Avatar f tn A loss of 50 lbs in 2 months is not healthy. That kinda has me concerned, because the "healthy" weight loss is 10lbs a month. The best thing you can do is to of course exercise (You want cardo programs or aerobic type programs to strengthen and tone, not build a lot of muscle). The key is to being active as much as possible, dancing is great, as is walking, and of course Yoga or Pilates.
764218 tn?1234573359 The safest way to lose weight is by eating healthy and exercising. I have tried weight loss pills with absolutely no results and awful side effects.
399749 tn?1201705223 I want to know what the best weight loss suplement is, I know many make your heart race, and mess with other parts of your body. Ive heard that Alli, can give you the runs. So what diet, or diet suplement has been the best?
Avatar f tn I really want to try out some weight loss pills but don't want to end up wasting my money, can anyone suggest any good ones that really work that I could possibly get from places like Boots?
Avatar n tn You can go to a Bariatrics doctor and they can prescribe for you and you get it from your actual pharmacy. Scary, my insurance covers diet pills. Doesn't cover birth control, but covers diet pills. You don't need to use them for very long, though. It will make your heart race and feel funny...thus, the reason they are abused. Definitely an upper, and yes, Andi, my house was SPOTLESS while on them. Oceans, you're so not fat. 138 is the perfect, curvy weight. Men don't like bones....
Avatar n tn What are the negative side affects? Whats the apporpriate age to start using diet pills? If not diet pills, then what other wight loss program is best for me?
Avatar n tn Weight loss can be just as tricky as weight gain. I am guessing that it's all about your metabolism. If it is slow, then it would explain why you are doing so much but not getting anywhere, or at least what you want. There are safe products that will speed up your metabolism. The thing is, at one time ephedrine was legal, and when used in moderation and safely had many benifits. However, people could not take it in moderation, they could not take a small amount, and they used it for drugs.
Avatar m tn N.B.: I'm not a fan of diet pills for anybody. Losing weight is best done by eating healthy foods so that you can learn the habits you need to keep the weight off once you've lost it. Diet pills won't do that. Think about a low carb plan as well, especially since you have so much to lose. It can be rather discouraging to start a weight loss plan that promises 1-2# of weight loss a week. That puts you at about a year to lose your weight. Yikes.
Avatar n tn hi blondie, If you have some issues with using pills you should try something else for your weight loss. I am using beyond weight management tea for my weight loss and it really worked great.
1641357 tn?1470498993 I also didn't even lose any weight! I really wouldn't recommend drugs (that's what diet pills amount to) to anyone, especially a mom that has to look after 2 young kids. I know it's hard to accept when the pill sites are promising fast weight-loss with no cons, but really, sensible dieting and getting way more active is the only healthy way to shed the extra pounds. The weight didn't get there overnight, so it's only sensible to realize that it won't get burnt off that fast either.
208164 tn?1189759432 I'm now 212 and I'm really missing those days since the weight has just piled up after 2 back to back pregnancies, the second being twins. Anyway, I'm geting very curious about trying fat-blocking pills or weight loss pills. I'm already on the Abs Diet and I've been able to stick with it o far and I've lost 2 pounds in almost a month, but on someone with my weight that hardly makes a difference. Have any of you tried diet pills or fat burning pills? What works? What's the safest?
Avatar n tn I have been taking diet pills for at least five years and recently (4 months ago) got on phentermine and redotex from mexico. I just found out today November 10 that I am four months pregnant! I've had no signs of pregnancy, havent had a period for at least eight years, no bump, no sickness, absolutely nothing, but did an ultrasound and found out. What my concern is, is if the baby will be healthy or if the pregnancy should be terminated?
Avatar n tn My mother was a diet pill addict, so I know how one person responds to speed for weight loss. She was aggravated without them and gained even more weight after stopping. So realize my opinion is highly biased, but exercise and diet are the best weight control. No pill will ever come close to having the lasting effects of caring for oneself. If you want some tips on boosting metabolism without speed, I am more than willing to share what I know.
Avatar f tn Along with eating healthy and tracking, I started going to the gym 3x's a week taking various classes, spin, work out classes, and sometimes use the machine. Are there any supplements and/or vitamins that I should or can take to boost my weight loss progress..

Avatar n tn I saw the weight loss product in the following website http://www.nutrition-and-your-health.com/index.
Avatar f tn 15 pounds in a month is too much to do safely. Safe weight loss is 1-2 pounds/week. What have you tried, so far?
Avatar f tn Try the Fat Smash Diet by Dr. Ian Smith if you want to kickstart your diet and lose weight fast and healthy. I did the first stage and lost 11 pounds in 8 days. Its basically eating mostly fruits and veggies, also beans, brown rice, yogart, egg whites, drinking lots of water and etc... You got to eat every 3 hours and work out atleast 30 minutes a few days a week. Its basically a natural detox without the pills.
Avatar n tn Diet pills are a short term solution and once you come off the pills, your weight will bounce back. It would be even worse if the pills come with side effects such as purging, unsteady heart rate, excessive sweating and worse, ruin your metabolism indirectly. Include more endurance training in your exercise regime and make it high intensity and more than 30 minutes. Watch your calories, choose healthy foods, reduce your carbs (don't cut it off), and watch the weight slide off 2-5lbs a week.
Avatar n tn proper exercise as you can digest your food. See weight loss is not a fly by night process. It takes time. common weight loss mistakes are as follows: (1) you have to fix your diet plan according to you(becuase u r obese) not according to a average person. this thing is often ignored by most of the people. because they follow a diet plan that is suitable for an average healthy man.
557490 tn?1326797183 why is it so hard to lose weight? i have been trying and im just ready to give up. im wanting to lose so that i feel better about myself and so my 3 yr old son iss proud of me. also i was told that if i dont lose soon it will be hard to get pregnant again adn me adn my husband even our son wants another kid before our son is to old. im trying the alli program so we will see what happens.
Avatar n tn Just don't get discouraged, try to avoid extreme changes in your diet - small changes work best. Take care!
Avatar f tn And in reality, this isn’t the case either. Now, to understand how exercise effects weight-loss, you have to understand how your body creates energy, and there are only 2 ways it does it. One is by burning fat and the other is by burning blood sugar, or glucose. Even when you’re not doing anything strenuous your body still burns fat. It’s known as “Resting Metabolic Rate.” So, when you’re sitting at a desk, driving a car, watching TV, or even sleeping, your body is still burning fat.
Avatar f tn With all due respect, can not recommend any diet pills to anyone. The only true way to lose weight is through healthy nutritional food, moderate exercise, and making a lifestyle change. Diets and diet pills simply do not work. There is no quick fix but weight loss is most attainable. If you'd like support in losing weight naturally, would be happy to be of assistance. Best wishes ... to your health ...
Avatar f tn The biggest advice I have for you is to make your goals a little smaller. There is absolutely no healthy way to lose 55 pounds in five months. A healthy weight loss is 1-2 pounds a week. To lose weight and be happy about your progress you need to make realistic goals. Know your portions and try to get protein at every meal. The more fiber the better as it will fill you up and you won't feel as hungry.
Avatar n tn I am very depressed about my weight and I am trying to find out about weight loss programs that truly work. Please give me some ideas before I go crazy.

Avatar n tn If you are going to be active and in a healthy frame of mind, you are going to need something to pick you up! Just make it healthy! About diet pills: they are not what makes or breaks somebodys weight loss efforts. If you are already pretty lean, they may help you to lose that last little bit before a figure, fitness, or bodybuilding competition. BUT if you have a long way to go, they are definitely not something that will be a miracle.
