764218 tn?1234573359 D Community and thank you sincerely for asking about diet pills. It seems we hear so many advertisements for diet pills and quick fix ways to lose weight that we tend to want to believe them. However, the truth is that those companies are out to make a profit and they make all sorts of claims trying to get you to part with your money. And, in short, they do not work and many times they are simply not safe.
Avatar n tn I am very addicted to phentermine (diet pills). How long does withdrawal take? Can I taper? Must I be hospitalized?
Avatar n tn You can go to a Bariatrics doctor and they can prescribe for you and you get it from your actual pharmacy. Scary, my insurance covers diet pills. Doesn't cover birth control, but covers diet pills. You don't need to use them for very long, though. It will make your heart race and feel funny...thus, the reason they are abused. Definitely an upper, and yes, Andi, my house was SPOTLESS while on them. Oceans, you're so not fat. 138 is the perfect, curvy weight. Men don't like bones....
Avatar f tn Avoid cake, cookies, biscuits, and go easy with bread in general. Limit cheese. I use Go Veggie cheese substitute. Avoid milk if you have indigestion. Use whole fruit like an apple as your snack and don't eat anything else with it as the body digests fruit best when you eat it alone. A cup of hot green tea with mint is a great substitute for a high-cal snack.
Avatar n tn Weight generally is regained after stopping medication. The best weight-loss medication program will also incorporate a weight-loss diet and exercise. OK as you see..for a very slight weight (not fat) loss...why take the risk ? and it clearly states..excercise,diet are #1 and no long tern studies have been done..and as soon as you stop..all weight is re-gained..this is junk..stop looking for a quick fix...its not worth the risks..not for this drug anyway...
Avatar m tn You wont be breastfeeding forever, be patient mama. And remember, your baby, doesnt need to be on a diet...so dont feed him or her diet pills thru your milk.
Avatar n tn So realize my opinion is highly biased, but exercise and diet are the best weight control. No pill will ever come close to having the lasting effects of caring for oneself. If you want some tips on boosting metabolism without speed, I am more than willing to share what I know.
Avatar n tn It's the only one that has actually worked for me but I am committed to it and use the exercise regimen and diet plan as best I can. Mostly I would look at their plan with out the pill. Just look at the site It's slimquick! I would ask the doctor about the regimen. Just use caution and please research everything. Including nutrition, how your body reacts to insulin and what exercise your body likes.
Avatar n tn I need to lose well over 100 lbs and before I use diet pills and lost a lot of weight plus the energy wouldn't hurt since it is hard to get out of the bed in the morning.
Avatar n tn I agree that diet pills are not the best solution, however, they do help get those of us that aren't able on our own started in the weight loss process. I too think Hydrocycut is good. I will also add that I started Curves and did excellent there losing weight. I do not know exactly how much weight you are looking to lose but, my mother has recently lost 40 pounds by taking Adipex. This is typically a prescription but can be purchased online. My email is ***@**** if you are interested.
4784361 tn?1401234707 Most of us here, aren't very open minded when it comes to diet pills. How about if I pretend to "be your doctor" and just say "no"?.. LOL Those pills really can have an adverse reaction since you're taking beta blockers (I used to be on them, too). Diet pills usually don't work, especially for those of us with hypothyroidism.
Avatar n tn My fiance recently started to take the Slimquick with hoodia pills, and shes seems to be extremely stressed, jumpy, and moody, not to mention her stomach cramps and pains. this is my first time around diet pills, is this normal? will it get better? and how many should she be tanking a day?
Avatar n tn you can use diet pill as a secondary aid to losing but primary aid is not the best place to put it. GOOD LUCK my FRIEND!
Avatar f tn Doesn't sound like anything I'd want to get involved with. The best way to lose weight is still through sensible diet and moderate exercise......If that doesn't work, consult your doctor regarding a script for an approved weight loss med...
Avatar n tn I'm looking for information on the effect of diet pills on type 1 diabetic's. Specifically, I'm thinking of trying a product called cylaris. If anyone can give me any type of information, good or bad, or otherwise, I would truly appreciate it. Thanks again!
Avatar f tn Taking diet pills or caffinated drinks or the like is a bad idea if you suffer from GAD. In my opinion there are far better medications for GAD then propranolol. I would suggest you consult a psychiatrist and discuss the alternatives if you haven't already done so. They are far better options to solve your anxiety problem without the lethargy. It may even very well be the anxiety that's causing the lethargy as much as the propranolol.
177988 tn?1266802499 Has anyone here found any diet pills that work? I still have a very soft belly and some additional pounds from pregnancy and am looking for a little help in speeding up the process. My husband and I are having a wedding on our daughter's first birthday (since we were orginally married in a courthouse) and then we are having a huge 1st birthday bash for her. I really want to look great! I am a stay at home mom and run a small online business that consumes a lot of time and stress.
Avatar f tn My sister has been taking phentremine diet pills that she bought off the internet without a prescription. No one knew she was taking them. She was even taking them behind her husband's back. Now she is really sick. Anybody else get sick after taking them? The most disturbing of her symptoms is heart palpitations. Would appreciate hearing from anyone else who has had problems after taking these drugs.
Avatar f tn I have decided to change my dogs diet to the Canine Cancer Diet... low carb, high fat, high protein, homecooked. I have already added fish oil supplement (human grade) I squeeze it out of the liquid capsule and the same for Vitamin E. First... I have read conflicting information about the types of Omegas some say you need 3 & 6, while others say not to Omega 6 because it can cause cancer to grow. Omega 3&6 OR Omega 3???
Avatar f tn I too only take a folate pill. No iron, but I track my diet. Spinach meat etc. I use my fitness pal to ***** the other major vitamins. Food is the best source for some nutrients as they are better absorbed. If you are anemic iron supplementation is crucial.
Avatar f tn My poor dog seems to be allergic to everything he eats. Hes on a prescription hypoallergenic diet now and he's doing ok with it but its super expensive and it gives him bad breath. There has to be something better for him out there but until I find it I was thinking of going raw. One of my coworkers highly recommended it but all the information I can find on it is either all for it or all against it.
Avatar f tn Do not take the vitabese pills uless you are on a diet. Weekly take 2cc/ml of b-12 while on the diet. Get a doctor to find out if you will benefit from b-12 after the diet is over.
Avatar f tn I'm really self conscious because like i use to be a size 6 and now i'm a 10/12 and all my friends are really thin like 7/8 stone and i'm between 10/11, so i ordered adios diet pills, obvious i'm exercising but i'm desperate. But i was wondering if anyone knew if it was bad to like take them both?
Avatar n tn It is funny the previous question was about diet also. I don't have any symptoms of Hep C other than I notice that sometimes my upper right abdomen area is swollen and I can feel pressure under my rib cage. Other times I don't notice it at all. Is it possible certain foods or drinks may cause this? I tend to get pretty anxious about my health and am worried this swelling and pressure is something that needs immediate medical attention.
Avatar n tn I had to have a physical from my own doctor who had to sign some paper work from GHI and I had to have a blood test as specified from GHI Medical. I followed the 500 calorie diet religiously. I had plenty of energy to exercise which I did 5 - 6 aerobic work outs and 3 weight training work outs. I am a personal trainer and I was having an extremely frustrating time loosing weight after the birth of my 3rd child. Yes, I washed my hair and conditioned it.
Avatar m tn Diet should be healthy but what is healthy for us is high sodium. I generally do best on a low carb diet as sugar is an issue for me - but you have to figure out what is the best for you.
