i just had folkerson ostadomy done to my left knee. at night when i lay down i prop it but the pain seems to get worse once i am relaxed. i still have my staples in but due to have them removed i get a burning feeling in my lower leg constant. i dont know if i should go in to see my ortho doc. b4 my apt. time. i am not aloud to open the bandages that are on it so i dont know what it looks like. i am worried that it could be infected. i was put on an antibiotic but still no improvement.
I feel like sometimes my knee might give in, sharp pain with movement, pain when stretching and knee sore to touch (top left, below knee cap, lower right side). My follow-up to review the results of MRI is in 4 weeks and I'm in a lot of pain... besides P.R.I.C.E. is there anything I should avoid or do to help cope with my pain? I can share my MRI images if needed... thanks!
Having had a partial knee replacement 6 weeks ago I can say that the movement and flexibility of the knee is very good. I have adhered to the post op exercise regime and I am free from sticks and supports. However I do suffer pain on the inside of my knee whilst walking which may or may not be soft tissue and/or MCL damage or scarring. I suppose I need to give it time although do get a bit disheartened at times as I would not have expected such pain at this stage.
I have a hot feeling on my right knee, but it is not hot to touch it feels like I have a heater on it half the time. It comes and go often but only lasting for 1 minute or less. It doesn't hurt but is very annoying. Anybody else had or have this problem.
do hard impact contact to the ground in 5 or 6 different areas of the body ,cause changes that later turn painful ,cronic , such as parachute landing ,feet knee ,arm, shoulder in the military they teach you to land with least amount of trama to the body , this was not allways easy to do and i feel the injurys way after the service, cervical ,and lumbar and knee problems all extremly painfull and seem to be worse each year?
Hi all, I am not sure why I am writing down all this. I guess I am looking for some support. It's been almost 5 months now since my high risk exposure. The anxiety gets worse and worse, so I finally decided to go back to my home country to do the final test.
I've been tested negative after one week and 39 days. It didn't really give me much relieve. rather the opposite: I got so anxious that I couldn't go to a further test.

Because of the atrophy in my leg, I will have to wear a brace for the rest of my life and this brace seems to be the one that gives me the most support. I hope your knee is better and you do not have to wear a brace indefinitely but if you do, I recommend the Donjoy Defiance III. It is a custom fitted brace. Your doctor should be able to help. Please review attached image of very recent results. Tell me what you make of it, particularly as relates to the numbers concerning my thyroid. I have been perscribed synthroid 0.05mg and cytomel 25mcg.
I should also mention that years ago I was told that my pituitary is enlarged.
ve felt a constant burning (sometimes stabbing) pain which is mainly behind my knee cap, and at the top of the knee cap (where the thigh meets the knee), it also clicks and somedays feels very stiff. this pain fluctuates every day, and some days it will feel almost fine, some days i will be in agony, both of which sometimes stick around for months. excercise is STILL extremely difficult due to pain levels and my knee sometimes locking up.
It sounds like your surgeon is describing osteonecrosis. There is an entity known as "spontaneous onsteonecrosis of the knee." or "SPONK" This occurs rarely after knee after knee arthroscopy and can resolve after a period of rest and non-weight bearing. I t is not usually a reult of swelling. If anything, two weeks may be to soon to expect any change, either positive or negative, and often 6 weeks is used before re-evaluation.
Hey, yes been through all the test and all come back normal. He has a child from a previous relationship so I knew it was my side. It's just so heartbreaking every month when the period arrives. My next review appointment isn't until 4th August. I sat and cried like a child this morning because it's such a drawn out process.
Can I get cortisone shots after total knee replacement? I've had swelling and much pain for the past 8 months and my surgeon says he's sorry this happen but there is nothing he can do about it.
A bakers cyst is usuallt the result of a problem with the knee joint such as arthritis or a meniscal tear. Both cause increased fluid in the knee that can lead to a cyst. A physical exam is always done to check for medial or lateral knee pain. Popping or clicking in knee, this indicated cartilage tear and MRIs are not always full proof.
The underlying problem is usually treated first and may require a diagnostic arthroscopy.
I decided to go to a different ortho doctor when I started to have pain in my left hip and knee and was told that my right leg is now significantly longer than the left. I do have arthritis in that hip but had not planned on having that one done for at least another 5-10 years. Now the new doctor tells me I should have it done asap. I am only 53 and admit that the first one took a lot of of me mentally. Did the first doctor make a mistake in surgery? Any suggestions?
