Common Questions and Answers about Benefits of coffee without sugar

coffee

Avatar m tn One or two cups late morning and afternoon has many benefits but not every day. Coffee is like a buggy whip, it can be overdone. It must be black. It is much different when you add cream and sugar. Some coffee is more like a milk shake with a little coffee flavor. If you don't like it black, you really don't like coffee.
Avatar f tn so try to stay under that... also remember that the pop has a lot of sugar also and no nutritional benefits... if you can limit to say 1 can a day or 1 coffee a day that would prob be safer... less is always best... drinking water has many benefits during pregnancy...
Avatar m tn if possible reduce sugar and use honey or fruttosio instead of sugar (i don t know in engish but it is sugar from fruit), this is healthier than plain sugar i actually don t use sugar and very little sault beacuse i found that body just adapts and you feel sugar and sault from the food directly.
Avatar n tn My sister uses raw honey, but that too will spike your blood glucose levels. I'd try to find a coffee that you enjoy without having to add sugar if you can't get around the aftertaste of Stevia.
Avatar m tn by the way sugar and salts are just mental, i mean i dont use ny sugar and any salt, same my sister, after some weeks your own body balances and you feel the sugars and salts in the food now i am free not to use them and feel foods even more delicious especially coffee (well the bad quality coffee without sugar can be felt mmeditely and is disgusting but coffee with lil milk is ok and the sugar taste comes from milk)
749963 tn?1298037994 If you drank 3-4 strong cups of coffee, with or without sugar, the leftover caffeine can skewer your test results. Try testing first thing in the morning [fasting] before you consumed any liquids or foods. This will provide you with a more accurate representation of your blood glucose levels. Be sure to calibrate the meter beforehand. 2.] Are you planning on seeing your doctor soon? As previously mentioned test your T1 & T2 antibodies.
Avatar f tn Patients with Hepatitis C-related liver disease, who have a higher consumption of coffee, have a lower rate of disease progression than those drinking less coffee. http://www.coffeeandhealth.org/topics/liverdisease/ http://www.coffeeandhealth.org/topics/liverdisease/references/ I have not read that coffee helps with the sides though. The acidity of coffee made me sick when I was taking the Incivek.
Avatar f tn The present study investigated the effect of the simultaneous consumption of coffee and milk on the urinary excretion of chlorogenic acids (CGA) and metabolites. Subjects were submitted to consumption of water, instant coffee (609 mmol of CGA) dissolved in water, and instant coffee dissolved in whole milk. Urine was collected for 24 h after consumption of each treatment for analysis of CGA and metabolites by HPLC/LC-MS.

Avatar f tn This was an article that was e-mailed to me in my weekly newsletter. I was actually on a very strict diet for over two weeks. I had to abstain from corn, wheat (gluten), sugar and dairy products for at least two weeks. The day after my physician recommended this elimination diet for me, I actually started it and DID it ! That was how I found out that I had a gluten intolerance. Also, by the end of those two weeks... I felt so much better. So Scott Olson, N.D.
Avatar n tn I have been under a lot of stress during the past year and have been eating excessive amounts of sugar (lots of red bull type energy drinks, pizza, chocolate along with coffee. I quit drinking coffee about 3 months ago & was eating more sugar to compensate for not having the caffine, & recently noticed how I take sugar to pick myself up when I'm feeling down- the same way I used to habitually drink coffee & espresso.
Avatar m tn The patients had as much as a 25 percent lower risk of death from heart disease compared to non-coffee drinkers, and an 18 percent lower rate of death from causes other than heart disease or cancer. Curiously, the men in the study showed no significant change in their risk factor. And for all you true coffee drinkers out there who are wondering … we're talking about REGULAR coffee here, NOT decaffeinated. The good stuff. The hi-test.
755829 tn?1246919225 It depends on the method of decafination. Some methods of producing decaf coffee use extremely toxic solvents known to be neurological toxins, as well as being carcinogenic. This was the case until the mid 1990's when a new non-toxic processing system was introduced. You want decaf coffee that is processed with the harmless super-critical carbon dioxide process.
Avatar m tn Green-Fu is surely an excellent product and you shouldn’t hesitate to buy it now due to its endless benefits. Chlorogenic acid in green coffee is one of the most critical components in the product and you will certainly benefit a whole lot by consuming it on a regular basis.
3206391 tn?1345548398 Checked it again this morning without the coffee and it is 110.....so looks like the Dr. was right although the coffee did effect it. I have gained a lot of weight since November due to hypothyroid and nodules on my thyroid. I just had a biopsy done on that, but it wasn't enough cells to determine anything. I am scheduled to go back to the Endo Wednesday to see where we go next on the thyroid issue and I will give him the results on my readings.

755829 tn?1246919225 I recommend cutting out all coffee. But if you must drink coffee then yes, I would say that decaff is better than regular coffee. Decaff contains little to no caffeine while regular coffee contains high amounts of caffeine. Caffeine can cause MANY problems. I would name them all but it would take me a very long time. Look at this website for further information on caffeine and the side effects it has. Some you have probably already had and didn't even notice.
Avatar f tn im not sure about the packs of water flavors if they have as good of benefits, i know coffee and tea tend to be negatives... be careful on some of the vitamin waters as some have warnings not to consume if prego... or something about pregnancy(maybe consult your Dr first? i cant remember i read it one one of then 2 years ago with my first pregnancy) |I prefer my water to be really cold and drink it better with ice....

568322 tn?1370165440 Interestingly, a study showed that when diabetics had caffeine equivalent to four cups of coffee, their average daily blood sugar levels rose 8 per cent. On the other hand, pre-diabetics (fasting blood sugar higher than 100) had the equivalent to 3 cups of coffee and three hours later, their blood sugar increased by 15 percent and the insulin production by 18 percent. So pre-diabetics may not see a big increase in their blood sugar, but the hyperinsulinemia is getting worse.
