I'm in cycle 2 of the 17 day diet. I've lost 10 pounds thus far. The diet allows turkey, chicken and some fish in the first cycle, but I wouldn't say it was "Meat based." Veggies, fruit, probiotics and water play a huge part in the diet! I've found many new ways to make chicken, turkey, turkey burgers, etc. I, too, grew tired in the first week of chicken, but with the research I've done I'm no longer bored.
