My quick advice would be exercise until you're sweating profusely, lots of water during and after exercise, and lean proteins, veggies, and fruits throughout the day adding up to about 1200 calories per day. If you can eat five small meals rather than two-three larger meals. Cut out starches, pasta, and bread, but still get fiber into your meals. Good luck!
Avatar m tn BTW I doubt you lost 4lbs of fat today, probably most of it is water weight. Best to lose weight gradually anyway -- like 1-2 lbs per week. Not sure what your nurse means by "make no diff".
Avatar n tn hi. i find it very very hard to lose weight.... despite exercise and diet..... my weight either remains the same or increases. eg. after working very hard in the gym and following a low-carb diet, i was able to lose only 3 kgs!! even my personal trainer and friends and family felt there's something not right. I recently got blood test done along with a USG scan. my thryroid seems to be fine and i do not have pcos. but my prolactin levels are high ie 31.5 ng/ ml.

5623242 tn?1371127079 thank you for your reply im losing inches just not my weight i have lost 9 inches in 10 months maybe im going wrong at the carbs as i like to keep carb meals under 50 i have a porrage for breakfast and detox tea then i will have a banana around 10.30 ish then a granery sandwich with rocket and low fat cheese or ham and low fat yoghurt for luch around 12.
Avatar m tn Then continued to eat healthy for 2 months, but turned into a total couch potato. Did not get on the scale. I figured I did not lose any weight. I got on and was down 20 pounds. I did not even notice it. Huh? How did that happen. now I am back to diet and exercise (I am eating more, but the exercise makes me hungry, but its mainly more fruit, bigger salad, etc...) and I am losing weight but slower than when I did not even notice that I was losing weight.

Avatar f tn i've been using this alli diet pills since july and i've lost 10+ lbs. i'm really bad when it comes to dieting. i dont eat right and dont excerise because i'm either bored or too tired. i went to the docs and they weighed me at 151lbs in june. and in late aug i bought a scale and it said i was 141lb. woohoo! it's now oct i losted 3 1/2 inches total. i dont know how much i weigh now cause i returned the scale. :-( but to the people who are lazy like me ;-) this pill works.

I've tracked my diet before but some of the other programs were so time consuming, so I just eat basically the same every day. Everyone in my family on both sides are thin and eat whatever they want and drink alcohol. I don't do either.

Talking about your weight is a very sensitive issue, and it sounds like you are determined to achieve a goal to meet a goal. But, remember, any weightloss done fast, immediate, or quick, will not work! You have to incorporate eating healthier smaller portioned meals coupled with routine daily exercise. It's as simple as that. Have you stuck with walking briskly long enough to see results?

I started drinking slim fast about 1.5 months ago and I started doing weight training about a month ago. Yet despite all of this I have yet to lose 1lb or any inches. This is VERY frustrating... what am I doing wrong? I do have a thyroid disorder but I really need to lose weight....
