Does it even skin tone with out lightening the entire face, will is cause more bad than good, or is it not the best product to use for blemishes? I am an African American female of dark complexion, 20 years old.
Also, is there a face cleaner you reccommend for someone to use if they are allergic to the water in their area to prevent other bumps from forming peridodicaly?

If you were my patient, I would advise you that the best products for rosacea and acne are prescription antibiotics. One option to consider would be laser or broad band light treatments at a medi-spa in your area, These are pricey too, but can give lasting results.

i have mild to moderate acne. I have recently started using panoxyl face wash, which has 10% w/w benzoyl peroxide in it. I use the product once a day in the morning. Is the face wash more affective or is the panoxyl gel? and can i use the two products together?

You can get it in acne pads like Clearasil, etc. You have to apply them two to three times a day for about three weeks before you'll start noticing a difference, but they should get rid of those bumps in about a month's time. If the bumps are red, add Persagel (benzoyl peroxide), but always wear white underwear with this product.
First with regards to your 2008 response to Acne Vulgaris, can the 2.5% Benzoyl Peroxide facial cleanser, beta hydroxy acid, or the Salicylic acid be use on my legs? I have these symptoms on the tops of my thighs and they are starting to cause mild pain when I get "goose bumps" in the O.R. at work.
I bought tersaseptic antibacterial cleanser for my acne and my dermatologist said it's one of the best cleansers out there but I'm reading about it and it looks like it can cause cancer and it's bad for you. I've got really severe acne and I'm now taking accutane.
If this cleanser is so bad why did my dermatologist recommend me to use it. I also got a lot of skin irritation and redness could this be a bad sign from the cleanser?
ive had these for a day already, and i was hoping i could get rid of them not tomorrow morning but the next morning. its very important. i have some skin care stuff, acne stuff, sun burn and irritation stuff, etc...

Two dermos said there was nothing they could do for me...that it was adult acne. They said to try glycolic and salicylic acid peels. I have tried both for about a year and 30% salicylic acid seems to work the best as far as providing a good peel. This seems to thin the skin surface to make the whiteheads pop easier. My face is still filled with them and I see no end. I have even used wart remover on them which causes scabs but sometimes works.
I'm an esthetician, and I would suggest starting a good routine for your skin. Cleanse, tone, exfoliate and moisturize. Do these four steps every morning and night and I'm sure you'll see some improvement. Try not to be too hard on yourself though because acne in pregnancy is hormonal and there is only so much you can do for hormonal acne... The good news is it will clear up eventually. Also drink LOTS of water, this helped my acne a lot...

Thank you so much, you're very kind. Yes, I do have extremely oily skin as well as acne, although my acne has improved over the years. I'm currently undergoing laser hair removal on my face and have been told to avoid chemical peels, etc. until that procedure has been completed. In the mean time I guess I'll try and hang in there and look into proper cleaning and toning options.
Exfoliation may only aggravate the condition once acne lesions are present. You may continue using a product with benzoyl peroxide just over the affected area. Use a sunscreen when using products containing this ingredient. This does not sound like an urgent or serious case of acne, Taking vitamin supplements, getting adequate sleep and sticking to a balanced diet (avoiding greasy food and sweets) may be able to help.
Refrain from unnecessarily touching the face. Wash your hands frequently.
