. I'm not sure what the best eye cream is, but maybe Oil of Olay eye cream.
Avatar f tn but anyway, when the condom accidentally brushed the clitoris it burned, and was even more sensitive for the entire rest of the night. no pain during urination or anything....but it hurt to close my legs. everything was fine when i woke up the next morning, and it was all fine today. but i was noticing tonight it felt kinda weird, and i looked and it is pretty red.
492921 tn?1321293496 so like I guess you can drink soy products or eat them but you can't use them on your skin. weird, eh? anyway, I love the aveeno! i've got VERY sensitive/fair skin and it doesn't irritate or make me feel like i'm suffocating...unfortunately the vasline and burt's bees make my skin feel like it's choking lol.
