anti-aging

Avatar n tn Currently manufacturers of skin products have been trying to provide a wide array of skin care products to suit each skin type. For an individual to get the best skin care, one should follow a particular regimen of cleansing, toning , exfoliating and moisturizing. As one grows older however, exfoliation may damage the thinning skin. Cleansing and moisturizing are still essential as one ages. The use of sunscreen for the face is still a must.
1547525 tn?1293750771 As far as skin creams go, the Nivea is pretty good, but I use the Neutrogena Healthy Skin Anti-Wrinkle cream and I think he helps cover at least some of those ugly smoking lines. Hope it helps you too!
Avatar n tn There is really no single effective product as skin reactions to these products do vary. Wrinkles may be lessened by using moisturizers. These products may smoothen out skin and also improve fine lines over the eyes and near the mouth. Vitamin E cream may be a good choice when used to moisturize. Also, using sunscreen with an SPF of at least 30 during the day or during prolonged exposure to the sun may help reduce wrinkles.
Avatar f tn I naturally have sensitive skin, but since I got towards the end of the 1st trimester, I've found that my forehead gets incredibly dry and flaky. Is this (dry skin) a symptom of pregnancy? What's the best product to use to moisturize super dry skin? Are there products (lotions and moisturizers) I should avoid while pregnant? First time mom at 11w+4, so I apologize if I seem naive.
1028452 tn?1537448484 The most consistent, enthusiastic exercisers are those who do activities they like, whether it’s dancing, hiking or aqua aerobics. Exercise has a strong, anti-aging effect on cells’ DNA. It influences telomeres, “caps” at the ends of DNA strands, kind of like the tips on shoelaces, which protect chromosomes from destruction. Telomeres shorten progressively over time, leading to cellular damage due to the inability of the cell to duplicate itself correctly.
Avatar m tn Healthy lifestyle (nutrition, physical activity, stress reduction, inspiring social activities, etc.) is the best way to maintain overall good health and reverse aging. Still, skin should be protected from outside as well, especially from UV rays and other damaging environmental factors. Skin dryness that you are experiencing should be addressed topically.
948202 tn?1245941816 I have not had any breakous for about 2 months since using clindamycin during the day, and sulfacetamide at night. Avatar f tn Thank you for your advice. I made an appointment with a dermatologist but it isn't until the end of June. I drink tons of water (at least half a gallon a day), but I still experience signs of moderate dehydration relatively frequently (especially in the morning).
Avatar f tn Facelift surgery is the best solution of anti-ageing. It help in restoring a more youthful and rested appearance to their face, thereby helping them in ageing more gracefully with the passage of time.
Avatar f tn chard, dandelion, kale, celery, carrots and ginger. Your best bet is to blend them into a smoothie so you can eat a lot at once. Raw coco butter and almond oil rubbed directly on your skin helps with elasticity and hydration drink a lot of water. These measures will make a small difference but generally the skin has already been damaged from being stretched and it will wrinkle and sag when it's no longer being extended.
Avatar f tn I use vasaline coco butter with my first pregnancy not one strech mark. I am 23 weeks pregnant now and still using the same thing. Works like a charm I think! so far so good not one strech mark. Everyone asks me how I do it.
1481901 tn?1287727244 I heard somewhere to avoif anything that is anti aging (in regards to moisturizer and facial wash).
Avatar f tn Noxema products are great on treating acne. They contain things like Eucalyptus and menthol in them which refreshes and moisturizes your skin. I've used it for years. (By the way, stay away from Stridex pads, they horrible for your skin). I'd say the best treatment for your skin is a microbead Noxema cleaner before bed every night. That will prevent the acne and make your skin healthy and soft.
Avatar m tn i am healthy and drink lots of water and just use vitamin e wipes, i changed products but the more products i use on my skin the worse it gets
Avatar f tn It is completely independent, I do have to leave the house for shows, but I make money for products sold, and for products sold by consultants underneath me, I enjoy setting my own schedule and because everyone needs face wash, moisturizers, lotions, and anti-aging skin care products business is never slow. I an out of my home for approx 9 hours a week and do another 3 hours of work in my home and I make over $400/week.
Avatar n tn Since these acne products increase cell turnover and exfoliation, I was wondering if extensive use could lead to premature aging of the skin. One of the components of aging is mutation via repeated DNA replication. The more times your body makes copies of its cells, the higher the chance of a mutation occurring and a less-than-perfect copy being made. So, does it follow that BP and SA, by increasing skin cell renewal, would hasten the aging process?
Avatar n tn I would avoid heavy moisturisers if you are prone to acne as over use of oily anti-aging products has lead, in part, to the increase of adult acne in women.
1064785 tn?1406638398 I do not know if there is anything specifically geared towards pregnancy- I am sure there is. I like the 'skin deep' section on the environemental working groups page. Please know it is kind of overly-cautious, but at least you can see why somethings are worse for you than others and what the ingredients are that shoud be avoided. Hope this helps! Congrats on your tww! Stick and grow baby!
Avatar n tn I have always had very clear skin (other than rare outbreaks of exzema) , I eat well and drink 2 litres of water a day. I have changed skin products to natural products with no perfume, chemicals etc, but no difference. I use to think the cause was my hair touching my face, by I pin that back now and still get them- not as bad though. I've seen the doctor and he has diagnosed it exzema and prescribed me hydrochotisone cream, which works ish but they soon return once I stop using it.
Avatar f tn Natural vitamin E is proven to reverse the effects of skin aging. It is an excellent example of a natural antioxidant which is present in a lot of different face and body creams. Another is Vitamin A, or retinol. This is known for its ability to stimulate collagen and elastin fibres. These vitamins are available in a lot of dietary products and also can be taken as supplements. Dehydration can cause the skin to look like it's sagging and loose, hence drink lots of water.
Avatar n tn I am constantly reading about skin care and I reread and reread my skin care books which tell me which products are good. I have tried them all and I never feel like I can be satisfied with what I'm using. I have returned so many skin care products that I am now the talk of head of office of Shoppers Drug Mart; I am no longer allowed to return products. I feel incredibly anxiety. Am I alone? Do I have OCD? I have just realized reading other posts than I have scalp picking, too.
Avatar f tn Does anyone know if a handheld LED/Ultrasound device used for skin anti-aging purposes would affect the thyroid if used over the neck, if there is a diagnosis of hypo OR hyperthyroidism? Thank you.
