coffee

755829 tn?1246919225 I recommend cutting out all coffee. But if you must drink coffee then yes, I would say that decaff is better than regular coffee. Decaff contains little to no caffeine while regular coffee contains high amounts of caffeine. Caffeine can cause MANY problems. I would name them all but it would take me a very long time. Look at this website for further information on caffeine and the side effects it has. Some you have probably already had and didn't even notice.
755829 tn?1246919225 Hi there, I provide some basic advice on other forums, but am looking for some advice of my own now, I am wondering if there are health benefits in cutting out coffee and replacing it with decafe coffee, some friends say its good others say it's no better?
Avatar f tn t think al get much money/ help as I wrk full time at the mo and will be leaving for meternanty round July august 16hrs my partner is only on a part time contract but always dose 39+ hrs and is hopping to get full time round the time I leve or Evan a managers persuasion.
8112046 tn?1396620403 Yeah this would be fmla. Most companies have paperwork you would have to felt out for both which should be completed by your doctor and approved. Keep in mind most managers don't understand HR benefits. I would maybe take the approach has you are getting tired and see if they can help with tasks or breaks that give your body better rest.
Avatar f tn Oh, I remember now. Your job is hard 'labor' type of work cleaning. You had wanted light duty. did you ever get that? Could you go full time with light duty? If your job is part time, is it every day? could you find someone else to take your daughter on your days of work? Can you switch to weekends so dad can watch her?
1396846 tn?1332459510 It may be the Pharmacy Benefits Manager which handles drugs for the Insurance. In my case it is Medco. Pharmacy Benefits Managers are the middle men between drug companies and the consumer. They negotiate the cost of a drug for the insurance and set some of the rules sometimes for safety and sometimes for cost. I do not have to buy my medication from Medco but they still set the rules.
Avatar f tn The newest study just published yesterday suggests that coffee not only benefits your likelyhood of beating this virus, it also decreases the risk of liver cancer and fibrosis. In the past the emphasis was caffeine was the determining factor but new research disproves this finding. More research is underway but it appears an intrinsic component in coffee found in decaf and regular creates this positive environment. You must consume 3 cups or more daily.
Avatar f tn Epidemiologic studies have suggested that there is a cause and effect associated with coffee intake and its benefits on the liver. These findings are supported by the few randomized controlled trials available. In one study comparing patients infected with hepatitis C, those who drank 3 cups of coffee per day or more received the greatest benefit.

Avatar f tn So I'm only working two days a week now...due to new managers...anyway I feel like I'm going to lose my damn mind!!! I'm at home by myself all the time because everybody works and I'm so sick of watching t.v. lol....man I feel like I'm on bed rest....all I do is shower...sleep...read to my daughter or talk to her while she's kicking....and eat....which I don't do too much now because the thought of food makes of sick.....And its too hot to do anything else....
Avatar m tn I'm a first timer. My appointment with my doctor isn't until next week. I've had a single cup of coffee for the past few days but now I'm worrying. There is so much conflicting information about caffeine and pregnancy. Thoughts?
1237757 tn?1323143119 Welcome to the club! I'm also looking for a job right now for the next summer season! I'm working as hotel receptionist and doing seasons for now! I skiped this winter season 'cause i didn't want to go far away and there was nothing close! I must say that i'm impressed with how you are dealing with your problem! Sure, get the best out of it! My problem is my secret! And no one knows about it, but my family! And my boss from 2009.
Avatar f tn There are a lot of mixed medical opinions out there regarding this so you should do what you feel comfortable with both physically and emotionally...caffeine is tough to kick so if you decide to cut it out of your diet do it slowly by switching to a mix of decaf and regular...I personally gave it up while I was prego but I had a miscarriage at 11 weeks...however I quickly went back to my old habit and it is a b**** to kick it again!
7550046 tn?1408669967 I work in a supermarket and was on a department where I was constantly on my feet for 9 hours at a time (I work part time) and I wasn't allowed a chair. I had a word with managers and they transferred me onto checkouts as they have chairs down there and they also shortened my shifts and spread them out more over the week. Definitely worth having a word with the managers though hun. If that doesn't work then see about the other job?

1530342 tn?1405016490 html WASHINGTON (Reuters) - President Barack Obama pressed his case on Saturday for achieving deficit reduction, in part by ending tax breaks and singling out hedge fund managers, oil companies and billionaires to take the hit. Obama is locked in a dispute with Republicans over how to bring down the deficit as part of a deal to raise the debt ceiling and prevent Washington from default. Democrats insist that some tax increases be included in a deficit-cutting package.
Avatar m tn Coffee consumption is on the rise in the United States and over half of Americans drink it everyday, according to the National Coffee Association. Antioxidants in general have been linked to a number of potential health benefits, including protection against heart disease and cancer. For the current study, Vinson and his associates analyzed the antioxidant content of more than 100 different food items, including vegetables, fruits, nuts, spices, oils and common beverages.
Avatar m tn One or two cups late morning and afternoon has many benefits but not every day. Coffee is like a buggy whip, it can be overdone. It must be black. It is much different when you add cream and sugar. Some coffee is more like a milk shake with a little coffee flavor. If you don't like it black, you really don't like coffee.
Avatar m tn I'd really like to know the same thing. Joe likes coffee normally but can't really tolerate the acid and caffiene when on TX. I also wonder about adding cream. I know the cream has been reported to bind and inhibit the good benefits reported from coffee. I don't know if this applies to this use or not.
Avatar m tn Coffee is a diuretic so you would go to urinate more if you drink coffee. Another reason for having an urge to urinate often can be from weak core muscles and also urinary infections. It is likely that your urine infection cleared up at the same time as you started taking your supplements. If you do experience going a lot to urinate it would be a good idea to get your urine tested for any infections. Best wishes.
Avatar m tn Ironically, the only time I cannot drink coffee is when I am taking HCV meds. Go figure. I am not familiar with the coffee & SVR studies but I remember there was a lengthy thread about coffee recently. I stumbled across an article about coffee and liver disease & HCV in some on line science magazine recently too. Only this one did not address a relationship between coffee & SVR with HCV.
Avatar f tn Does anyone else work in retail and hates it ? Some people can be so mean , and now that I'm pregnant I'm so emotional and I just wanna cry when people are mean to me lol. Plus my managers all suck and they are also super rude ...I'm so glad I only have to work there another month and a half, cause by then I'll be eight months and I'll be quitting . . And finding a different job couple months after my baby is born.
306867 tn?1299249709 our financial world will continue to be run by the very financiers who crashed the system two years ago. The bankers' arguments ricocheting through the halls of Congress make it seem as if our financial system is basically rational and sound -- that only a few flaws need fixing. That's lunacy. Our bright bankers may be rational as individuals, but collectively they perpetuate a fractured system gone utterly mad... and getting madder every day.
Avatar f tn I'm going to be a first time single mother on low income. I've already applied for medicaid cash assistance and food card but my sister was telling me i should do some research because given my situation i should qualify for more benefits like free diapers and what not.
12365171 tn?1424880667 Half the time they discover a small amount of something has negative effects then later find benefits. I think i saw one study showing benefits of coffee drinking on the heart, just like they did with wine but that could change in ten years and they will say the opposite. I think as long as it's in moderation you're probably just fine. As long as it's not meth or something!
